UA-cam lessons begin and end here with Swift lessons. Ive been frequenting the tube for twelve years for inspiring and constructive lessons and this guy is the best.
Thank you so very much. I am 63, learning guitar since 2017 and just started writing a song. I have a brand new Fender, my third but most awesome baby, name of Taco. We needed this strumming lesson so much, it is the final piece to push my hard woven notes forward to lovely melodies. And yes, sir, my song IS about cats. Har har and thanks again. Bye for now. Jenn and MiMi, Callie and Radish
Dude! I’ve been searching a video to understand these fundamentals and could only find watered down version. This channel is a Gem and underrated, hope to Seya on my recommendations. Thanks!
wish i had met you earlier,70 years old now , i can only listen and relish your skills. perhaps the newer generation can make use of a teacher like you..all the best

Thank you so much, friend. 👍👍👍Videos like this are the best for me. It is exactly what I want to learn. I thank you from my heart. Greetings from Cuba.
Congratulations for 500 k subscribers sir. You are the best guitar teacher on youtube i can bet. You lessons have been so much helpful to me. Keep posting kudos
Glad to see Faith guitars are catching on stateside. No I don't work for the firm, just own one. Great value for money all solid lovely sounding easy to play guitars. A UK based company too. I could have done with this lesson years ago. Many thanks :-)
Thanks for this lesson! I'm honest, rhythm, strumming steadily and comfortably are still an issue. The "steadily" part. It's harder than it seems in the beginning... Thanks again for showing the way! 🎵🎵🎵
Incredibly valuable lesson....Thank you....I get the patterns. I still get my pick stuck between strings on upstrokes...guess in time and practice I will get it.....Again many thanks....
Thank u mate I’ve been playing piano over 25 years and guitar for around the same but not as much as the piano due to an injury to my right hand which left me no feeling in my index finger . Could u possibly make a video with letting me know a way of strumming without the pick but also using maybe another way of holding my pick or not holding it and maybe using a different finger Than my index finger as sometimes it knocks my timing off which is frustrating . Thank you
Hmmm, I'm sure I can think of something. It's a tricky thing to teach because so much that goes into riff writing is dependent on a persons creativity, musical experience, and what they've been exposed to. When I write riffs, I usually hum until I find something cool, then find it on the guitar. The sounds I hear in my head are a byproduct of many years of listening to rock and roll, jamming, and learning songs.
Hey Pamela, you’ll see that I have added cards suggesting song tutorials for each pattern, except the last, I haven’t taught a beginner song that uses it yet.
Probably the best musical tutorials I’ve seen online. Well done
This channel is grossly underrated and should be over 1 mil subscribers by now.

Just EXCELLENT.....
Hey Rob, could you do a video teaching how to create a riff?

my guitar doesnt really sound like yours on country pattern, can you give some tips to make it sound more country? ty :)
Hey, do you have any courses or is it just lessons on your patreon?
Can you give songs examples for each pattern? That would be very helpful
Hey Pamela, you’ll see that I have added cards suggesting song tutorials for each pattern, except the last, I haven’t taught a beginner song that uses it yet.
Where can I have your online lessons from ....
Beginner to advance level.
Is there an exercise for developing timing two notes per beat?
Best advice I can offer is to practice to a metronome, tap your foot and count out loud.
@@swiftlessons Thank you for the quick reply!
Pattern 5 is as Creedence Clearwater Revival as it gets.
Love hurts Nazareth please
