  • Ride along with Deputy Demetrius Potts as he patrols areas of West Ashley, James Island and Johns Island in our latest episode of CCSO On Patrol, an inside look at what our deputies do to protect and serve in the Lowcountry.
Deputy Potts has been with the Sheriff’s Office for five years and has also been serving in the Army since 2019. Potts drives a military-themed patrol car which features the seals of all branches of the armed forces whose veterans and reservists are serving with the Sheriff’s Office
We’re proud to employ many veterans and welcome more to our ranks. www.CCSOjobs.com

This is why the Sheriff's Departments all over America are so respected. For one the Sheriff's & deputies are the only Constitutional law enforcement in America. Deputy Potts represents the brightest bravest and best in our country today. Thank you sir & may GOD continue to bless you, your family & The CCSO.

Geezzzz… that poor deputy has to deal with a disrespectful and nasty Miss Thang! I’m sure she’s a pillar of the community and a scholar in the English language.

That's a Gullah accent, prevalent in descendants of former African slaves on coastal rice plantations. It sounds pretty cool-----although she did not need to be so rude, to an officer who was just doing his job, and trying to protect her safety.

The disrespect is outrageous from those broads. I can't imagine treating anyone like that, much less a cop. Sorry the officer had to deal with that.

The state DMV needs to crack down on window tint shops that apply illegal tint to any vehicle. Ditto for any inspection facility that passes a vehicle with illegal tint.

That woman talking that way in front of her kids is absolutely reprehensible. And people wonder how kids these days act and talk the way they do? This woman is the perfect example of what is wrong with people. Always the victim.

NEVER put a suspect of any kind, even traffic violations in your car without ensuring they’re unarmed. That could become a fatal error.

this is why I could never be a cop......or a nurse....or anybody that deals with the public. You got people that has no idea about anything and thinks that blurting out whatever words helps them. in this situation no idea what the law is at all........no education of what the law is. I could never do it.....I use to think it would be interesting but I'd never be able to deal with a bunch of women screaming and cursing just crap for no reason other than being inconvenienced. On top of all that........on top of all that........you run high risk being a cop of being threw in jail from racial biased. Im not willing to give up the rest of my life for some clown high on dope that suddenly plays victim. It is safer down south where common sense is more prevalent.
