The daily floor climb will be accurate even if your starting altitude is wrong. For example, I am 30m above sea level. However, my watch might show I am at 150m due to changing barometric pressure. This means my ACTUAL height above sea level is wrong, BUT, my daily floors climbed data is correct as it measures it from your daily starting altitude. If you want the altitude data in the watch to be correct, calibrate the barometric pressure setting each day. Use a reliable source like www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2646403 to get pressure in millibars for your local area :-)
thanks for your video.. is the screen always on and if so can you turn it off when sleeping and if not can you turn it on for constant referral when exercising without having to move or turn the screen? thank you
-why does my watch show so many active calories ? I exercise for about an hour everyday with avg hr around 165. Showing me around 600 cals burnt. But during the rest of the day when I'm sitting, it counts around 1500-2000 of my active cals. So gives me around (2400resting + 2600active = 5000 cals Everyday) I've kept activity class 3, and also tried increasing my RHR upto 110 in the heart rate zones to see if that helps. But it doesn't. My weight 96kg -Height-6ft -Normal heart Rate (resting hr) around 75-85 Peak HR 202 Low HR 72 Thanks a ton. Love from India.
Atman Sheth hi. Around 2k calories per day - basal metabolic burn - would be about right for someone your height / weight. Try this calculator - www.bodybuilding.com/fun/bmr_calculator.htm 1 hour hard exercise like a 10k / 6 mile run would burn about 100-115 calories per mile. It all sounds right to me. Approx 2000 calories per day from doing nothing - your basal metabolic rate Then 110 calories per mile or per 10 mins of HR zone 4 exercise Cheers. T 😊
my VAHR shows around 600 cals burnt for the running exercise. while it keeps adding active cals even when I'm sitting on my couch! it should add in my resting calories no? My TDEE adds up to be around 3000 (BMR+active cals) so then how can my garmin show me 5000+ cals ?
Atman Sheth - I understand. I agree it doesn't sound correct. I assume you've got all the latest firmware updates? Sorry - sounds like one for Garmin support 😳
This watch does support open water swimming. Go on Garmin connect, activities, create activity, activity type, and then scroll down to open water swimming.
please explain how to set altimeter for those challenging the steps and floors climbed each day.

@Cardio Critic - Is there a compatible belt for this, if so which one?
This can be used with any Garmin hr straps, the normal and the swimming one
Ebipere Clark anything ANT+ . Doesn't have to be Garmin. There are loads on Amazon. Just Google ANT- heart rate 👌

Good video but doesn't support open water swimming

Show the GPS in action. Why the hell doesn't anyone who reviews this ugly watch show the GPS in action.
