Appreciate the video. I’ve been wanting to see how hempcrete homes hold up. It seems there is some mold forming on the exterior in areas that don’t get much sunlight. Is this a challenge with this type of construction?
Keep em coming, people need to see to believe and the more you can show, the more people will make the choice to build with a more durable medium for longevity, resilience, and health.
Thanks for the comment buddy! I'll do my best to keep em coming but I gotta hustle to pay rent and look after my daughter solo so I can only do what I can... Hoping one day someone might actually pay or sponsor me to promote carbon sequestering! If you feel like contributing hit this link :) hempbuilding.au/help-hbd-help-the-planet/ Thanks so much either way...
Thanks for your question! :) Well, there's no bugs in this one! Hempcrete has a high lime component which the termites don't like. It caustic to them. And whilst it's meant to be completely termite resistant best practice is to still use ant caps or similar in the footings.

The bathroom mosaic is an interpretation of Hokusai's "Great Wave off Kanazawa". Over a year, the house produces more electricity than it uses.
Thanks Kirstie for this extra info! Good to know :)
