@wildwill1970 you live in a tree house? I live in Washington, there's a guy and to come on Washington known as the tree housemaster, I believe I forget what his actual name is, but he builds houses entries for people to live in, that is my dream home. Because I love birds, but I also love cats and the cats would love it as well to actually living in a tree. Thank you for the video. I played it because there was a stellar Jay in the pine tree outside my 5th story apartment window. He likes to store food amongst the pine needles. 😁
That's a great camera set up because Jays are very skiddish. We have them here in Washington state too and I can never get a good picture or video of them, even from inside my home.
My grandparents had a huge picture window in their living room, facing their beautiful backyard. My grandpa made baskets and put them on medal poles and they had so many birds that came to eat from the baskets.
After watching a variety of "Steller's Jay" videos this morning, I'm noticing it doesn't appear to matter what part of the Country you're in...all our Steller's Jays share one thing.....they're all apparently addicted to peanuts. Here in Arizona, I buy them in 80 pound yellow bags from the feed store. My birds go through that bag in about 6 months. Even the owner of the store says I spoil them.
National Geographic is not the publication of our WASP ancestors that showcased beautiful places and animals; it is garbage politicized woke propaganda, promoted by the usual suspects.
Love these birds
I grew up among the redwoods listening to the jays... so miss it. Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
What a gorgeous bird!
I love the stellar jays- I have seen their foibles, antics and matings
I Saw One Of These Beauties Outside A Few Weeks Ago
they must have all heard the call.
Wow..

I bought a Bird feeder for the backyard 2 days ago and I put some peanuts out today and a beautiful stellar jay stopped by 😍

That's a neat idea with the camera next to the peanuts to get a good video of them.

awesome. .out here in PA i attract blue jays with peanuts. they're never able to grab that many at one time though!
I live in Harrisburg PA I've never seen a Stella are they here?
Well that was interesting, swallow whole to carry more.
Francine our stellers jay swimming in the bathtub
Thanks for adding this! I enjoyed it....
@doomprophet I'm waiting till I lure in one of the eagles. Do eagles eat peanuts? I might have to lay a rotting deer carcass on the railing next.
Have you submitted your application to National Geographic?
