Like looking at all the buildings and stuff along the way. It's fun traveling with you it's not boring. It feels like I'm there. I love it say hi to Sadie take care stay safe and God bless you
I am only speaking g for myself but I love that you are driving through towns and we can see them. I would like to visit those places myself. Thank you.
I enjoy seeing the towns you go through. Sometimes it feels like a drive through history with you narrating the way you do. Your travels would be a great way to learn some of our history without feeling like we're in school. Sadie is such a joy to see. That sunset was absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing it. Safe and happy travels.
I think part of why we like you driving through the little towns is you get excited . we can tell that you are really enjoying yourself Carolyn. That makes it more enjoyable for us. We're seeing places we have never dreamed of . most of us live in cities anymore seems like. So showing us where your driving in these little towns is exciting. Some of us forget there are still places out there where people still live . I like small town life . I also like for there to be a good size town around an hour HR and half away to do shopping. Thanks for sharing these places with us
I love seeing the town's you drive thru. My husband and I hope to someday be nomads, but if not we are traveling thru your videos. Glad your tires have stopped giving you trouble.
Wow, that last image of Sadie with the sun setting was magical! And I definitely enjoy all the little towns you pass through and seeing them. It's fun to see how other people live.
I've never had the chance to explore a lot of the state, I so enjoy watching you pass through and give a little history. I look forward to seeing the East Coast through your and Sadie's eyes. Don't be shy about sharing that.
Oh! Tires on the RV are the bane of my existence! We used to travel in a Bounder motorhome, and were forever blowing tires along the way. Spent the night in the parking lot of many a tire store. Nice to hear they tire shop took such good care or you! Sure love the scenery that you are showing in all your videos.
I have a lot of family in Michigan, and love that state! Have camped there many many times over the past 60 some years! Hope rest of your trip is/was good!
Oh my Carolyn your videos are so top notch already I myself would hate for you to change a thing. It is like we are there with you. Beautiful. Well done every time. Sadie girl is looking so good. Love that girl.
You are right about the small towns in Michigan. They are so nice and clean. The same can be said for towns in Wisconsin and Iowa. Having lived 60 years in Illinois and recently moved to Texas for family obligations I really love the videos of those states. Thanks
Carolyn, these videos are outstanding! I absolutely love seeing small towns and getting a feel for the place. I would love to see the UP after seeing all of your videos. Very well done and beautiful music to go along with beautiful scenery. Just wonderful! 👍👍👍👍👍😁
Thanks for taking us along! BTW, my Dad was from one of the uppermost parts of the UP. Grand Marais. His family made fish boxes on 600 acres, My aunt and uncle had the only store in town.
I love that you tell us about the towns snd the historical information I’m from Kamloops BC Canada 🇨🇦 and will never see these places . I travel through your eyes. Do keep it up I love it❤️👍
So glad that you had a good experience at the tire shop...that is so rare, to walk out and to feel like a very good day is ahead of us after the visit. Liked your idea with the horns - to agree or not agree with signs posted...funny! A concept hard to grasp tho in L.A. Love small towns. Sadie is having the time of her life!..and oh...beautiful sunset!!
Yay !!!! I haven't seen the UP even though I lived in Hibbing Minnesota, very near Virginia. My Dad was such a creature of habit. Our summer vacations were the same. I love traveling with you 💕 when we start to travel more my list is going to be long. Have a blessed week. Love & Light from Washington state 💖🌟
Hello Carolyn , I use to have a ooga horn which I purchased at harbor freight store. It was for my 96 cheve truck. I had the greatest time with that horn. I miss it and my truck still. Easy to install. I hope you do get one.
I ❤️ your videos! I honestly love watching you drive through the towns taking in the scenery as you go. They're places I'll probably never see so I appreciate you letting us tag along!
Love seeing your Michigan video looking forward to more of them ! We like our state very much ! Just got a truck and fithwheel this year and love camping !
It doesn’t matter what town you go through as long as you are there you make it interesting. I love when you walk and talk and Sadie is so happy running around exploring. This video was so beautiful at the end. It looked so serene. Yaaaay! Your tires are fixed! ❤️Love from Alaska...Anne
Like everyone else l’m enjoying all the small towns you are going thru. Would love to live that laid back lifestyle where you know your neighbors and shopkeepers. But then I picture them in the winter covered in snow!! I’m a So Cal native and would never make it…especially at age 74!! Definitely on my list now for a late summer or early fall trip. Thank you!!
That closing shot was simply gorgeous. I absolutely agree with you about the small towns, they are super cute. I am absolutely going to visit the UP because of your videos
