Boy, skis or snowshoes? Good question! If I were on skis I'd no doubt wind up with them both impossibly criss-crossed among the trees. On snowshoes there'd probably be one or more sticking through the deck holding me in place. HA! Nice outing.
I was fit to be tied by the time I hit the road, walked up up a bit to cross then up the hill to home, the last section was tough, no doubt. A blast all the same.
@@downeastprimitiveskills7688 I took a pretty good digger on the snowshoes on the tidal marsh nearby the other day. Still don't quite know how that happened, ha!
@@Boreascorax I was just getting to be good with the amount of snow or lack of snow we had this year, not a lot out there actually. The conditions were pretty good for what snow we had, a crust and on top of that some fluff, Some years I can scoot all the way down the marsh and not get any grass stuck to the wax on my skis. Its cool to see and follow otter tracks in the snow, skiing is being like an otter, walk walk then slide on the slightest little slope.
kids grown and I'm out on my own, once and a while I get to drag one along. Grandson is just coming up on 2 years old so maybe we will get out in the future for some activities. We looked at tracks in the fresh snow this morning, one set was his bare feet. dog tracks too.

Skies was an interesting choice.. haven't seen that before. Seems like they kept you from post holing.
Great fire.
Thanks for the video brother
Cold winter fires are the best, things are very dry. more so than we think. At least our winters, I guess out your way winter means wet season,
Nice to see you out having fun! Kody here, if you remember me.
For sure, Florida now?
Hey Kody! LarryB here. We're meeting at the usual spot in Orland this coming Saturday if you guys are in the state. Hope you're well.
@@downeastprimitiveskills7688 I'm in Virginia now. A little closer! If we can get rid of this COVID stuff, I can travel again.
@@Boreascorax Oh, man! I wish I could come! My fiance and I would love it. I miss you all!
@@RcFlyer49 Hey man, we miss you too! If you guys get home on leave definitely reach out and we'll put something together! Stay safe!
Are you always by yourself on these adventures? No kids tagging along?
