Goddamn the Danganronpa aesthetic will never get old it always makes me feel hyped, also I really like that the VA’s are being credited in a main trailer that’s pretty neat
That's what Japanese trailers do with VA credits but it's nice to see the English one do the same
Ikr? I was like - these names are not Japanese at all... who are these voice actors... then I realized it was the ENGLISH voice actors getting their names (most I have never seen before) out there! It's nice to see them recognized for their craft.
It's a thing since voice acting has been implemented into visual novels, old PV's from the 2000s had it already. It was about time the western audiences started doing it too

Danganronpa team as in the people who produced Danganronpa.
If this game is about detectives, Kyoko and Shuichi would be enthralled by it. And maybe help the MC about detective work as well.
If anything the best we’ll get are just cameos

Kyoko actually has a whole official light novel that was the same premise as this games story.
@@Nocturne61 Danganronpa actually exists as a game in AI: The Somnium Files, and Aiba is very similar to Kyoko, right down to having the same VA.

As a Danganronpa fan I love they keep their specific style and the voice acting slays as always. Can wait to buy that game

After watching the game grumps play the first few games, I’m very tempted to buy this.

@@Nocturne61 Technically its not a retcon, if an artist at DC drew a comic panel where Batman is holding a Spider-man comic that doesn't mean the events of that story don't matter.

I also think is a rpg like game and base on that:
Our protagonist can hit from physical and spiritual ways,
The animal guy may focus on physycal damage
The spitist girl may focus on spiritual damage
The disguise boy may focus on a bard *maybe*
The time girl may by a support
And the old man photographer may focus on tank
It's just a guest
I love how it has that danganronpa vibe while being a different game, great move. So far so good!
Thanks for letting us all have a peak at our cast of main characters and their abilities! Looks like we have our new breed of Ultimates in this game! ...Also, am I the only one who was expecting to hear Yuma, the protagonist, shout "I will cut down your words!" or am I not alone?

The fact they got Lucien Dodge, Lauren Landa and Xanthe Huynh in this means this will be a fantastic game.
And the narrator at the start was ProZD.
Don't forget Khoi Dao.
Fubuki Clockford who is the same VA as Haru from P5 already has me excited!
And Marianne from Fire Emblem Three Houses and Chichae from Monster Hunter Rise.
Also Agnea from Octopath Traveler II.
Since Haru is best girl in P5, is it possible Fubuki will be best girl too? And she was also the voice of Miwako in 13 Sentinels.
"Mysteries are the greatest threat to humanity" sounds like something Professor Layton screams during a fistfight.
It’s interesting to see these various types of detectives.

I’m so excited for this game! I was never expecting a physical edition, yet alone such an amazing special edition! I have my pre-order in for that already. And I cannot wait to start playing when it comes in!

The evolution of Danganronpa is looking very bright indeed. I can’t wait for this!
I think I can make some guesses on some of these abilities's uses.
Animal Investigation; Usually this implies communication with animals.
This can allow you to gain more info from sources that go overlooked.
Disguise; Does it need to be explained how disguises can help a Detective? Becoming one of the suspects allies can allow you to weasel out some important info to the case.
Spiritism; This one illudes me. The best guess I have is being able to ask spirits of the dead to help you since they see things others can't.
Kind of a ghost version of the Animal Investigation.
Time Leap; Normally when Time is in the equation, it means that the user is hopping back in time, but tbh that would be an OP problem solver.
More likely, It could allow one to know the exact time of the incident.
Thoughtography;
At first I thought this is like Photographic memory, but I also can't ignore mind reading.
Either case, both are useful for solving a mystery.
For a while thought it was an rpg, but definitely would love to see more loving what is shown so far
Kodaka, Rui Komatsuzaki and that absolutely sounds like a Masafumi Takada soundtrack.

I like how they dropped this trailer right after the Pokémon Presents as if to silently point out that this is why the rumored Mystery Dungeon game isn't happening right now.

You could've had medical forensics, financial forensics, toxicologists, cyber forensics, criminal psychologists, or sociolinguists, but they had to go full occult

I think I get it now, the protagonist can copy the other's powers and since he has Shinigami who's a death god he can keep their powers even after they die.
I really hope we don't have another Danganronpa scenario where more than half the cast get killed off halfway through.

@@mangajudge9471 1 or 2 deaths near the end is something I could handle.
Judging by the vast amount of detectives in this game, some of them may not make it to the end of the game on your side.
By either getting murdered, or they commit crime themselves. (Which of course means they are now arrested)
I'm curious to see what our MC is in store for.
