Test them to see how easy they straighten out, I doubt they'll be very strong at that price.

I haven't had a problem with hooks from Lidl in the past although I will need to give these a test to see.

Barbed hooks are banned in most clubs and 99% of commercial day ticket waters across the country so unless you are river fishing or a poacher they are worthless and would only encourage people to break rules !!!!!!

Good point. That is why I recommend the pack that has the barbless hooks. The barbed hooks do still have their place. For example, barbed hooks can be used for drop shoting for perch on the canal. Also sea fishing etc. they still have their place outside of commercial fisheries.
