I just picked out one of these bad boys from Designer Home Comfort in Roswell in Latte with the Teak wood base. Delivery in 3 weeks. Really looking forward to filling out the man cave with this chair.
I have just purchased a small Consul recliner and I can't get it to go quite as "flat" - any ideas about what I may be doing wrong? I did learn how to release the footrest from this video, so that was very helpful.
Hi, make sure you are pulling the headrest while reclined back. If you pull it and recline upwards in the same motion it may not work correctly. I'm glad we could help! Let me know if that tip doesn't work.
@slrecliners Sizing question (which I understand is somewhat subjective) I’m 6ft tall and thin- I sat in a large and it was comfortable, but definitely significantly larger than I need. I was thinking the medium would probably be the way to go, but I was curious if there is a commonly accepted maximum user height for the small to retain the correct lumbar support/relief?
If you are 6' I would not go with a small under any circumstances. A medium would be the smallest you could go. I would recommend a Medium Recliner, like the admiral, that has an adjustable headrest. The Consul medium may be too low for your neck support.
A good question! I prefer the Mayfair, but that does not mean that the Mayfair is best for everyone. The Consul provides a firmer sit with less contouring to the back and seat. The Mayfair has some of our best lumbar support while maintaining a plusher feel. If I were buying a chair for a friend who had never sat in a Stressless, I would buy them a Mayfair (it seems to be a crowd pleaser). The best would be to sit and compare them both for your comfort preferences! - Mike
@@SLRecliners thanks helpfull answer. And what about size, its depend on height and weight of the person, or for example a mid size man 5.80 tall, 175lb would if want be more confortable for sleep and rest is better L size than M.
@@scualos You may find yourself more comfortable in a medium. If you know you prefer more space, then go with a large. But if I was to size off of that information, I would go with a medium.
The best demo video , thank you .
