I think the sad thing that most people don't realize is that blitzø actually really cares about stolas and maybe even loves him a little deep down but he thinks that stolas only wants him for s3x or doesn't care about him because hes a royal and thinks he could never be loved by him. Not to mention he lost his mother and his sister and probably feels like he's gonna be abandoned again if he lets stolas in.
Blitzo has some harsh traumas making him believe he isn't worth being loved, and oh boy have I been there

It’s weird to realize how calm and almost cocky Stolas was when he was first kidnapped, but I think it was because he was so confident that Blitzø would save him. (similar to the loo loo land episode)
He only got scared when he thought Blitzø wasn’t coming.
It is actually sad when you think of the parallelism from both episodes: Stolas was saved by Millie and Moxxie because Blitzø was busy with his own stuff.
But, unlike that episode, Stolas couldn't defend himself. He needed to be saved, and he wanted Blitzø to be the one doing it... 😢
Blitz is say, he CANT go
but that last line “He can get hurt?” says a lot. Blitz was under the impression that Stolas was so powerful he could NEVER really get hurt (which is why he didn’t go himself). And now that Stolas WAS hurt (and that he can possibly be killed), it’s obviously going to have him rethink things as he has to reevaluate some things for himself now.
Also, if you look at the texts at the end, Stolas was the initiator of the convos. This was the first time Blitz initiated the convo (and probably wasn’t work related or a booty call). And the typing bubble that never has another text come in shows it’s still an uphill battle as he obviously has difficulties talking about feelings, but he’s trying.
I think it was more like that tactic from the truth seekers, where he keeps pretending to be obnoxious until Striker gets so frustrated he stops thinkin clearly.
Please no. I'm a fan of Stolitz, but I'm getting sick and tired of Stolas fans acting like there is no class/power imbalance between the two. Blitz cares about Stolas but his daughter Loona is important too. And unlike Stolas, a prince who everyone dropped everything and their mother for, Blitz doesn't get that luxury. He had to wait 5 years for this important appointment for Loona. Hell Blitz started blasting the car when he heard Striker on the line and only relented when M&M said they would handle it. Blitz isn't perfect, the texts show that, but he didn't leave Stolas high and dry.

That really made my heart sink, Blitzø never even once considered how Stolas might feel throughout their relationship, he felt like “he’s an immortal prince, he’ll get over it”. But it took Stolas to genuinely get physically hurt for Blitzø to realize that he isn’t unbreakable, even if he never saw how much he suffered mentally, he is finally starting to realize that he’s in pain.

its all under the mindset that Cash Buckzo got Blitz into. Hearing from his dad that royal folk are immortal, doesnt care much, have no emotions etc formed Blitz's mind.. Dating Veronica might have proved rich snotty fucks in his brain, that he thought Stolas was like that too. But him (stolas) getting physically hurt, made Blitz question a bit, got surprised, was bit guilty that he didnt believe for a sec about stolas really being in distress (because we've seen that stolas can fake being a damsel in distress mode for Blitz to come and save him), then was a bit sad and left a text (he couldnt find words to continue.).
t is true they would even have a very nice relationship but the problem is that blitzø is afraid to open his heart and face the problems of love or relationship, the truth is very sad

I mean you saw what Stolas did to the humans that kidnapped Blitzo and Moxie, he's typically more powerful than the rest of them combined.

Probably kind of obvious but something I noticed at the end when Stolas was scrolling through texts with Blitzø, Stolas's texts were always long, full sentences while Blitzø responded with abbreviations and seemingly little thought. I am SO waiting for the moment where Blitzø realizes that he's been hurting Stolas and FIXES IT
I just noticed that Stolas, since Season 1 Episode 7, has referred to Blitzø more and more as just Blitz rather than Blitzy... Like the pet name isn't entirely removed from his speech, but I feel like he used to exclusively refer to him by that pet name and now he uses the normal name very often.

