My child is an incoming freshman...... Business major.... the tip about getting them a bike was clutch!!! The video was the most helpful as far a setup, structure, and amenities go.... (even the dislikes). Really helped us plan for the upcoming school year. Was trying to figure out if the bathroom is shared by 2 or 4 people.... that is the only unanswered question I have based on all the videos I viewed. Other than that, thanks for sharing this video.
Graduated in 07, and was at Whitehurst all 4 years, starting in 03. Literally nothing has changed. Wow. I know they updated the first floor in 2006 and revamped the common room but I thought they would've updated the rooms by now. Guess not. This was a nostalgia trip. Also, I had heat. But I was on the first floor so maybe that was the only floor that did.

Hey Ryan, Im an up and comming freshman at ODU. Any tips you have for me wether thats Dorm prep or Time Management? And how's the Greek/Party life like at ODU?
I never really got involved with the greek life but but the parties are pretty fun. I would recommend you get a bike because the campus is huge. I'd also recommend you get involved in as many clubs as you can. You meet a lot of like minded people that way and it really shrinks the school down. And build a good report with your Advisor. That one is important lol
I will be living in whitehurst. Is there a way to lock your room from the bathroom or does the other suit have access to your suit? (Through the bathroom)
it's nice! it's pretty busy because it's right next to the water and everyone loves to chill there plus the dorm houses over 500 people lol other than that, there is a big field behind Whitehurst where a lot of people from Powhatan and Whitehurst will play Frisbee and and other sports at. right across the street are houses students rent out so sometimes they'll throw parties. The only negative sometimes is the wind because how close we are to the water. But overall, I loved it

They are both going to have the same size floor plans but B Tower definitely has a better view of the river.

how high do the beds rise? should I get bed risers?
MAKENZIE BLACKWELL It gets pretty high on it's own. I don't remember the exact height but it's almost 4ft.

Are microwaves allowed in the dorm rooms, specifically in Gresham?
I know they aren't allowed in Whitehurst but they did have community microwaves. But I'd email Housing at housing@odu.edu to find out for sure.

It's on the main campus but it's ALL the way on the edge. To Strome Business Building, it's about a 15 minute walk

washers, dryers, kitchen with a stove and microwave, study rooms, and a cafeteria on the first floor.
