We are always taking off with no where to go! Yes, we have a destination but the path we take is always open. Who cares if you don’t have full hookups? Life a journey, enjoy the laughs along the way! Love you guys.
Thanks for the ongoing entertainment. A note on your water pump/bypass issue. If you build cap (quick disconnect with a cap or plug) that goes on your hose inlet, it would prevent back flow, and protect the end of your quick disconnect from damage and debris.
we actually did the Cracker Barrel road trip, had the Barrel for breakfast and dinner everyday from Ohio to Florida. we couldn't get to them all cuz if you look, theres a lot of them. we love you guys, miss trying to be first "like" on the videos but work takes me past. but never miss an episode.
For your water bypass issue, I would recommend just putting a ball valve Where The supply line Leading under your chassie. You could get it for you're type of pex piping.
You guys are freaking awesome! If I ever meet you in a campground I’m going to squeal like a little girl and come running for huggies from you and purrs from Dexter…🎉
That is so awesome guys! We just did that same trip. We live in South West Florida. We evacuated to Texas for hurricane Ian. On the way home we made that same run. We stopped in Pensacola for the night though. I can't wait to see the next episode. Charlotte County in Florida just passed an ordinance that you can park your RV in the front yard and live in it for two years while your house is being repaired or rebuilt.
Nice, I like taking off with no plans but Fred is more of a planner. I always tell him there is a lot of places to check out. Glad you got a place lay your head on the Holiday weekend. Have a nice week. Mary💕Fred
I remember camping when I was growing up. We didn't make reservations. Once you got to the campground, We would drive around until we found a place to setup. We'd park in the site and wait for the park ranger or the host came and took our money. Nowadays, we wouldn't think about leaving the house without reservations. Campgrounds fill up so fast. Glad you were able to find a spot and I hope you are able to find camping spaces for the next two days. In the summer, it is too hot to go without a/c. Either we use our generator or the 50 amp. I'm too old to have to bear the heat or the cold. You two are young. You could probably dry camp or stay in a site that isn't full hook up with no problems. I love your videos, they are fun to watch. As always, I thank you for sharing the day!
Sounds like our kind of Camping..... If you decide to do the Buc-'see Run (Visit all the Buc-ee's) we will join that convoy for sure! Love watching you guys.
Glad to see we're not the only ones who don't always do holiday reservations. Your conversation in the truck sounds just like ours the only difference.....there's no Buckies in our state! Lol
We had a reflection about 35' went up to a 40' momentum it definitely lessened the amount of sites we can reserve and being about a foot higher also makes a difference in where we can go.
Great video, cant wait to try our first Buckees experience this winter.....we drive from 95 on 10 to Destin, sometimes I think we will never get there,,,10 is such a boring road....glad you found a spot....
We just found your channel via suggestions. You guys really have a well edited and funny channel. We dont have an RV and having watched KYD and other rv channels the last few years we will stick to traveling in comfort and simply staying in unique boutique lodges. No leveling, no $100,000 trailers falling apart. We love your channel and it’s great there are different strokes for different folks. 😁
Hey Carl - the duets on your water fix. Get a female quick connect and a screw it into a 3/4" GHT Female Garden Hose Cap. Use this to cover your connection. You now have no need to bypass & no drip! You will have too take it off when you connect with water and replace when you leave, but you are there with the hose anyway. We stayed a month in Defuniak Springs last January (except when we saw y’all at Eustis,) and Twin Lakes was nice, but boring.
I love watching the 2 of ya'll. It just seems like yall have so much fun no matter whats going on. I can't wait on the next video to see if you got a place the next day.
You guys are so fun to watch! Thanks for sharing this challenge! We don’t always have reservations for the day and sometimes wing it. Usually in a Cracker Barrel parking lot 😅. We just started full time RV life with our 3 kids a little over a month ago! So far we are loving it!
Hi! I'm Robin. I have watched nearly all of your delightful videos, some more than once. I'm busy doing my research prior to jumping in with my rig purchase. Thank you for the videos, your humor, and I hope to meet you someday! Cheers!
When i move locations, I like to use Harvest Hosts/Boondockers Welcome especially staying at wineries and breweries. A lot of them offer power and even water to refill your fresh. You can always find a place to dump. Can be a little stressful if you are only relying on RV Parks over big Holiday weekends.
Yeah Buc-ee's there you go. Can't wait until we to Buc-ee's for the first time. Have to get our picture with the Buc-ee's mascot when we get there to. ~ Kevin and Pat
So, I would totally fly by the seat of my pants, but Danny really likes to make reservations. Reservations. It stresses him out if we don't have them. Maybe I'll challenge him to a 72 hour no reservation time. 😁 Lynn and Danny
Hello, looking at your water hose quick connect, may I suggest to prevent system contamination and help with the bypass leakage. Purchase an additional female connector and cap off or plug the opposite end, then install this prior to travel. it will prevent road debris from access to your potable water and work as a cap to prevent the leakage.
Always love me some buc ees! And you said it! If we see you, mention a round of pickle ball…the gauntlet has been thrown! 😂 kidding…we will most definitely try to wrangle you into a pickle ball game if we see you for sure! We are from the are where pickle ball started, but have only been playing for a very short time. It’s so much fun! Thanks again for a great video, we look forward to them every week. ❤️
You guys were laugh out loud funny in this video! So many puns! And of course sexy Dexy! Great video you guys! Nothing like living on the edge and i have a feeling the to be continued video isnt going to be as easy as this one was lol! So we put the Clearsourse water filters in our Solitude as well and we have to install a check valve for the same reason. Safe travels!-
you are always welcome to my small rv Kamp that is 95% ready, electricity, water and sewer is ready, missing some comestic details, perry Florida, 4 minutes from Adam beach and 7 minutes from Keaton beach!