@@samuraitadpole5459 in every show I watch in one episode people learn a lesson move on and forget but In hellouva boss everyone’s actions have long lasting affects that they have to deal with and this is present in every episode hellouva boss has such good and amazing writers voice actors animators and directors with talent and passion I haven’t seen in a while and all they need is more of a budget but even for the small budget they have there still making better content and episodes than other shows hellouva boss is better than 80% of the stuff that’s on Hulu or Netflix so when I watch an episode and finish I don’t want to hurry the writers and animators because when there in a rush it makes something sloppy and unpolished so I don’t rush creators because If you give them time you can watch there work slowly grow from hazbin hotels 45 minutes in 4 years all the way to 3 or 4 hellouva a boss episodes in 5 months for an hour of work but it’s still going to be good work because this is the first animated show I’ve seen that put quality over quantity

Based off of the texts between Blitzø and Stolas, Stolas keeps trying to initiate events like hanging out or catching up together, but Blitzø keeps brushing him off. I think that since Blitzø realized that Stolas can get hurt, he'll start trying to be there more and figure out his feelings.
I think he might become more distant if anything, Blitz doesn’t like to feel hurt, to be hurt by someone else, which is why he is distant and doesn’t do relationships

Yeah reading threw the texts seem Stolas is kind of walking on eggshells. He threw everything away for Blitzo, albeit he hated all of it.
That last text from Blitzo showed more emotion and care than any of his previous texts together.
I'm not sure about those flowers falling. I know Stolas has a penchant for dangerous, poisons, and probably venemous plants. I'm guessing the upper echelon know that about him, and all sent him a generic one or the most expensive one. The petals fell too many times in focus to be just coincidence. Think Stolas is getting more hardened. That plant without flowers is just eyeball and spikes.
Think we are finally brewing up to a real couple fight with stolas and blitzo. Hopefully ending well.

Gawd though...just that "He can get hurt?" at the end. That recontextualized the entire episode so much. Realizing that the reason Blitzo didn't put any urgency on helping Stolas was because he never actually believed that someone as powerful as him could _need_ the help, and hearing the shock and fear in his voice when he realized that wasn't the case? That's amazing storytelling out of such a short line.

Well, Stolas did keep him around mainly for sex and one sided attempts of romance and friendship.
Also, the last time stolas asked for blitz help to save his life (S1 ep2 I believe) it was demonstrated at the end that he never really needed a bodyguard. So under normal circumstances, blitz would've been right.

Being used like this SUCKS. And when someone won't communicate when u hit a nerve and they pretend they're just fine... yet distance or take it out on you, they're the ones dooming the relationship (and that lack of communication leads to self blame and walking shit back like Stolas did, Stolas is even downplaying HIS OWN feelings to match how Blitz is acting!). What I love about Stolas is that, despite all the h*rny goofball appearance, the show makes sure to remind the audience that there's a reason he's mentioned in the Keys of Solomon.
I mean, the dude (at least within the show's cannon) is the son of the main villain from Hereditary, and could probably handle himself against the main villains from the Conjuring series (as well as probably chill with Pazuzzu to joke about how he got trapped as a small girl in the '70s). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Bro, the quality in this was exceptional. The flowers around Stolas’s bed. The detail and attention to Striker’s eyes. Loona’s emotions. Everything in this was amazing. It’s like the already good quality tripled in detail.
Theory: I remember watching a movie or TV show with petals on a flower falling off as a character was dying or something. When there were no petals left, that character died. Here, it could possibly mean that Stolas died. And if you listen closely to the brief interval between the song at the end, you can hear something similar to a flatline.

For some people who are wondering loona is scared of shots because when dogs where euthanized at her pund they went to the vet an never came back. She is scared of shots also but I'm guessing that is the main thing

Yeah. I️ wish he weren’t so emotionally constipated that he thought he wasn’t deserving of love and would just end up hurting people he cared about. Both in terms of love and *checks notes* accidentally setting them on fire. What was it that Acid Trip Stolas said in Truth Seekers? Something about how Blitz fears intimacy but simultaneously craves it (which is part of the reason he’s so obsessed with stalking M&M). But instead of visiting him he just continued to tell himself some kind of bullshit
After knowing he thought for so long that fizz turned him away when he went to visit him in the hospital maybe that’s why he avoided even trying to actually see stolas

4. The fact that blitz insults the lady at the hospital for not knowing how to read or spell, When he cant do either well either.

that "He can get hurt?" was more emotion and honest reality then most shows ever have. the fact blitz couldn't honestly fathom Stolas getting hurt explains so much about how he acts toward him. he sees him so much beyond himself that of course he couldn't honestly believe Stolas actually holds real interest in him beyond using him for killing and screwing.

