Many years back ( before I was old and decrepit) I was scrapping with the pack at Manu Bay because indicators was like this, and nek minute the rescue helicopter was plucking someone off the rocks at outside Indicators. Heard later it was a tow in guy getting a thorough pounding, his driver unable to get to him.
Well that was disappointing. Slow wave and closing out.. Not a single hack off the top, just riding the shoulder... and a board rescue of half a board...I was on the edge of my seat..
I surfed RAGLAN , in the late 60's , early 70's ...when we used to walk down to the break .. now they got parking at the point & dudes on wave scooters driving ya out to the break OMB ? ..
Sweet wakeboarding river-bro. It's barely double overhead. If you can't paddle out and catch waves with your bare hands, you don't belong out there. There's a reason most people don't surf. Because it's hard. And there's a reason most people don't surf big waves. Because it's really hard. And if it's not for you, stay on the beach where it's safe.
You have no idea aye? Ever been there? Ever paddled out in a 4/3 wetsuit gloves, boots and helmet, the water is always cloudy and it's Sharky as shit with great whites, the drift pushes down the point so by time your out the back at this size your a kilometre down the point and have to paddle directly out to sea to avoid the drift. As for the surfer do your fucking research bro. The Hawaiians all know who he is. JBG shakka him in the comments kook

Can someone tell why you'd surf this wave with a ski? Looks good for a paddle, it's hardly going too fast..
Give it a go without a ski pickup and see how you get on
Yes sir, westcoast the most
