Great collab Gabo!! Good seeing you.
Good seeing you brotha!
If you have access to a gym, the most obvious solution is to combine calisthenics with traditional resistance training (free-weights and machines) in your exercise routines.
I've worked in the fitness industry for 20 years and as a personal trainer myself, the whole "calisthenics vs weights" debate seems counterintuitive to me.
There's nothing wrong with either focusing primarily on calisthenics for a while, focusing primarily on traditional resistance training for a while or combining them both equally.
Commenting to thank you guys. This is a video I've been really excited about seeing from the fam. Always very infortmative and helpful.
Love the Collaboration! One misconception is that many people expect calisthenics to build the muscle that looks like the gym one. However, everyone who trains calisthenics should shift the focus to strength increase, the muscle definition would come along the way and the looks will depend on individual genetics!
Just wanna point out the typo in the title ‘calitshenics’
Lol
Thanks 😄🫶🏽
Thnaks for the great guidance!
Perfect duo and intense and fun exercise to build those muscles! Question... have you ever tried Next Level Diet? I got a muscle-building plan from them and I love it
I haven’t! Glad it’s working for you! -Gabo
nice video! nice to see you guys collab
Great collaboration brother gods. I appreciate the tips👏🏾👏🏾💪🏾👌🏾✌🏾
Please get together with Jeff Nippard and create us an all encompassing program. Heavy weights, calisthenics and mobility. That would be the ultimate all around program!
Awesome tips, thanks
Haven’t seen you collab with Austin Dunham in a long time
Keep up the the great work and stay strong 💪
Step 1 - take roids and pump up huge boys
Informative video, thank you
One Love!
Always forward, never ever backward!!

🙏🏿🙏🙏🏼
so in a nutshell: find a progression that's challenging/stressful enough for your muscles that you can't do more than 15 reps and train that progression to or near failure
Pretty much :) and attack all angles of push and pull. -Gabo
When Legends collab
Good to see you guys together again!🙌🏿👏🏾💜
It was a great time! -Gabo
I missed this duo , nice vid 💪🙏
Awesome Video
The boss man gets around!
Gabo is so brilliant, you can feel it
Thanks a lot 💙 -Gabo
Scientifically the RPE8 is the best metric to continuously overload, while cycling deload weeks and often RPE9 to shock the muscle, and far far less often RPE10, to test the muscles but you should be looking more towards what you can recover from versus what you can achieve because if you can drive your way through a 10 and you can't do anything for a week or two then did you really succeed. 8 is best, 9 is a healthier intensity, 7 is for learning new skills/techniques/patterns
Hehe that’s why I disagreed with Austin here 😄 aside from what science says, I just can’t recover from RPE 10 training. -Gabo
@@SaturnoMovement yeah what people can do with Peak Performance and their training is not as important as what they can recover from because if you participate in the sport or a training modality and you can only last about five years but other people can do about 30 years, you would likely want to adhere to what the 30-year person has to say
You guys are the best duo💪💪
Thanks!! ❤
thanks!
This is the reason exercises using machines at a gym are the most effective for building muscle. Stability.
💪
Just kinda goes to a very basic principle you can't escape. Take the exercise to failure. Building muscle is simply the action of hurting your muscles on purpose in a safe controlled manner so they re grow stronger. You can take all these exercises to failure without weights, but it's gonna take a lot longer.
Awesome content..
Please do a Hiit jump rope workout next, along with how to properly perform HIIT. Research has it that many do not know what it truly means(form/execution). I’d be forever grateful if you honored this request. A successful year to you, Gabo!🎉🎉
it's a calisthenics & yoga channel..
Here is a skipping HIIT workout for you, grab a rope, put on a 10 minute timer, skip.
What weight belt is Gabo using?
It’s my own. We’ll produce more soon 🙏🏽
What do you think about rings dips/push up? Not enough stable? Or middle range between stable and unstable?
Ring push-ups and dips are really good for building muscle.
What's a good way to keep from marking the wall up when doing handstand pushups?
Take your shoes off is possible and the socks should slide. If not, have one leg bent on the wall with the straight leg off the wall while the bent leg is used for stability.