Lol. Except it is. (Too good to be true) Local prices for diesel in Texas have been equal or less than the open roads prices at participating truck stops for a couple months now. So I try to fill up while I am unhitched. Wish it was not the case though!
Was going to apply but stopped when it asked for my SS #. NO ONE needs your social security # , especially for something as simple as a discount app. And I'm disappointed that the Hanks didn't warn us beforehand.
I would have a psychotic break if I was just gadding about with no reservations on a holiday weekend! LOL My poor little Type A brain is spinning at just the thought of it, so kudos on your courage to just get out there and be free as a bird. As always, I enjoyed your video and I am learning so much from your channel. By the time the next few years go by until we can retire and start our RV life, we shouldn’t look like such rank noobs as we will be. Safe travels!!!
If you come back through the area and get to stay at Twin Lakes it will be fun. Go in town to Ed’s Pub Bugger, great buggers and milkshakes. It was nice meeting you two last week at Talona Ridge.
We do many one night stands in RVing. Cracker Barrel is our first choice. 12volt heated blanket still works for cold nights, as for hot nights sorry no suggestions... State Parks are awesome too, we have waited till after 3pm and called and asked if they had a site or any cancelations/no shows from the night before. We even had one state park say if we use no hook ups we can sleep in their day parking area for one night. Wife and I watch your show all the time, it is one of our favorite sitcoms... LoL When we grow up we will RV just like ya'll! Peace, Love, and Jelly Beans ya'll!
How cool is that, you just take a chance on getting a place to stay over night and get two night's. 😀 and listen to this about to blow your mind, my wife and I haven't been to Bucee's yet. LOL I enjoyed the video. Safe Travels to #TheHanks
Awesome that yall did it without any reservations and would definitely like to play a round of pickleball against yall we play 3 days a week keep make great videos and safe travels.
We are about to hit the road full time in a few weeks and my goal is not to plan every little stop unless it's for a high demand area. I want to be able to go where ever our whims take us. 🤘 #thankshanks
Buccees is my most favorite place to fuel up. I have a GMC just like yours and a Grand Design Momentum 381m and when I pull my truck up to the diesel pump, the gas fill for the onboard generator on the momentum lands perfectly at the gas pump behind me. This allows me to fill everything at once. And of course I fill up with a brisket sandwich :). Have a great trip, love your videos!
Loved this episode…. I would just take a chance and show up for a campsite but I’m a little crazy anyway 😂 Anyway, we would love to see a video on tips for visiting Buck’ees! We tried to stop on the worst day ever, Sunday…. We had to keep on trucking (or RV’ing lol) cause there was not one inch left to park, it was an RV’s worst nightmare. But we will go back… we are just that kind of people haha. Safe travels to some of my favorite RV (And I’m like the comment above - if I ever see y’all, I will come hollering and squealing!!)
Buc-ee’s to Buc-ee’s is perfect!!! I ❤️ Buc-ee’s!! Their food is so delicious & the beef jerky is my fav! I even have a Buc-ee’s t-shirt collection. I like to hit up Buc-ee’s for gifts.
"Thanks Hanks" for the tip on the fuel card. I did it and downloaded the app and it looks like a pretty big savings when I compare to gas buddy in the locations I'm going to be traveling.
You guys are great! In this video, you spent a lot of time idling with the truck. I understand the heat - I NEED the air-conditioning 🥵but I am under the impression (OCD🙄🤣) that you’re not supposed to run a diesel idling for long. Does anybody out there have real data on is it good or bad to idle modern diesels and if it is bad, how long vs how bad?
How about a cap on your city water connect? That would prevent the water from coming out when you run your pump. It walk also prevent you from having to worry about your bypass.
hey just noticed the snap pads on the rig. so do you like them. I am pretty satisfied with them after 3 yrs of use. although I still throw out some 10x10 plywood pieces if I am in some softer ground. I remember the vid when you were not sold on them. Be safe.
Really enjoy your channel. Have you guys ever come through or stayed anywhere in Arkansas? We have lots of beautiful state parks. Hot Springs National Park is awesome. We would love to show you the area.
The Brisket sandwiches at Bucees are the best. We've been on the road FT for 4 years now, and we never pay for a night's stay when traveling to our destination. It's just not in our budget, but good for you if you can afford $42 a night. For us we'd rather stay in an Interstate rest area, welcome center (many have free dump and fill stations), and casino parking lot, Walmart (if we're low on groceries), Cabellas, Cracker Barrel (and get a meal), etc. We always ask ourselves, "What else could we spend that money on that we would enjoy more?" More of those Bucees BBQ brisket sandwiches come to mind - yum. When we do stay at a campground or RV Park we always enjoy the monthly rate. For example, the RV park we're at now in South TX is only $200 for a single month. We plan on wintering over here and enjoy their best rate of $170/mo. + electric, which usually runs $75-$100/mo.) We like it here cause the park is full of friendly old farts like us. We really enjoy your channel. Keep up the good, creative work.
We got caught in Atlanta GA in late June. Oh my..no generator, no ac. We were so tired so walmart parking lot it was. The quiet 50 amp generators are super expensive and the harbor freight 50 amp isn't designed for rv. :(
You guys are my favorite UA-cam RV channel.
The entire concept of this weekend trip (no planning or reservations) gives me the willies. Good Luck!

