Thank you. You’re the first person, out of the few self inflating mat videos I’ve watched, that has actually properly shown how the mat inflates and deflates. Exactly what I was looking for. Many thanks.
Thank you so much, Gary! Why Vango don't have any instructions in the bag is beyond me. I was completely stumped as to how to inflate it before I watched your video.
I think Gary's videos are very useful and interesting for any potential buyer. I bought off him and that was basically because of these very useful video clips of what you are actually buying.
Thanks for this. I just bought one of these, and there aren't any instructions - I had to work it out for myself (fairly successfully, to be fair) but the finer details in this video are incredibly useful.
We use this Sim the large one. Excellent nights sleep. Packed away today totally forgot about switching the valve. This has been a fab reminder thanks Gary.
Thank you so much for the excellent demo and explanation! I've been looking into something like this for a little while and didn't understand how they work until now.
just bought one of these but a dble one and they are the shizbiz.....total comfort the king of self inflating mattresses....only thing is they are massive once rolled up and in their bags but to solve that I jst purchased a camping trolley and that works a treat to carry all the heavy gear......yaaaaaaasssssss roll on many camping missions and long cosy nights..... : )
I am a heavy (125kg) side sleeper. I bought a luxury kampa kip with one of these valves ... I keep having to return them and I'm now on my 3rd mat because the area in the seams around the valve starts to leak. There seems to be weak points where the side seams open to allow the valve to be fitted, which develop holes. There doesn't seem to be a weight limit on the mat, but maybe the extra pressure causes this issue on this design of valve? I am going to admit defeat and get one of the box-sided ones which seem to be a better design. Would you have a personal recommendation please?
Hi, I've had a similar experience with a vango 7.5cm grand, we bought two of the vango selfinflating mattress and they both leaked at the seam near the valve whilst we were camping in August this year, to be fair the company we bought them from are exchanging both mattresses to an upgrade 10cm grand comfort vango which means I'll have to sleep on them at home to make sure they dont leak.
Do yourself a favour and do not buy a Vango inflatable matress. The valves and the material around the valves will begin leaking within a very short period. Terrible build quality.

finally i find a heavy man like me doing a review of mat. everyone else is a stick figure telling me how comfy they are lol
Haha... I highly recommend the Vango Comfort 10cm Grande or the Kampa Kip 10cm Wideboy if you are on the large side. :-)
@@camping_guru_uk do you know how long the vango 10cm is? i want the vango 15cm but its too long to fit in my minivan
You will have an issue, they are all about 200cm long.
@@camping_guru_uk guess i could bend the end a bit, doubt it will hurt the pad. thx!
Excellent video! 📼
Great channel this mate, appreciate all the videos.

Don't listen to it then 😂
Not useful. Poor explanation.
very useful video. post a video of you self doing a better video then.
rob thomas how is it a poor explanation? The video was great, maybe you’re just a bit dim 👍🏼
Nonsense. The explanation and demonstration was excellent.
