- Extended cut of the Mega Man 3 intro music, just because I like it! (Super extended version here - • Mega Man 3 (NES) - Int... ) - The music is looped 5 times and then fades out. Definitely one of my favorite introduction themes in video game music B-) This is a still image video, so this is mostly just something for you to listen to :) Mega Man III (along with MM1) had no introduction animation sequences, so this actually is what occurs when you boot up the game (up until the point where you see BubbleBobble). If you have any requests for extended NES or SNES music, I can do my best to put it up for you B-)

This is the definitive theme I would choose for Mega Man's character.
When I wrote this I totally forgot about the opening to Mega Man 2. Mega Man 2's is iconic, but this one is a bit more "epic".
+WilloftheNinja I like to think anything Mega Man 1-6 is just awesome by default (music-wise) - lots of innovative stuff going on IMO B-) Mega Man 2 had epic robot master stage music, maybe even slightly moreso than 3, but ummm now I'm rambling for no reason - yay for MM2 and 3 and stuff!
The first notes from this theme are included in X5’s X versus Zero battle theme. A nod to the original series, stressing Wily was Zero’s creator.

Those early mega man title screen/intros were too fucking good. Mega Man 2 and 3 especially. It's like they knew how to mix somber/badass into a nostalgic mix that NEVER gets old

This brings me right back to that hot summer of 1992. no air conditioning, just a giant box fan blowing on me so I didn't overheat while I played this.
If you know the 5 countries of NY (we call them boroughs) you'll know how fast Queens is from Brooklyn. I traveled over an hour to my friend's house in Queens so I could spend the weekend and we could work on beating this game. Eventually even his dad got into it!

Nintendo developers honestly pushed the audio software past its limits back then. We got amazing gems like the Megaman OSTs, the original Final Fantasy theme which set the stage for the entire franchise of music to follow, practically every Mario game pays homage to the original NES theme.
It had classics, not just in the games themselves but in the immense amount of music that came from them.
And it will be that way forever

This is by far my favorite NES Intro theme of all time. Most people would argue Zelda, but I prefer this song.

I've always love the simplicity coupled with the cue of the music. No additional details needed. You know what game series you're playing. You know who you're playing as. You know the objective. You know the drill. You know why you're there. Simply put, no introduction is needed. It's Mega Man 3 babyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
The thing is they had 8 bits and a shitty soundchip back in the day, but nevertheless came up with games and soundtracks that blew our minds out

the way the title has its transition from the license alongside with this music is just waaaaaaaaaaay too perfect. I know it is so simple and there are other videogames with big ass graphics and tons of orchesta but still this is my favorite intro both visually and musically and I still don't understand how this intro beats anyone else

I listen to this song on loop while doing homework and it actually helps me concentrate for some reason. I love the song, but my favorite part is the first 30 secs and the extended versions make me wait 15 mins before I can hear the best part of the song again. Megaman 2 introduced me into the series and It was a fun time. But god damn 3 is my favorite so far. Good levels, great design of the Robot Masters and one hell of a soundtrack. Seriously, everytime i hear this my mind knows I'm gonna have fun.

i never played Mega Man 3 on the NES, only Mega Man 2. But i have to say this theme is fantastic. 2 or 3, i can't decide which is better, they are both great.
they were both equally great to me, especially the music soundtracks, but definitely the gameplay/graphics - 2 for its novelty and 3 for even better gameplay than the previous, like the crucial addition of the powerslide, going faster up ladders, etc. glad you enjoyed B-)

Reminds me of when I was a lot younger, and was just getting into Megaman. I remember playing all sorts of Megaman fangames and watching flash animations on 144p from my shitty internet on new grounds. One of my favorites had this theme in it. Hearing it again has made me happier than I have been in years.

I like how in MM2 you have a whole intro where it cuts to MM standing atop a roof with rocking music but in this one it feels like all hope is lost cause it’s just a soft cut into the title screen...that’s all with this somber like music playing