We drive 100 miles to our nearest one. We always make it an overnighted.
Your normal city water hookup has a check valve you can put on in your other connection
The EFS card has saved us so much, especially while in California!
I just started watching the Hanks and I just can't stop watching! Great entertainment!
Hi Clint! Thank you for your amazing support 😃 We appreciate you! - Kyle and Renee

DeFuniak Springs (Dee-Few-Knee-ack) is my hometown! If I ever see them in a store I will pee my pants! LOVE this channel!

We travel without reservations very often. Of course not on a holiday weekend. :-) In 4 years we have only had one issue in finding a spot.
Nice, I like taking off with no plans but Fred is more of a planner. I always tell him there is a lot of places to check out. Glad you got a place lay your head on the Holiday weekend. Have a nice week. Mary💕Fred

We love stopping at Buc-ee's in our motorhome. Getting sandwiches & snacks then sitting in our rv & having a relaxing lunch.
Install a check valve on your water connection. This should prevent any back flow
Loved this video, you guys aren’t afraid of a challenge!

I love pickled beets! And a quick coupler with a cap for the water line.
Y'all are such a fun and positive couple!
The more i watch, the more im enjoying you guy's videos. Ya'll are hilarious! 😂
Wow, I could never do that. I plan out the entire trip, gas, food and rest stops. Always nervous that something will happen and ruin the whole thing!
You guys are awesome, I can't wait to see how the rest of this trip goes.

Easy access panel door to the back of the Wet Bay? Nay Nay, youre a GENIUS!
I have stayed at twin lakes before….in their glamping tents….you have to try it with your rig…. Love the lake and tiny homes too
I saw you on the Changing Lanes Video this week. I watched your latest video on your labor day weekend trip. Now I have to watch all the others.
You kids even knowing what "The Wizard of Oz" is speaks volumes! Love your channel!