stolas' texts to blitzo and the utter lack of response from blitzo and the constant apologizing and the constant attempts to just spend normal time with blitzo is so sad. you can see so clearly how much stolas is moving away from the sexual aspect of their relationship and how he is genuinely trying to form a closer bond with blitzo outside of sex. simply yearning to just be around him and molding to what blitzo wants, asking him what he wants to do, reassuring him that it's fine if he's tired, waiting on him, and catering to what blitzo wants even if stolas wants more because stolas doesnt want to scare him off or make blitzo uncomfortable. those text messages are just really sad to read and become even sadder upon reading blitzo's one word/zero depth/short hand replies

The messages, tailoring our time around his routine, apologizing first when things went south… I still can’t help but blame myself for things ending. I guess my thoughts are more past-tense now, but it’s still similar, “did he love me at all?”

funny enough when we finally broke up, they said that they wanna continue being friends and so I said sure at first, but then I thought about it and I told myself why should I be putting my time and energy into someone who clearly doesn't care about having any type of relationship with me, so I basically tested them and I didn't send any more text as soon as I stop they never texted me again and that really just put into perspective how little they cared about me, it's heartbreaking but it was damn necessary

Why has noone pointed out that Blitzo might actually got really drunk because he felt so much chame for not being the one saving Stolas? because it makes sense... he walked away from Fizzerali when he would have needed him in that burning circus. And he thought for a long time, that fizz hated him for that. So why should he think that Stolas Respje would be any other than being angry at Blitz? And Blitz doesn't realize, that yes, maybe he underestimated the actual danger of that situation, but that things like that can happen. I think he is feeling so guilty, that he hasn't any courage to go see Stolas because of exaclty what happened in this episode. Even if he might have already relized that Stolas was showing interest in more than sex.
I love that Mox is outnumbered and half their size and he’s just like whatever and casually wastes the lot of them.

it likely won't. Blitz I don't think has ever considered a situation where Stolas wouldn't be there. Lore wise it seems Stolas is all but a GOD within Hell so the concept of "hurting" him in any way shape or form likely doesn't even occur to Blitz, and as far as their relationship I also don't think Blitz sees it as such, his life has been full of people using him so I don't think he's ever processed WHAT he actually FEELS for Stolas. This moment I think really kinda shook Blitz and his worldview and I expect we'll see him struggling with some stuff emotionally here soon. It's clear there's SOMETHING there, but whether or not Blitz knows how to express that without the crippling fear of getting hurt I don't know. I see the two working incredibly well together but they both need to understand where the other is coming from

Stolas says multiple times, "we don't have to do anything if you don't want" or something along those lines. ("If you don't feel like coming, that's okay! I'm sure I can do without it for one month :)", "I know you've been busy and working hard. Maybe if you'd prefer, we can skip the bedroom and just relax, maybe? I'm sure you need a break.", and "If you're not up for it, or too tired, that is perfectly fine. No pressure." 17:26) He wants Blitzø to know that he values him for more than the sex they have and genuinely cares about him. The way that Stolas writes these long paragraphs to make sure Blitzø has reassurance is so adorable. Also, how Blitzø writes short responses, which probably hints to the face that he doesn't really know how to show love to the people he cares about. He still wants to show Stolas he cares, and he lets Stolas do what he's comfortable with. He also doesn't force anything, ("Wutevr u want. Its ur night" 17:26) and I really appreciate these small details. Thanks Vivzie and team :)

You forgot to mention how dry Blitz was being in those messages, as well as ignore him. The fact he cant show love isn't Stolas's fault. He deserves better and should stop that "situationship". I think Blitzo has shown more love to a married couple over the guy who gives him all the validation and reaffirmation in the world.
Someone mentioned in replies that it comes off as dismissive. While I can see that perspective and possibly agreed before the episode Ozzie’s it’s just not true. The way Blitz looked at the realization that Stolas was hurt…that’s not someone who doesn’t care or is dismissive, that’s someone who feels conflicted.
I read the texts too, it seems holsom and also shows what happened between them after the the show of Asmos. It also tells us that they handled things in person or through text off screen. It makes things comforting for us to know that it's not just something they are avoiding. Also took note of his expression of him finding out he was hurt. He clearly wanted to go see him but hesitated
This episode was so emotional. Stolas’s fading grin when Blitzø didn’t text him back, Blitzø’s realization that his owl could be hurt, and those unspoken feelings. Great job Viv. 😢❤

