Don’t ever apologise for the speed at that you play the game my friend your content is quality. Some may think your too slow but I believe it builds the suspense and the quality of work in some of your other builders (annon and city sky lines) the quality is better
Congratz on surviving the Whiteout! What an intense episode. Had to bunker everything down and just burn burn burn to survive. Glad the generator didn't explode and you turned it off right as the Whiteout was ending. Hope those Pilgrims aren't too angry about their kids if they return. At least you gave them food for their journey, haha.
I had the same confusion with the injectors. Turns out they only work if you have a surplus oil balance, not oil stockpile! Since you were on -400, they dont work. Also i love your slower approach and narration, its the story playthrough after all, its immersive ❤
Man the end of the whiteout was a close one. I dont see an issue with how you handled the Stalwards and the kids. They were left unattended, and fellow citizens kept an eye out, until the parents returned. Its not like they stole them and assumed the role of a guardian.
Darren, I follow your content for a long time, and I really really like it, but sometimes somethings are so obvious and intuitive in the game and somehow you miss it!😅
I can't tell if you're overly optimistic sometimes or a little naive in the games options offered to you... the pilgrims didn't abandon their children, they left them in a safe place whilst they went into the wasteland to look for supplies and goods. They're likely to come back, and when they do... there will be consequences lol. The Stalwarts are not nice people 😅
"Naive"? We all have different interpretations, it seems. That's part of what makes this game interesting. e.g. if the Pilgrims left their kids home without adults to take care of them, how were they supposed to survive?
I agree with justpeeping (lol) My interpretation in the moment was that the Pilgrims left to go into the storm, so they could ... forage? It says to "Find supplies guided by their prophets visions" - so its like... ok, cool, I'll even give you the food you need to do that, hoping you return with something worthwhile. At the time of the Stalwarts event, looking after their children it had been 30 weeks since the Pilgrims left. 30 weeks is a long time, the storm had kicked off and we have some Stalwarts looking after their kids willingly. Maybe to indoctrinate them, that could be the case. Maybe they see abandoned kids and think those Pilgrims are never coming back. I'm not sure, but I don't really see the need to punish the Stalwarts for it. Now if the event said they had been beating the kids to teach them the value of Order or something, that'd change everything. From a gameplay perspective there wasn't much reason to either, as it would hurt the Stalwarts and lower Tension. We had no Tension, whereas the other option would hurt the Pilgrims and raise overall Trust. So that seemed more reasonable to me, given the situation both for gameplay and story. By the end of the episode it has been 50 weeks since they left. 50 weeks! Still no Pilgrims. I will be interested to see if they fight over custody of the kids though, I worry I have probably created some tension if they come back. Certainly I would want them to take their kids back, but probably do something nice for the Stalwarts who took care of them while they were gone.
Your sense of immersion is what makes your content stand out
Thanks!

Down with the pilgrims!!!!! If they hadn’t returned how would the children have survived without the stewarts

The Pilgrims could have just left two or three people to keep an eye on the children and this wouldnt have been an issue.
