I have the danners. I like them cause I have a wide foot. And the other just fit to tight. I have the black Tobacco and the brown ones. Love the boots. Thanks for sharing brother. P
Right on! I'm going to buy the Black Christy Danners for the summer. Honestly superior comfort and price compared to the heavily overhyped red wing moc toe. IMO, resptfully 🤠
Check out the red wings 1907 👌🏾 or the Whites Perry’s. I personally like thorogood moc toe boots. Usually one foot is bigger than the other. I personally would try them somewhere they sell them to make sure you have the right size.
Its funny you mention the 1907, I was at the Red Wing store in Philly and was seconds away from buying them.. Storm welt, and the leather changes color when you put pressure on it.. Yeah, that's the only issue I had with the first pair of Danners, but they sent me a new pair out (before I sent my old pair back), gave me a pair of socks and 2 laces for my trouble. IMO danner gives you a slightly more comfortable boot, comparable leather, at over $100 less... Although Red Wing mocs have a much better variety of leathers, I find danner mocs are a better value... doing a couple Chippewa boot reviews this week!
Danners are nice I have the moc’s. Comfortable boot. But if you are getting into boots, look into custom boots. Nicks, JK boots, whites and wesco. All are American made except whites China owns it now. Nothing compares to custom boots but they are not cheap. Well worth the price. I’m in the trades and I have a pair of JK boots and I will never wear a non custom to work and I’m looking to get a non work pair from nicks(they have more styles)
Nice, yeah I've heard of all of those brands... typically in the $600 range which is a little bit out of my price range at the moment. However, there are a TON of Indonesian bookmakers that do awesome MTO boots for as cheap as $250 for a semi-bespoke boot. I have a lace to toe boot coming from Renav Goods Co for $275. Junkard, Onderhoud, Benzein, and flame panda (china) are all amazing brands (1 to 2 guy operations) that make insanely high quality boots for dirt cheap. Almost a cheat code in life.