Omg....when we built our house in 1975 I kept picking up nails at the home site. Grrrrrrrlfriend, I had 21 flats in less than a year!! I could jack up my 66 Chevy Bel Air , take tire 9ff, get new outta trunk and be done in under 5 minutes. All my friends still bring it up anytime anyone has tire probs, lol.
I love it when you film small local towns...Bad Axe, Michigan was a small town where I was born. My cousin is the mayor of Bad Axe. I have been told my family is a long line of my maiden last name mayors of Bad Axe. Keep filming and smelling the flowers along the way on your very picturesque journey with Sadie. Smiles and hugs.
😊We pronounce that as 'How tin' here Carolyn! 👍. The tyres, wow. Thank goodness sorted for you, at last! Sadie girl, so happy skipping along the edge of Lake Superior! 💜🐕 and those smooches! 😙
Somewhere (sorry can’t say on UA-cam) south east of L’anse is a boondock river crossing campsite. At this camp experienced the most awesome, memorable natural beauty happening of all the years I’ve travelled the U.P.
I am glad that You finally got them fixed. I had a 1985 Plymouth Reliant and it came with Good Year Vector tires and they were like a magnet for rocks and nails.
You may want to have your tires Slimed, Carolyn. It's a liquid product that seals small and medium-sized leaks as you drive. They carry it at Wal-Mart. You (or a shop) just jack up your rig, which may be quite a task given the weight of it, and remove the valve stem core of your tire with a core remover tool that's sold near the Slime and Fix-a-flat. You squeeze the correct amount of Slime into the tire, replace the valve core and then air it up. The Slime coats the inside of the tire and plugs leaks if something happens to penetrate the tire. I've used it for 15 years and it really works and will also seal any leaks where the tire meets the wheel rim. (You also might want to keep a couple large cans of fix-a-flat on hand if you don't want to do the Slime, just to get you back to civilization if you have another flat out in the boonies.) Good luck.
👍 The horn idea is hilarious! I think we all need one! The landscape is gorgeous. Glad you found a nice spot by the water. Sadie probably slept like a baby after getting to go swimming and running on the beach :) Safe & Happy Travels
Would you believe I was googling the average weight of a tiny house and this video came up in the search results? Perhaps the average weight of a light house will have to wait till the next town. The small towns are awesome.
Great sunset. How many times have i stood on the shores of Lake Erie in Cleveland, watching the sun go down and waiting for the green line... which I have never seen.
Folks who grow up around the Great Lakes are familiar with the name ‘Houghton’ because one of our popular tourist lakes is Houghton Lake. It is especially popular with ice fishermen in winter.
I'm so struck by the light - our clocks have just gone back an hour over here in the UK, so we feel like we are back to the gloom. So lovely to see the sun. Good for the soul. Thanks for sharing.
Michele, it was such a gorgeous sunset! In fact every night at that lighthouse there was a sunset crowd who came just for that. I highly recommend that spot if you're ever in MI!
In mid May I picked up my new to me RV in Oscoda Mi. And drove it all the way back to Venice Calif. I couldn't stop and sight see as I had pets waiting for me to return. It's definitely on my go back and visit list when I can take my time. There wasn't one town that I didn't want to return to see especially along the lakes there. Thanks for having the time to record them for us to see.
As pretty as the stamp sand beach is, I’m sure you’ve heard by now why it’s not very crowded. It’s an ongoing problem up there to figure out how to deal with it. Your brief stay there shouldn’t be a problem but the locals have been worried about its drift over Buffalo Reef and everywhere else it’s ended up for a long time. While all lakes/oceans can have different kinds of beaches (Lake Michigan mostly has the typical soft golden sandy beaches), my favorite childhood memories of Lake Superior were of its miles of beautiful pebbles and smooth stones of every hue! Including the famous pre-dinosaur coral fossils of Petoskey stones. Fortunately those shorelines still exists for the most part. I used to collect shoeboxes full on camping trips and realize now how tolerant my father must have been, allowing me to haul them home…I’m sure he was smiling and thinking of Lucile Ball at the time, lol.

I've noticed a change in you over the last few months... Your spirit is lighter and happier. Wishing you much peace.
That's funny. A few others to me I don't seem happy lately. Lol.
But yes I'm enjoying my travels and do feel light and 😊 😃
Beautiful. Loved the ending. Kinda made me teary. Wish people could just see this beautiful world, embrace it, and take care of each other.

Maybe a horn that sounds like a raspberry? Me too. I like seeing the old towns and the old architecture.
I am glad that You finally got them fixed. I had a 1985 Plymouth Reliant and it came with Good Year Vector tires and they were like a magnet for rocks and nails.
It a big deal here in Michigan to say you've visited all the lighthouses. Glad you got to see some!

Your attitude is awesome.
Sadie’s coat is so shiny and healthy
Yes! That town is beautiful! and the shore is beautiful. It's just the extremes of weather--humidity and snow--that would get me to me.
Thanks for the footage of L'Anse, MI. I've never been there but talk to people from there often.
That shot at around 11 min was breathing, I love seeing the little towns.
