More fun is IF u get necromancy on a non necro hero :) have happend to me few times "not very often" not sure if its fixed now after factory patches, but its fun time when i had it :D

but normal rmg maps, u will need to find all the parts for the cloak, so not the easiest thing to do "but not impossible" but y its way too OP same for the horn of the abyss

Grinding stats on such templates is pretty much everything, because there is so much impact on damage through them.
If your attack rating is higher than enemy's defense rating you get +5% modifier per each point which is just crazy strong. Six points equals expert Offense and you can stack it up to 10 times (maximum modifier is +300% = 60 points of diffrence)
Opponent had a solid army too but lack of stats made his units hit like a wet noodle and topple over to anything from the opponent. 600 DK's with double damage proc deal 9k damage while 2k liches deal 60k damage.
I actually made a mod that modifies the Cloak in order to raise Wights at expert necro instead of liches and now it s a reasonable artifact..
But is it as fun? Cool idea tho
Believe that's how cloak should work normally. Wraiths are top tier designs but their power is so subpar. If it's too weak maybe it should also raise upgraded creatures at 100% not 2/3.
Also can you share how did you modded it and if it works with Hota?
For example in VCMI I made another mod that adds 20% physical damage resistance to all ethereal units. You can easily mod your game too.
I used VCMI the definitive open source platform for Heroes3. Actually in VCMI is there a Hota porting and you can abilitate multiple mods together easily (I also like Tides of War mod) but Factory porting is still in progress
I have no ability for mods. I would have modded it to randomize the unit raised from lvl 1-5 at expert. 1-3 at advanced. 1-2 at basic.

Damn witch huts having the option to not take the skill should’ve been in the base game. I just play casually and I always have a throw away hero check them for this very reason

Cloak of the BALANCED King.
CoTUK is definitely waaayyy OP for almost any duel setting. It's even barely fair and balanced for 1P or standard, traditional, casual multiplayer, LOL! 😁 Awesome artifact, but obviously ridiculous. Reminds me of Necromancy in H4... they went way, way, waaayyy too far with vampire HP and stuff, lol.
In pre patched H5 Necromancy was ridiculous aswell, as you get Skeleton Archers after every battle. They nerfed it with Dark Energy points.

This why Rise of the Necromancer campaign is one of best chapter in base game. Having Armor of the Damned and Lich farming since start, you could built Unstoppable force xd.
