Apologies for how hoarse I sound in the narration. Unfortunately I think it’s going to get worse. Seems to happen every time I go back to SoCal and then improves when I was in a more tropical climate. Maybe that’s a sign…
I really enjoy watching your adventures, and I love Jen's angelic laughter! Also sitting here in the midwest with 9 inches of snow on the ground is putting a clamp on my running.
"I haven't crammed schoolwork that hard since..." That's Chappelle-level. Well played. And it's just kind of slipped in unobtrusively between the usual helicopter crashes and burning ships of a typical Christmas vacay.
Thanks! We’re well south of all the craziness for the moment though our area went through multiple big fires last summer. It’s kind of the inescapable reality out here whenever we go through a dry period and the Santa Ana winds kick up
Glad to see you back. I've been waiting expectantly. Your voice sounds hoarse in the early narration which you probably added later. If you have some kind of upper respiratory bug I hope you are over it soon. Looking forward to the actual diving videos.
Yea, anything where I'm talking but not visible on camera was added today. It's unfortunately been an ongoing issue since I've been back in SoCal. Drove me nuts during the Bonaire videos. Seems like whatever the long term sinus issue I had dogging my on the ADT has gotten worse since I'm back.
@@FirstChurchofTheMasochistHikes Too bad. I hope that you are getting appropriate medical attention, e.g. antibiotics, etc., and maybe seeing an ear, nose, and throat specialist. Good luck. You want to be right before you head out again after the Sierra Club class.
Epic is right! 3 flights, longest at 17 hours, 3 days of time to get there....... Enjoy, Enjoy. Looking forward to this series. Do you get a day back on the return trip?
I have a good impression of the place but sadly we were stuck in Jakarta coming back instead of there. Also Jen sadly didn't understand any references to the government there caning misbehaving americans despite the fact it's even in a wierd al song.
Most of the fire activity you see on the news is north of us. The rental we're in for a few months hasn't been anywhere close to threatened yet. Also the plus side of living out of our vehicles is we're all but immune to any sort of property threat due to fire or flooding.
Worst flight I ever endured... 25 hours: Angeles City, PI (AFB) to Diego Garcia, BIOT. DoD obviously, We blew a main tire on landing with the C-141 and got an extra day to dodge Coconut Crabs, it was mating/breeding season. TERRIFYING! Don't go out at night type of terrifying.
So if someone near you in public is using the speaker on their cell phone, I take that as an invite to join the conversation. Really pisses people off, but gets their damn attention on the stupidity of what they're doing.
Sadly she left leaving behind a box of food trash before we found out if the guy who was upset at her friend for giving a massage to some other guy had given said massage as a work or recreational activity. On the plus side I did feel a bit dumber for having had to listen to the whole exchange though
@@FirstChurchofTheMasochistHikes At that point you should have turned into Dr. Phil and started giving her advice. She was obviously asking for it with her speaker phone on.
I actually thought it was neat effect echoing across the city. Though I commented that it had to be annoying if you lived in an apartment right across the street

Thanks you two , it's good to have a girl that thinks even the silliest things are funny..
Oh! Beer and unfortunate stories! Sounds great!

Nice travelvideo ! Great to see you again in 2025 , may you have a great year . Waiting for the next one in anticipation.
Glad to see the beginning of your Christmas diving vacation! Can't wait to see the rest!

Thanks, wow it’s interesting. ✌🏻👊🏼
My wife is from Singapore and we have made that trip, it's a killer. I'm looking forward to more of your diving adventures. Thanks for sharing.
Happy New Year! Thank you for taking everyone on another cool trip 🥳
Thanks! And happy new year to you
Love the video, and excited to see what comes next.
Glad to see this video. I have been thinking about you and Jen with all the fires going on in LA. Stay safe and know that you are in my prayers.

Wow that was its own adventure. U got a hike n at the end💪
Missed Y'all.. glad ya back. You done got Blondie going. 😂

Looking forward to the videos but hoping you are away from the fires. Stay safe!

"every time we're here" says the guy who seems barely fatigued by the trans-Pacific flight that nearly did me in when I was twenty.

Kind of. But we also had a 28 hour layover in Jakarta so it was it's own epic slog. Quite happy to be done with the long flights for a bit
Singapore is one of my favorite cities in the world. Might be worth a day layover sometime.
I have a good impression of the place but sadly we were stuck in Jakarta coming back instead of there. Also Jen sadly didn't understand any references to the government there caning misbehaving americans despite the fact it's even in a wierd al song.
Yikes 17 hours sitting is not what hikers usually do 😁Have a great time
Are you guys being effected by the wildfires out there hope all is well
We're pretty far south of the fires at least so far. Though the power may be cut again pretty shortly due to more wind on it's way
Stay safe hope it stays north
Hey Y'all, nice video, appreciate the Taters giggles! In my opinion whoever said getting there is half the fun may have been a masochist. Just saying.
Hope your homes are safe from the fires

Bonaire's a bit easier huh? This is an adventure though
Bonaire was easy ish travel and just a mellow fun all around. But Raja was epic
December 22th in Jakarta 😂

Ha! I've seen pictures of those things. I've always found crabs more disturbing than spiders so I can only imagine what that was like
I made that trip to Diego Garcia in 1983 to join my ship. There were no blowout tires but a malfunctioning engine; thank you, Air Force.
Layovers are hard enough without getting crabs.

Sarong for now...

the like is not for the annoying wailing near the end
