It was safer years ago,now people are not paying attention and not looking for motorcycles. When my mother died of a terminal illness after suffering for a long time, an interesting difference in my mindset is that my fear of getting killed while riding basically disappeared. One of the main problems over there in the US letting fearless kids on high powered machines that need respecting even from a very experienced rider, and these youngsters usually have had very little if any training. You watch a rideout on UA-cam from the US, expect to see at least one crash, it just rarely happens over here.

very apt vlog man. Reached out to an old mate yesterday only to realize that he had passed away after a MC accident. I always ride "with my head on a swivel" and fingers on the front brake - they never leave, EVER, no matter what. It's just a routine and hopefully it makes that split second difference when it matters. Every car/vehicle/animal in sight/vicinity is an active threat to be addressed - constantly. Riding is mentally draining and stimulating at the same time. I love it and will keep riding for as long as possible.

If I had a big touring bike I might be MORE likely to crash it as wrangling that big bus around corners would be a different experience for sure.

True true, I been riding since I was 25 back in 2004 and I got rear ended by a drunk driver on interstate 95 and then hit head on by a handicap elder man on a side street. I did get hurt in my first wreck but I’m back riding

All your bikes sounds sick!! But that R1 tho........ ha haa! I'm up in Toronto Canada and we are kind of "The Melting Pot" of driving and riding. Toronto is the most multi cultural city in Canada. With that being said we have many different driving habits and riding. Almost every day of the week during the summer we either lose someone or they went down. The motorcycle community in Toronto is huge! But we all kind of know each other because we all meet up at certain places during The week. I feel you bro and I always say to my fellow brothers and sisters With our hobby it's extreme however with our extreme hobby comes extreme consequences. May The ones that we lost continue to ride in Paradise and God bless!!

It’s everywhere dude. I’m in Texas and I at least see 2 people died everyday…. Every single day. It’s actually sad but since I seen it so much for so long it’s become part of the bike life and feels like a normal thing now which is crazy. The only thing I can say is ride safe and stay within your limits don’t let peer pressure get the best of you or anyone else. 🤘

Sorry to hear about the loss of a fellow rider. To everyone who knew him, my condolences.
It's true it happens everywhere and can happen any time. Content creators can't say & stretch it enough, you are more fragile on a motorcycle and riding bikes is no child's play folks.
Respect the machine and the roads. Traffic too, but people in traffic need to respect other road users too. And not have a judgement when seeing a motorcycle or car speed by. Or See a lane split or filter from a bike. Legal or not, tone down. Let them continue on their merry way and do so yourself too. No one owns the road it's for every vehicle and civilian to use on the proper appointed spots.
I can never say it to much: stay and be safe as well as vigilant. Ride safe but have fun. Remind yourselves of your loved ones wanting to see you get back.

I just was hit not even 2 months ago from someone turning left and they smashed into the left side of me. Totaled my 2024 Busa, I only had 591 miles on it. I was pretty lucky. Minor bruising and very minor road rash on my knee and I had full gear on. Could have been a lot worse. It does piss me off to end that it happen but I also know that I am extremely lucky and I am thankful for that.

Bro..Glad to see your are healing. This might sound weird but I just wanna put it out there. That car that slow rolled you at the green light at that left turn. Might have " thought" and I stress "might" have thought you were flexing on them with you hand movements behind them. They dont know that your vlogging and talking with your hands in your vids. They could take your hand gestures while you "vlog"as you flexing on them just because they are in front of you while you do that at a red-light. Idk..just a though. Anyway stay safe. Love the Vids
