Locally our malls are smaller. Though malls are not as popular as they were a decade ago, and there have been more incidents of crime going on. So, it’s safer just to shop online. In Minneapolis, Minnesota we have the huge Mall of America that has 520 shops, a theme park with rollercoaster, a sea aquarium, and 40 million people visit the mall each year. The mall was completed in 1992, just one year after Russia dropped its Iron Curtain and became a democratic Federation. The second largest mall in the U.S. is the King of Prussia located in Philadelphia. But Canada opened up an even bigger mall, I think it’s in Montreal or Ontario , I’m not sure, but this mall has 820 shops! 😅

@@ytr8989 Actually, the whole Iron Curtain conception was invented and implemented by western establishment to target your western society. People in the USSR were quite acquainted to western life. We had american and european movies in our local cinemas, perfectly translated and dubbed by best soviet artists. We had books from all around the world. We even made movies together with western companies. We have hosted international festivals and events. All the information about real life in the Soviet Union ( which, i must admit, was far from perfect but definitely not so ugly as you accustomed to think) was thoroughly filtered and perverted by your establishment just to make you hate soviets, to make you manageable, to make you obedient. Not surprising, these practices are implementing nowadays towards Russia. Sorry if my words disturb you. No hard feelings, cheers from Siberia!

International Women's Day (March 8) is a holiday celebrated annually on March 8 in a number of countries and countries around the world.
It appeared as a day of solidarity of women in the struggle for women's rights and emancipation. In 1945, the Charter of the United Nations became the first international document that established the principle of equality between men and women. Since March 1975, International Women's Day has been celebrated by UN member States[1].
International Women's Day was preceded by Women's Day, organized by the Socialists of the United States. On February 28, 1909, demonstrations "for equal voting rights" took place under the auspices of the Socialist Party of America and Socialist Communities throughout the United States. The decision to hold demonstrations was made at the national congress of the Socialist Party of America, held from May 10 to 17, 1908 in Chicago. February 28 was declared "Women's Suffrage Day".
Teresa Malkiel, Chairman of the Women's National Committee of the Socialist Party of America
Later, on December 28, 1909, the New York Call newspaper published an article "Woman's Day" by the chairman of the Women's National Committee of the Socialist Party of America, Teresa Malkiel, where the last Sunday of February is now declared Women's Day

In UK they don’t celebrate it but my family always do. My dad (when he was alive) would say how important women around the world are, we always recognise this day. In our local Mall there are many, many empty stores. - tougher here than I. Russia. Shops in uK on a Sunday are only 10am-4pm and usually in the week 9am or 10am till 6pm. I so want to come to Russia - I’m hopefully getting my passport soon and I hope all these restrictions stop soon and we can all come together.

In the U.S. it’s not a national holiday. I’ve never even heard of it until I heard about it here on UA-cam. Americans only have Valentines Day and Mother’s Day. Although they recently started grandma’s day too. I actually did some research, and in 1994 Maxine Waters introduced a bill to Congress declaring IWD be celebrated as a national holiday on March 8 every year. However, Congress ignored the bill and no further action had been taken since.

It's sad how indoor shopping malls in America are dying out and never have this foot traffic anymore. All the ones I've been to in Dallas are ghost towns except the crossroads mall in Plano. Anyways this place has a ton of high end clothing stores, restaurants, pharmacy, pet stores, and a gigantic grocery store. It was quite a sight to see. One big thing you will notice if you ever go to this mall is that there are zero unruly teens effing around and causing trouble or making shopping a nightmare. That's not tolerated like it is down in Plano Texas.

Consumers seem to prefer a broader selection of brands over a single brand. Ditto in Paris where I was in late 2023 -- the free-standing L'Occitane stores were empty whereas "CityPharma" and "La Pharmacie du Commerce" were packed with shoppers until 8:30 pm (20:30) when it closed. The most popular song in the USSR about three wives:
If I were a sultan, I would have three wives
And triple beauty would be surrounded
But on the other hand, in such matters
So many troubles and worries, oh, save Allah!
It’s not bad to have three wives
But very bad on the other side
Zulfiya my robe strokes at the board
Sews Guli, and Fatma stuples socks
Three wives Beauty that don't say
But on the other hand, the mother -in -law is also three.
It’s not bad to have three wives
But very bad on the other side
Every service will be allowed to be allowed to me
Total three hundred grams is something!
But when I come home on the eyebrows
I have a scandal with every wife!
It’s not bad to have three wives
But very bad on the other side
How to be we need to clarify the clarity of clarity here
How many wives are just right? Three or one?
To the question of this, there is a simple answer
If I were a sultan, it would be idle!
Not bad at all without a wife
Much better from any side. (2 times)
