But the sequence at 8:48, even though it was crazy technical, felt too choreographed. The way he went to the ground, stopped and started the sequence is what made it look that way but the way he ended it was crazy at 8:53. Very strong round from Alex. Larry's entrance with signaling the stage being his house and "cutting Alex's head off" was dope and you could really see the battle mentality from him. In my opinion, of course, this round was very close but Alex's round was more consistent and he sets up his wow moments perfectly by building from a basic groove to more advanced ones while Larry kind of has wow moments at random. Overall, very good battle. Wasn't feeling that third round tho. I thought Alex would win without having to go 4 rounds since this was the Semi Finals, considering the fact that he is way more active in the battle scene and has much richer vocabulary. What is the name of that f*cking track from the Larry v Tight Eyex battle tho?? It's obviously a Gods Plan remix. Please... somebody must've dropped it by now 😂
I NEED the tracklist. Anyway GREAT battle, felt really inspired and motivated. It really could’ve gone either way and I was definitely not disappointed
The way Larry dances in the third round that they called a tie was a myth as he won that. Fairplay to the other guy and respect Larry for taking another L for no reason and keeping a smile on his face.
He is right it was for no reason because there should never have been a 4th round. Alex is good but he lost after the 3rd round, this was really bad judging in the 3rd round. The 4th round Alex killed it but you could see Larry wasn’t really in to it anymore after the 3rd
We all know Alex is incredible, he's also won many a battles. I think he greatly benefits from the fact that his style allows him to conserve energy in competitions. He can effortlessly glide on a beat without putting his ligaments in constant compromising positions. I also think Larry took Round 3, but it was great seeing each set from both dancers. 🤘🏾
great observation, i definitely agree. Other dancers have similar styles but they don't groove and/or have the groundwork like he does. I think Larry took round 3 as well
Agreed. Just my personal opinion, i also think Alex’s style is less “risky” in terms of moves to hit the beats. Some moves of Larry require absolute commitment on the beat, when it hits its amazing but when it doesn’t or when he miscalculates the beat , it obvious that it was a mistake. Its more high risk high reward but definitely more fun entertaining to watch, whereas Alex’s style allows him to recover easily and flows to the next section. He only pulls his power moves only when he is sure.
Insane that the last round's track is still not released, It was played at fusion concept 2019 and it's still not out 2 years later, I hope they release it soon :(...
Alex is a monster, I'm from Belgium... but i really believe Larry deserved to win the amount of control and creativity is insane and should have won in the last round! But hey 😑
This battle must have been hard as hell to judge, although i think it boiled down to style/battle preferences. Alex is a slow cook dancer IMO, he just keeps heating up until he hits critical mass and before you know you're amazed because he put a crazy combo together. Larry is high speed kinetic energy from the start, and he sets up combos that you never see coming. Mark Sonnen already had a great breakdown so i won't be too long winded lol. I PERSONALLY think that Larry took round 3, but i can see why it was a tie, neither one of them really did anything to CLEARLY win IMO. In Round 4 Alex was going for the kill and in his usual slow burn style he definitely set the tone. I think Larry was a bit too erratic and random, mostly because he was (visibly) winded, which is why i also think he cut his round short by 6 seconds. This was a FANTASTIC battle overall. I actually would like to see Les Twins and Alex as judges in future competitions, including Battle Bad. Some of these competitions have a habit of having judges that have never won anything (much less the actual event they're judging).
Alex looked like he thought his hair was going to win the battle for him. Larry destroyed him in my opinion except round 3🤔… But I can’t dance so there’s that lol🤷🏽♂️… I take it back it was a tie. First two to Larry last two to Alex lol.
This battle was tight, big ups to Alex and Larry but that track played in the fourth been out for YEARS now...... Tellax where are you at with this track or did he even make it!!!!??????????? RELEASE THE TRACK PLEASE!!!!!!
I watched them on tour. They were extremely busy and .ca straight into this battle. It was evident that he wasn't at his best. Still congratulations to Alex. I would love to see a rematch where Larry is his usual self.
I agree with most of the comments... Alex is good, but I wasn't impressed, also, I've seen better from Larry... that being said... Larry won, hands down
Coming back to this battle, I love how it's POLAR opposites of approaches and application in their style. I remember the twins were fresh off a Hennessey tour so it's sad to see we didnt see then at full strength. HOWEVER I loved this battle, this is when I really discovered Alex the Cage, and learned how lethal his approach is, it's like a slow cooker. It was so obvious that the judges were always there to give the victory to Alex, Batalla mainly, he is a friend of Alex. Larry, even tired, won, and he himself realized it, so he got discouraged. And they can put Alex vs Larry in various styles, Larry would win all of that I guarantee.
@@DKYtut This is false, Nelson ain't close with Les Twins. He actually doesn't like them at all. Also, just cause a dancer's from France don't mean they like Twins as evident by how they're treated by the dance community there. Kefton on the other hand is a friend of theirs.

