I used to love that game. You couldn't pay kids to play that game these days. My whole family jumped for joy when we finally turned the wizard into a cat and kicked him.
My favorites in King's Quest were 5 and 7. My least favorite was King's Quest 4. It was just far too much guess work and getting eaten by the sharks, caught by the cave troll, and trying to climb the whale tongue were all so frustrating that I didn't finish it for years.
One of the first games I ever played. I was so young that I could barely read and write. English was not my language so you can make a guess how far I got in this game. Actually surprisingly far.
1. "How can you do that?" is just a generic mesage it gives for not doing something the game recognizes and if the game doesn't recognize the command, then the command is wrong and you fail. 2. Most spell ingridents can't be eaten, but aside from the ones I've shown you, you can also eat the fishbone powder.
wow, this game used to freak me out as a kid, i remember coming home to play this game and the wizard still freaks me out to this day. And i used to play a lot of kings quest as well, 5 and 6 being my favorites in the series. I also liked 7. What were your favorite games and least favorite games in the kings quest series.
Why does it make you screw up the spell when it gives you the "How can you do that?" message? I mean, you didn't even do anything. Also as I recall, whenever I tried to eat one of the spell ingredients, it just said "Once you'd tasted it, you wouldn't want it."
I love how this guy does half a dozen flips down a 10 foot drop.

I love that "Diiiieeeerrroooyuuuuuurrrrr..." sound that plays when you fall!
0:55 he killed him because he picked up a fly... uh isn't he supposed to do that? His job is to clean after all...
Tripping over a cat while going down the stairs - clearly the funniest and yet most realistic death in a Sierra game ever.

"you'd eat more, but you are too busy dying" lol
If you ever find yourself in the vicinity of a wizard don't pick up a fly.
So THAT'S where those catboys come from!!!
As a kid, I could handle the wizard popping out and zapping you... but that spider just eating you whole (2:45) ... that freaked me out

Yes, I am aware. He just claims you look silly falling down the stairs. I don't think it's worth it to re-do this though.

KQIV was my favorite, VI was a close second, and III my third.
There's an alternate message if you get caught possessing stuff like "Cat Cookie" or "Storm Brew". Other than that same ZAP ZAP ZAP
Namely "You've discovered the secrets of 'The Sorcery of Old'. Never again will you disobey me, Gwydion!"
5:24 is totally erlkonig by Schubert

2:28 cat ears and tail lol that's just...
Great compilation from a great game - I had fun doing a Let's Play of KQ3
You forgot the Mandrake root powder death :)
Great video!
Yo the spider ate him head first
So many ways to die... damn you Ken Williams! Damn you!!
I was impatient to get this done. But... I might make a video response.
1:20 Hated that god damn cat
I forget, did the death music have that little funny jig or jingle at the end of it like in 1&2?
No not in this one.
6:40 lol!
Just what WERE those results too gruesome to discuss? Hmmmm...
Fuckin awesome!

Space Quests way to die were much more funnier.
