- Turkey's President Tayyip Erdogan joined thousands of worshippers at Hagia Sophia on Friday for the first prayers in 86 years, after declaring the monument, revered by Christians and Muslims for almost 1,500 years, a mosque once again.
Erdogan and his top ministers, wearing white face masks as a precaution against COVID-19, knelt on blue carpets at the start of a ceremony which marks the return of Muslim worship to the ancient structure.
Officials have said the Christian frescoes and glittering mosaics adorning the cavernous dome and central hall will be concealed during Muslim prayer times, but remain on display for the rest of the time.
An imam began the formal prayer service at 1:45 pm (1045 GMT) after Erdogan read out a Koranic recitation and the call to prayer rang out from the mosque's minarets.

Sorry brother but this decision is extremely wrong. As a mulsim I am very against this decision. This is against the teachings of Islam or the precedents of Abu Bakar rza. There is no need for such a political decision. Muslims can build a mosque anywhere, why should we hurt the sensitivities of our christian brothers. There is no basis in islam for this sort of agreessivness. This decision is solely erdogan trying to make a legacy for himself in the history books and to hold on to power in the country. I am very ashamed of him and I am sure lots of Turks bros are against this decision as well!

The act of converting from a museum into a mosque is a change. The Greek iconography adorning its walls will be once again be disrespected, shamefully covered up or hidden in shame.
Erdogan is a dictator in sheep's clothing and is taking the country back to the Middle ages. He will bring back the Fes (tarboosh) next, then reintroduce Ottoman script and abolish the Latin script.
Imagine if a Christian did this to a building or structure of religious significance to Islam?

First, no one knows for sure what age Aisyah was when she married Prophet Muhammad PBUH. But indeed she was under 20 years old.
Second, is it wise to use present logic then judge something in the past? And btw all around the world back then practiced it.

Fourth, you need to know what role Aisyah was. She wasnt only a "Wife" for Prophet Muhammad SAW.
In Islam, there are two masters of Hadith (Words and wise act from Prophet Muhammad). It's Abu Bakr (Best Friend of Prophet Muhammad and Father of Aisyah), and Aisyah.
Abu Bakr, is master of hadith of what Prophet Muhammad PBUH did when he's not in the house, and Aisyah is master of hadith of what Prophet Muhammad PBUH did inside the house. So when Prophet Muhammad PBUH dead, both of them teach the hadith to the peoples.
If Prophet Muhammad PBUH married with a woman who had a same age like him, when Prophet dead, his wife will also in count of days before dead came to her. And Hadith for household will disappear forever.
And so Aisyah, after dead of Prophet, she begun to teach peoples with his young age (around 30 years old). And now Muslim in debt for Aisyah for what she did, for told us about different scenario of household and what Prophet did when faced those glitch.