Andrealphus lives in an ice palace in a frozen environment. So Hell quite literally froze over before Blitzø and Stolas talked about their feelings.
Reading their texts, their dynamic is so sad. Stolas puts so much heart and thought into his messages, while Blitzø just says something along the lines of “lol ok”
Tbh he’s not one for talking about sincere feelings, he’s bad at spelling and grammar, and it’s always so much harder typing those things out than saying them out loud (which he already struggles with). It involves thinking through what you want to say and reading the words rather than simply throwing them out there. Add to that his usual bluntness and I’m sure that’s why his texts come across that way lol
his texts remind me of the way a lot of men text. especially if they are dyslexic. the guy could be the smartest, funniest person irl, but just doesn't have the textual communication skills. it's a really nice detail, and shows his lack of formal education and communication issues both general and emotional, hints to his childhood trauma, and drives home that there's something else that went down when he was younger that we don't know about yet, all in a couple of seconds. this is why I love this show!!

The 'he can get hurt?' line really gives a new dimension to the Blitz-Stolas relationship for me. I always found it weird that Blitz seemed kinda indifferent towards Stolas' feelings, even though he obviously cared about him. Now I'm wondering whether Blitz just thought Stolas couldn't get hurt physically or emotionally. Definitely my favorite episode of s2, this was amazing!
With how powerful and high up Stolas is it's easy to be given the illusion that he's invincible or at least too strong. When pain actually happens though? The realization just hurts.
he probably jsut took hm for granteed alongside his beleif Stolas jsut wanted him sexually and nothing else. It may take a while longer for him to really come to grips with the situation, especially if the theories about stolas breaking the relationship holds true.
He actually seems to have the same realization with Verosika at Ozzie's when she says he broke her heart. Also with Moxxie during Truth Seekers when he finally gives Mox some recognition after being yelled at about it and having been given truth serum.
He seems totally unaware of how his actions hurt those he cares about and keeps running into situations forcing him to acknowledge it.
To me it only seems like when the thought of your loved ones getting hurt seems unreal .
Well, he uses bear traps on him for fun times. Stolas is effectively immortal... unless it's blessed weapons, a high-up angel, and possibly a REALLY high-up demon.
What really underscores this is how even Stolas didn't believe he was in danger at first. His powers and privilege have always kept him safe from serious physical harm.

A well represented conversation between someone that try to not be as hurtfull as possible, lying that he's okay when is not, and another who doesnt want to open up yet cause of the fear to be hurt.
Theyre relationship is so complexe but still isnt completely broken or hopeless. I like to see that and how they will evolve to turn it into something more healthy, even if its not romantic.
It show a more "real"/not perfect approach of emotion and romance that can give hope to spectators who find themselves stuck into the same position

This episode's finale hit me right in the feels. The fact that Blitzø was replying and then stopped writing, and Stolas' reaction... Not to mention that the music we hear at the end it's the same we hear in S01E07, when Stolas cries on the stairs in front of his home. Beautiful detail, it's like a sort of "Love theme", a leitmotiv.
This just broke my heart and made me cry seeing stello all like this and blitzo not going to see him😢😔

I agree! Since the Stolas apparition on the living world showing how strong and powerful he is, I think Blitz see's Stolas as invencible, but knowing that Stolas can actually get hurt may change their relationship and the way Blitz treat Stolas

this is just my opinion and you can disagree, but i honestly thought that line was extremely weird. like it completely forgot about the entire plotline of episode five where moxxie and blitz knew that striker had the capability to kill him and hurt him.

Think about it, Stolas is of the Ars Goetia, higher class royalty. Of course they'd know they can be harmed or killed. Just, getting blessed weapons isn't the easiest since, only Striker has used them so it's more likely he never expected someone to have blessed weapons.

It most likely because Blitz believe he’s a strong powerful prince, he can take of himself. Also wanted to take care of Loona. He then realize that it doesn’t matter if Stolas has powers or is a prince, he’s still a person that can get hurt.
Blitz probably felt guilt he didn’t take it seriously. Now it brought up painful memories of either his mother or fizz at the hospital.
