I find it rather rare that a dog is so curious and wants to be involved in human activity.
Mars has several abilities: He could be in Frisbee catching contests, a hunter-fetcher, and could gather firewood. Biting snowballs and licking the rainwater off your tent.
Biting the snow flying off the shovel...haha..

When camping in cold temperatures, your dogs also need warmth. Cut branch leaves, make it thick, next to you, so you all share body warmth. Secondly, get lots of wood cut up and feed your dogs first.

Inexperienced camper here…when you decided to set up your tent in that open area - instead of where you initially left your backpack under the trees - were you concerned with falling trees, where otherwise the trees might provide a natural barrier to the wind?
Yeah it doesn't make sense i would have take my shelter where he put his backpack much more shelter
The camp set where quite tall. afterall, it's a camping video not a survival

You’d almost wonder how wolves or sled dogs survive, LOL. If it’s an outdoor dog, which it appears to be, it will have a very heavy coat. A fur coat.

Getting out of my car during a snowstorm one day, I saw steam puffs coming from the top of a snowbank. It was the neighbour’s dog, a Siberian Husky, completely covered in snow. It was sleeping.
My neighbour said it begs to go outdoors in the coldest weather and catch up on its sleep outdoors. My double coated Australian Cattledog wasn’t that extreme but would go outside and roll in the snow and on ice. Its coat would thicken in the winter so much that its legs would slide apart on smooth floors.
20 years ago, I went to the Arctic and met Matty McNair and her dogs. The dogs were on drag lines out near the Iqaluit airport. Being outdoor dogs, they did just fine and were the picture of health and vitality, as evidenced by their werewolf like physiques (they were very friendly after I approached the alpha to introduce myself). There were even pups with the pack, which appeared to be just a few months old.
The lesson here is that many longer haired dog breeds do just fine in the cold as long as they’re fed and watered. This is their nature more than a sleeping bag or clothes. LOL.

The dog ate from a bowl, and the tent (hot tent) had a wood-burning stove. The dog had a great time and Sad observation skills you have.
