I remember my dad rebuilding the injection pump in a bowl of petrol in the late 70’s.
Fitted it, started on the first turn.

A true Ford Cortina killer back in the day and that was rare.Troubles and fuel consumption with the PI plagued them as did issues with spline lock up on the rear axle.Goeorgous looking cars that would turn heads still today.