Being from the old school 1980s, I have a lot of appreciation for Larry's precise and isolated movement, but it appears that this appreciation is not shared by younger viewers. In my opinion, Alex is a very good dancer, but Larry is at the elite level. In my mind, after round 2, the battle is over. Larry won.
🎯 im the same i danced in the 80's through 1999 I appreciate deeply Larry's preciseness and the technicality. I have 2 issues with this battle, #1 the selection of music was trash because it produced low energy for both dancers, #2 i felt the crowd being biased towards Cage, like he is doing basic moves and the crowd is oohing in awe as if he's doing something special. Meanwhile Larry is doing moves worthwhile of praise and the crowd is silent. I feel the level of success they have and just being dominant that some of the judges in these competitions award the other dancers to keep some type of balance. I dont like it but i understand. Larry didnt dominate but he didnt lose either.
@@watchyurmouf9601 @Aaron Carter in my opinion its a hip hop battle..its not the wow moves that wins battles like these...the crowd wasn't overhyped for alex he had a more consistent flow and looked more comfortable withing his style...larry is very technical and very precise but at the same time he had alot of resets....his individual movesets were clean but they weren't seamless....the only round where he had more of a consistent flow was round 1.
@@_wavy311_ yes the crowd was biased for Alex and the music fit to his style of dancing more than Larry's. Also the music selection produced low energy for both dancers that's why it went into overtime and in my opinion it should of been a draw.
Alex isn't even from that country how is it biased. Even one of the judges is part of the same crew as Larry. Imho Alex won because of his groove and sophistication ie polyrythm. All shapes and sizes.
When alex really feels the beat like he did the last one there's really nobody in the world who can match his creativity. Been watching him for 10 years and that set was still something new.

I know your comment is 2 years ago, but 2 years ago I also thought Larry won third round. But now, Both Alex and Larry did nothing in that round. it was a tie.
Exactly what I was thinking. People don't understand that level of difficulty. You can easily go off beat if you're slightly distracted. It was pleasing to see someone grooving, let loose and not just doing concepts. I enjoyed Alex's rounds better because of that.
the move at 7:08 showed me everyone was sleeping during larry's rounds. he shouldve won in the 3rd but ofc the comp will do whatever they can to have a more "unexpected" finale
The only one who lost in the 3rd round was the DJ. Come on youre meant to play something that gets the dancers hyped to entertain the crowd. Not saying it was a bad track but just bring it up a notch. I do agree on that move though, it was perfectly executed.

After watching this video at least 100 times, I think Larry lost because he was noticeably tired after the 3rd round. He was going too hard for a crowd that wasn't really listening to the beats. Although Alex Rocked The Stage. I like some of what he showed. Especially in the tiebreaker. I think he won the tiebreaker fairly. Good battle. Could've had a better selection of music though.
i dont think Larry was tired i believe the selection of music was trash and produced low energy for both dancers but Alex style of dance fitted the music better which gave him a rare of advantage over Larry. I thought the crowd was extremely biased for Alex but thats the nature of the culture.
It should have never gone to a tiebreaker. Larry clearly took rounds one and two, but the judges don't want to give him a shut out against Alex the crowd favorite.
He simply won because of that. He did something that only he can do. that deep breath before he started was like “Ok i got this!” And boy did he deliver!
He really was out Earth! From flow, the groove and his creative was on. He has the ability to create a lot; love the way he starts his rounds! Round 4 really connected with whoever was listening to the song and could, for a moment, share the flavor of Alex. This battle is so good to see. Respect above all, which is beautiful to see.🙌✊
Y’all tripping because it shouldn’t have even went this long. Larry smoked him that first round. Smoked. The second round or third wasn’t even close enough to edge that.
Larry’s reverse was elite. That alone was the 3rd round. But crowd influence is a deciding factor it seems so. Alex is my guy tho so, happy he won’t too. But Larry should of won.
@@thehoep exactly. The third round should have went to Larry because Alex got lazy asf that round and Larry was on beat the entire time that round. He also flowed better!
One good move doesn’t dictate a winner lol Larry could’ve gone way harder, he seemed tired even with the advantage of going second. He’d been battling that entire day. Alex was just better that night and more consistent.
They wont be released, forever.Bucause the DJ(tellax and neptune) has told me that if u want to feel this song, the only way u can do is inviting him to your event(battle, party, showcase or sth)

Gotta be like "Oh the twins don't have nothing to prove no more" or "Win or lose, it doesn't matter. All about fun." I only really see these comments when Larry/Lau lose a battle. Anytime they win, it's "They're freaking unbeatable. Their wins are indisputable. Easy". fan of both, but larry won the 3rd round by far, the 4th round was for Alex it was but larry still won the third in my opinion
The way Larry dances in the third round that they called a tie was a myth as he won that. Fairplay to the other guy and respect Larry for taking another L for no reason and keeping a smile on his face.
Did you just say "Fairplay to the other guy and respect Larry for taking another L for no reason". Google Alex the Cage and get familiar. loooooooool
It's quite obvious the dominance of Les Twins is taken as a handicap by the circuit.
Not to mention, alex wins more battles than any other dancer.
great observation, i definitely agree. Other dancers have similar styles but they don't groove and/or have the groundwork like he does. I think Larry took round 3 as well
@heh Weehe
No he just make it look easy, even when Alex does power moves, it looks effortlessly

@@mordekhaimakahanap890 don’t need to judge at last round, maybe you’re right but Larry won Round 3
Song 4 pls????
Yeah I went back and noticed round 3 but it is what it is. Very hard battle to judge and Alex went crazy on that tie breaker with that combo ...
Is it the story of your life ? Before i read
Alex looked like he thought his hair was going to win the battle for him. Larry destroyed him in my opinion except round 3🤔… But I can’t dance so there’s that lol🤷🏽♂️… I take it back it was a tie. First two to Larry last two to Alex lol.

while we all argue who won the round, does anyone know the last song?