Cover the walls in plastic tarp like a serial killer would.
I used to watch Austin but now manz is a cornball. That being said great video, I still watch Austin's old videos

@@BulkierEmu050Provided no info😭😂
Brother Gabo...i really want one for straight arm strength please ..from the very beginning.
Yeah me too... hope he makes one on that topic
I got you fam!
If stability is key for building muscle wouldn’t that make the rings a poor choice for hypertrophy?
Give you some reserve if doing handstand pushups so not to smash fail your head and neck on the ground and end up in a hospital bed.😮
Sir can you make a video how to fix uneven lats. My one side lats was bigger than the other side. I hope u will reply this comment tq
Is that blue jacket park?
being fit means that you will never feel cold and you will never be in need to buy a shirt.
Well they gotta show them the merchandise, right? 💪🏾🤓
These boys have not worn a shirt for years
hi sir ❤️ 💪💪 what is ur arm size flexed?
gang
anyone can do pull ups and pushups but if try to get out of your comfort zone and do..
120 push-ups in 1 minute declined is better and 60 pullups in 1 minute then you just
accomplished something good for once.
I’ve personally never been able to build muscle with “calitshenics” myself.
With right programming and nutrition you should be able to 🙏🏽 -Gabo
I see what you did there 😆
"My fitness pal" users raise ur ✋
You all came to Orlando without saying:(
I’ll announce it next time :) it was a solo trip for me. -Gabo
@@SaturnoMovement i be going to that same park quite often
Who said you cannot build muscles with bodyweight?! Why would that been true? It has no logic.
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Gabo, how tall are you?
Top duo, top video
...someone ever said that the introduce sentence..like you can't...why you don't...are make people thinking they can't in the first moment and or that its not possible with calisthenics? Maybe better to choose oposite description/headline...more motivational and leads to want to know what calisthenics/you can help them to achieve...🤔
The only reason we choose “don’t” it’s because we are pouting out “mistakes” rather than direct protocols. Our original title was “why you can’t build muscle” and we changed it because it was pointed out by our community to be misleading. We always try to make our titles as honest as possible and we continue to do so. Thanks for the feedback as always 🙏🏽 -Gabo
@@SaturnoMovement I understand, thank you for the work, dedication, kindness and love you show with all the videos🙏 blessed ones to find you⭐
@@sixtearsgalaxy thank you for the love and support!! 🙏🏽💙 means the world to me and my team. -Gabo
Who said that you can't build muscle with Calisthenics? I build my body with calisthenics and after 40 volume is the key
You clearly didn't even bother watching the video before commenting. SMH
@@perotal No, really. I want to know, who said I can't?! ... 😂
@@perotal Yes I didn't watch all the video but they were saying that by adding weight you only gain muscle, so than I started comment that I believe that good form and volume as well making you gain muscle, mean while I got busy with some things else and unfortunately I couldn't watch the rest of the video.
We never say we can’t. And no, added weight is not necessary, but extremely useful. -Gabo
@@SaturnoMovement I m sorry next time I will watch all the video before commenting, my bad 🙏 Great respect to you and your work
there are downsides to going to 0 reps
You have a spelling mistake in the title.
Thanks!
I hope it was worth it for Austin to stay natural 😂😂😂😂
The dude already looks like he is in his 40s
Maybe change the title to "Why you don't Build Muscle ....". It's very misleading
Edit: Done
Title still makes sense but yea i can see how its misleading
Fix. Thanks :) -Gabo
@@SaturnoMovement
I saw saturno 2 years ago last time. for my taste he is too heavy. he looked better before, leaner.
Generally everyone looks better leaner
I was definitely not leaner 2 years ago 😂 and I am the same weight. -Gabo
@@SaturnoMovement ok maybe its because of the sunshine or it was rigth after trainig so the vessels where pumped up and looked bigger/ more veiny. However do not try to keep up with these "big and heavy" guys. That's not you, and your message to the world. You message is health, flexibility and feeling comfy in your body - so I assume. You have one of the most desirable and astetic bodies I have seen on youtube so far! Beside you are a great guy, stay tuned and strong! Greetings from germany.
This is wrong, you see others build muscle with calisthenics
