Originality: Future, also pay notice that when Ness responded with tuts it showed how difficult it is to throw them so if I was judging I wouldn't advice that strategy in opening like that. Ness dances to much like Pete or at its least as many others, in dancing being unique was always very important! Europa especially France they still think boogaloo is popping so it has nothing to do with France or use but with electric boogaloo! In dancing it is very important to be fresh but most of all to be yourself so Future took this!
Gotta say I don't know what the crowd or judges were looking at because DAMN. Ya for sure Future looks somewhat awkward but its because he is unorthodox. What he was doing was far more impressive, difficult, creative, and original. Future has presence and really battles too. Ness is solid with a very strong pop but it was super generic. His rounds looked like every other popper. The winner was clear and tbh maybe France just hasn't seen that kind of flavor/feel so they didn't recognize just how dope that was.
Future took it. Just my opinion. Here is my explanation: Physics - pretty the same, but Future showed more dynamics in different levels. Ness did also great but in dynamics that was like just 2 levels. Both showed great musicality but cuz of different dynamics Future showed more interesting musicality as well. In technique Future did much more diverse stuff, for me thats obvious. In a way of composition Future also was better, I could see bright beginning and tactics and he moved around whole battle ground (stage). Ness did forward and back. In general Future was much more diverse and for thats clear win.
I think future got this one. Much more vocabulary, groundmoves originality, and raw battle energy. I'll be honest that i may be missing an element that I cant see through video as popping is like that in regards to hits and really seeing the control. I remember seeing Jon Lock v.s Future in kings of New York, and Jon definitely won even though his sets were "simpler" than futures (no crazy ground moves and glides etc like Future) and it was those in person elements that stood out and made it clear Jon won. May be the same here.
I really feel like his second round was underwhelming, looked like he didn't really feel the song, even off beat at certain times. Battle wasn't that close imo

I think you may be looking at how he stopped a few times to glare down Ness which did interrupt the flow a bit, but that's a part of real battling.

Future top. I love both dancers. But c’mon guys , Ness 2nd round was in good funk feeling from the music and more freestyle then all these future’s moves. They were used like choreography 😅. They difficult and creative but music was far in deep feeling (only energy and beat control).
The decision of two judges should always override decision of one judge... Two draw votes should be a draw. Second round went to Ness but there should have been one more
Ness is the most overrated popper in the scene. Absolutely nothing stands out from him. I've never gone back to rewatch a round of his. Just basic popping and posing with some random weird leg moves here and there. Looks extremely tight and stiff. Makes zero sense how he wins anything or beats someone like future, especially in this battle.
Ness is solid in his popping, you probably dont understand that.. Ness has a lot of creativity, strong technic, but it's like People think that Ness has to prove that he can do, what People want to see...i dont see him, like many poppers who are searching for the "wooow" effect, big mooves, taking every part of a song... Ness used futures own tuts and concepts against him (not very well) and in a battle, that’s a big no in the culture. Also being musical is about bringing an expression and experience from what you hear in the music not necessarily detailing every little sound and beat killing the song to death. Future been doing those moves since 07 since Juste Debout.. Ness just used his tut material and didnt even carry his ideas out completely, he cuts it all short and then just goes back to the same popping he's always done.
