I got so hyped when I saw that Sungwon Cho (ProZD) was voicing a character 😭
I watched his and Jay’s entire Danganronpa V3 play through and I legit cried at Sung Won’s Kaede voice. He deserves this!

“The greater the detective, the more often they encounter death”
This makes me think a detective or two might die in each case and we’ll be introduced to new ones? In the beginning scene with only see 5-6 detectives in the train and we know of at least 10 detectives. They also kept that last detective hidden (player one) REALLY WELL. Something tells me there might be even more detectives with forensic fortes? This is just me speculating but it would be cool if my theory was accurate 😭
It might just be that detectives, more often than not, take on murder cases, so they "encounter death" that way
Interestingly enough, they left out one of the detectives in the English trailer. In the Japanese trailer they show another one after Vivia Twilight named Yacco Philio. Instead of showing his forte (which is hidden) he's simply called an 'U̶l̶t̶i̶m̶a̶t̶e̶ Detective'. I wonder what that means...
@@AJGress Ok. There's no way that wasn't on purpose. They're really playing up the Danganronpa tropes so they can completely flip them on their heads

Three things I took from this:
1. So Vivia already has a death flag from the start… That’s not good.
2. I’m really suspicious of Number One, since it’s odd that he wasn’t revealed at all until now.
3. Something interesting I noticed: At 1:44, Yuma gets a headache right as a bunch of ghosts that have an awfully big resemblance to Shinigami’s ghost form appear and surround him, and the same filter that covers Vivia and Yuma when the former uses his Forensic Forte covers the screen. My theory is that Yuma’s Forensic Forte was already unlocked before he woke up in the train station and is the ability to see the ghosts of people whose deaths remain unsolved, which will also lead to the reveal that Shinigami is actually one of these ghosts and formed a contract with Yuma so he can finally solve the mystery behind her death and she can move on.
This game continues to look cooler and cooler! It’s funny, I got into Danganronpa this year and I believe the previews of this game are partially why. So looking forward to this!
Bonus points if Number One yells: YOU GET TO MAKE A COMIC BOOK AFTER THIS at some point

Wow...I did not recognize Aleks Le's voice at all. Damn, what range.
He also voices Caiman in Dorohedoro and Anos in The Misfit of Demon King Academy, so it's not that surprising.

They left out one of the detectives in the English trailer. In the Japanese trailer they show another detective after Vivia Twilight named Yacco Philio. His forte is hidden, and he's simply called a 'u̶l̶t̶i̶m̶a̶t̶e̶' detective.
Yakou Furio.
Apparently he was cut from this trailer because he has a cigarette.
(However, that was just one Twitter post I read…)
Let me just tell you, Nintendo has put out WAY worse than a cigarette.

Also, if he was cut from this Nintendo trailer for having a cigarette (in a 17+ game) then why did they leave him in the Japanese one? That one was also on Nintendo's official page, right?

@@MeltingRougeSoul13 Spike has actually made quite a few 3D games outside of this and UDG as far as I’m aware. Regardless, I don’t think that the game being 3D necessarily means that it may end up sharing the same issues as UDG (storywise at least).

Everyone's comparing this to Danganronpa, and while I do agree with that, it also seems similar to Bungou Stray Dogs, with detectives with supernatural powers, as well as a couple of the same voice actors.
A Demo for this game please! Looks good but I need to play a demo and see if I buy it or not.

More Forte Speculation. Let's go.
Postcognition; This is the one we know most about. Being able to see the scene of the crime before the crime was even committed. This allows one to essentially play spot the difference.
Life Detection; This is prolly best used the moment a crime is committed; used to spot survivors, people who could be eye witnesses to the act.
Audial Aptitude; This is fascinating. Being so attuned with sound that you can hear the heartbeats of others. Lets you know if they are lying or not.
Spectral Projection; Being able to essentially have an "out of body experience" on command, allowing you to see situations unfold without being at the scene.

Looks like they made the transition away from Danganronpa really well. I can't way to try this game out. I was so vexed that Danganronpa 3 was the last game I didn't want to play it yet. Now I can finish that series and jump into this one. :)