Yup, stayed at the same place in DeFuniak last December and of course stopped at Buc-eyes.
Need to do a video of the truck set up. I'm curious about what kind of suspension upgrades yall have done and what kind of hitch set up you use

Hi, can you use the card on all gas station ?
Why is the SSN necessary? Is this a fueling credit card?
Was going to apply but stopped when it asked for my SS #. NO ONE needs your social security # , especially for something as simple as a discount app. And I'm disappointed that the Hanks didn't warn us beforehand.
@@BoysBarn that’s why I didn’t apply either. Why would you need a Social Security number?
You daredevils you! Great video as always. Bucee's!!
The first few seconds of this video are the sweetest thing ever. 😭
I love your guys videos!
Thank you very much!! Your support is great!
We love Pickleball as well; we’re hooked. We actually look for Pickleball courts at the places we stay.
Y’all are the BEST. I love yalls videos.
Pop in a shut off valve outside just above your quick connect. You've got the crimping tool!! LOL

Thanks for making me laugh! I love your flexibility and roll-with-it style.
Nascar campimg ! See you in Martinsville first weekend in april !
Now that sounds like an awesome time! Thank you for your amazing support and for taking the time to watch 😃
I was down there in Baldwin County the same time you were! Love it there!!! Can’t wait to head back!!
Buccees is my most favorite place to fuel up. switch the couplings on yours hoses for your quick connect and it will solve your back flow issue when the water pump is on
Im so glad it worked out!! Yippee and a yummy chicken sandwich!! Nice job guys
Labor Day weekend we were there in twin lakes with the Tin Can Tours. We will be at the rally in November, can't wait to meet you guys.
Another great video! And Dexter was in the limelight.:) Thanks!!
Love the video! Thats my Buccees! I go there 1-2 times per week! you're in my neighborhood! Have fun and stay safe guys!
We went to Buc ees in Crossville Tennessee several weeks ago ( might have been Cookeville!) It was our 2nd time....one word, CROWDED!
Loved this episode…. I would just take a chance and show up for a campsite but I’m a little crazy anyway 😂
Anyway, we would love to see a video on tips for visiting Buck’ees! We tried to stop on the worst day ever, Sunday…. We had to keep on trucking (or RV’ing lol) cause there was not one inch left to park, it was an RV’s worst nightmare. But we will go back… we are just that kind of people haha. (And I’m like the comment above - if I ever see y’all, I will come hollering and squealing!!)
How could you not love the Hank's!! Much love from Middle TN 💚💚
Love the pickled peas too. In a pouch.
Hello Hank's, it's great to see you today.
Super crazy 🤣 we love you guys ! You’re brave flying with no resies 😳 I’d be puking 🤢
Hey just put in a quarter turn shutoff valve right by your connection to stop your back flow.
Buc-ee’s to Buc-ee’s is perfect!!! I ❤️ Buc-ee’s!! Their food is so delicious & the beef jerky is my fav! I even have a Buc-ee’s t-shirt collection. I like to hit up Buc-ee’s for gifts.

I love Buc ‘ees. I’m glad that this fine Texas company is spreading out.
Pecans are the best, and chocolate covered? Heaven on earth!!
You guys are great! In this video, you spent a lot of time idling with the truck. I understand the heat - I NEED the air-conditioning 🥵but I am under the impression (OCD🙄🤣) that you’re not supposed to run a diesel idling for long. Adventures with the Hanks Family 👪😺
This is what I say EVERY TIME, another GREAT video!
If my wife showed up with beets, I would be marching right back into that store for a pregnancy test.
I watched the Tom Hanks' movie, "Greyhound" and I noticed that Carl and Tom share some physical features, like the eyes, was pretty neat
How about a cap on your city water connect? That would prevent the water from coming out when you run your pump. It walk also prevent you from having to worry about your bypass.
D. ALL THE ABOVE !!! WHOOHOO 😊
Just came over from Changing Lanes and joined your channel. You guys are hilarious.
We are at Lake Osprey now. It's beautiful here.
Sometimes it's fun to just go without plans and see what happens.
Thanks for a fun video.
hey just noticed the snap pads on the rig. so do you like them. I am pretty satisfied with them after 3 yrs of use. although I still throw out some 10x10 plywood pieces if I am in some softer ground. I remember the vid when you were not sold on them. Be safe.
Just buy a snap-on quick connect cap to plug the new city connector. The cap will perform as a valve while under way
I LOVE THE HANKS !
Really enjoy your channel. Have you guys ever come through or stayed anywhere in Arkansas? We have lots of beautiful state parks. Hot Springs National Park is awesome. We would love to show you the area.
I've passed that Buc-ees a lot it was not that it was holiday weekend that one is FULL all the time!!
I did the Buc-ee's from one in St Augustine, Alabama, and 3 in Texas off of I-10
The Brisket sandwiches at Bucees are the best.
Love you guys!
