I am a Korean viewer. The reason why I drew a line on my hand with a pen at the end is because in Oriental medicine, you can get a measure of your health by removing the wrinkles in your hand. This is a scene where the wife mistakenly thought that her life was short because the line in her hand was short, so her husband used a pen to lengthen the wrinkles in her hand called the line of life while her wife was sleeping, giving the meaning of living a long life.
Now thats what we need more of
In Western culture we know it as Quiromancy you can see your life line, the amount of marriages, children an other stuff and has been passing generations as 'old wife's tales'
Her auntie and his mother are my favourites characters aside main duo from the very beginning! Such a great people!

I think when she said she didn't want to be alone and wanted him to be by her side she was also referring to the miscarriage. I believe she got rid of the nursery room because it was too painful to have the empty room with the baby's stuff there, but she still needed him to be there for her, so they could face it together. However, he took it as her wanting to just move on and maybe he thought she wasn't going to share her pain with him, but he needed to have the nursery room there. I can understand both sides and it's sad that the each kept their feeling for themselves without supporting each other after loosing their baby.
Awful!! The lack of communication amazes me every time. Is the great lesión of this one.
In Oriental medicine, there is a part where palmistry can be used to determine the length of a person's lifespan, a measure of health, luck in wealth, and a person's temperament. To put it simply, because her wife's palmistry was short, she thought she would not live long, so her husband drew a palmistry on her hand to give her hope that her wife would definitely live long.
My favourite part is how you keep on saying that this should be a funny show and not this angst galore. As if you're flabbergasted by the audacity of this show to make you feel things 😂
I think the writers called this show queen of tears because they’re planning to make us cry our eyes out😢 by the end of it we are going to become the queen of tears. Honestly I can’t see a way for them to save hae in and probably she will die which is totally unfair because her life was full of nothing but misery. I just don’t want her to find out hyunwoo actually was happy about her dying at the beginning because that’ll break her heart to a million pieces 😭😭
If she dies we bring her back
The Good Bad Mother is a great drama as well, hope you check it out when you've time 👍
I totally understand how Hae In deals with things given her relationship with her mother (primarily). All her life she always has to put up a front. That's not easy for her to undo. And Hyun Woo who grew up with a very expressive family and is used to taking things at face value doesn't really know how to deal with Hae In's facade. This is why their communication is plain shit.
I'm okay with Hyun-woo's family being the stereotypical chaotic family trope. I'm really just annoyed with the main antagonist/love triangle wannabe dude. I guess he's serving his purpose but his face is so slappable. The love triangle aspect isn't exactly as bad as other dramas tho because at least Hae In actually pushes him away.
We closed the door on love triangle, no?
Also..THEY CAN BE WORSE IN OTHER SHOWS?
Except the seriousness of the episode in the scene where the sister is confronting hae in to leave the brother.... It's funny in so many levels 😂😂😂😂.... Like the male lead enter's the restaurant without any bag in the hand and then it appears magically in the next scene... The creators really messed up the continuity there🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

She wasnt checking out his arms😭 She noticed that to put the umbrella over her, Hyunwoo was letting himself get wet from the rain. I have noticed that female viewers tend to understand the small details more haha, I guess bc most romance dramas are written by women and are tailored towards women. It’s interesting to see the difference between male and female viewers
I have no idea whats going on half the time when we watch romance but its a good time🤣

If you want to watch some light romcom without 3rd wheel I highly recommend Hometown Cha Cha Cha, What's wrong with secretary Kim, Descendants of the sun (great role as 2nd lead by Kim JI Won (Hea in)), Business proposal, crash landing on you, Also enjoyed King The Land but some people don't like it much.

Maybe king the land is kinda hated by some people but it's most healthy relationship I've seen in a while. Literally 2 walking green flags

Since I am Korean, let me tell you a little tip for calling Korean people's names.
When you call the same aged friends or people younger than you, you put -ya or -ah. When the name ends with a vowel we put -ya and if the name ends with a consonant you put -ah.
So for an example, 'Hyun-Woo ya' or 'Hae-In ah'. So when I heard you say 'Hae-In ah', I thought you said 'Hyena'. lol
But remember that this must be only used when you call your friends or younger people.
We have to use honorific form when calling strangers(younger or not), elders, and people older than you. So you can't put -ya or -ah when you are calling a teacher or some new people you just met. lol
The first word in their full name is their honorific? Or?
@@WarhogTV Nope, if you want to call people by their whole name, you have to use -nim at the end.
@@WarhogTV But actually that is not all. lol -nim can be only used when you are calling someone such as you have business relationship with.
If you want to call elderly, you have to say something like Baek Hyun-ja Woo-ja nim(or ssi). That's the highest honorific expression. lol

I cried my eyes off in this episode. How Haein must have felt all those years without real love from her family and no compassion. She always had to play the strong one and had no one to lean on. Then the miscarriage and now her illness. Just breaks my heart. Ji Won just slayed this role. 👏

Kdramas with no love triangle are run on , w two worlds , tale of the nine taled and probably kill me heal me bc the the love triangle is between him and himself iconic one 😂

Did the episodes mentioned the miscarriage??? it hasn't been revealed right or I zoned out? 😅
but I'm thinking if it wasn't miscarriage, like what if their baby didn't really die and it was actually the one Dahye and Sung cheol's (Hae ins bro) raising. Like they switch it with a dead one lol I watch too many dramas. Also, I'm thinking that the grandfathers girlfriend get/adopted Eun seong (also thinking he was Seul Hee's son) & Da hye, Grace from the orphanage to plot a revenge to the Queens, there's more behind of this.

BaekHong couple just lack affection and has no communication so Hyun woo getting that assurance through Hae In's interview that she actually wanted him to be by her side is the key point since he thought she doesn't love/need him anymore. And at Hae in's POV Hyunwoo needs more time that's why she's so aloof. Because they have their own POV's and kept assuming things. If they just step inside each others 'kept' line and be a lil bit more expressive, it would be better. That lil talk in Ep 5 needs an episode with longer version.
But Ep 5 really shows their feelings for each other. Also, their microexpressions tho! Hand down to top actors 👏😌

I honestly think that Eun seong doesn't like Hae in like romantically, he's just using her therefore there's no love triangle for me. Bro is a psycho and he's smart, he knows how to use people to his advantage. All Hae in's fam are just dumb except her aunt Geum ja. I'm waiting for a plot twist where Hae in's grandfather knows that their plotting something behind their back or else they're just really rich but dumb and it would be a pity lol.
So far I'm enjoying the drama and its okay to me if Hae in di*d or be alive at the end. As long as writer-nim tied the story's ending good if she decided to kll the character
But since there's one additional episode (17 Eps now) that was added I'm expecting for it to have a happy ending.

I don't think she was mega cold with him back then. But they'd just lost a baby and she was putting on a front and trying to be strong but instead of being there for her after she'd just miscarried he left and they'd been cold to each other since.
She turned her back on him though, no?
