Slade - My Oh My (Supercool) (1983) (HD)

- The more quieter and mellower side of Slade (ok perhaps not so much quieter but definitely mellower) this time performing on the Belgian TV show "Supercool" from 1983 with the vintage track "My Oh My"... :-)
Cleaned Up, Sharpened Up & Redubbed with a crisp clean soundtrack... enjoy... :-)
A wee message to all you sad deluded braid dead whinging whining imbeciles out there and your endless mind numbing moronic "playback" comments...
If you are so thick as shite that you can't grasp the simple fact that almost all of these TV appearances back in the day were mimed and lip synced too, let alone grasp the fact that nowhere in the videos title does it say it's "live" nor even give the merest hint that it might be live, then sadly for you that self imposed ignorance is your own fault and neither I nor anyone else cares one iota that you don't like mimed/ lip synced videos...
So don't waste your time posting such utter pish as you will be ridiculed personally by me for doing so, then sent to the arse end of cyberspace where you can whine whinge and wibble to your sad wee hearts content and where no one else can see your inane sad attention seeking posts... :-)
Oh yeah, nearly forgot, just shut the feck up fer gads sake and enjoy the music instead of making arseholes of yourselves, ta very glad... :-)
Ya what he said...
Don't hold back brother
@@randyroberts1948 Hmmm... perhaps you are right, I did kinda make that post a wee bit timid I suppose, must be going soft in my auld age or perhaps I mixed up the dogs meds with mine as he always seems quite mellow after he gets his meds and licks the postman instead of biting him...
Ah well, it'll do for now and it seems to have worked, no more sea of endless mind numbing shite about freekin "playback"... :-)
Off now to shout through the letterbox at passersby. Mind you I don't get many passersby these days, probably due to that Covid thingy going about or they've passed by once before and decided, never again... :-o
Proper rant 👍
How refreshingly honest….nice one…hehe…..damn fine band
Noddy has a unique voice. Try to sing any Slade song and it's impossible. Great one Frank!
They were way underrated I had a couple of their albums
Erm... dunno where you get the bizarre idea that Slade were "Underrated" !!! but rest assured they where not...
Heck, Slade are one of the biggest, most popular and most well known UK bands of all time and their fame and popularity spreads right across the globe...
Methinks you clearly don't know much about Slade...
@@fintanhughes1639 Who are these "Rip Off artists" you speak of ???
Can't be Slade as they wrote all their own songs and had a very unique sound and style, especially Noddy's vocals...
Can't be Mott The Hoople as Bowie wrote that song specifically with them in mind and they didn't ask him to write it...
So just who are these rip off artists and why do you think they are that ???
@@MadFranko008 they were underrated in the US, I know they were popular in the UK
@@fintanhughes1639 "Perplexed" !!! NAH... "Confused" !!! NOPE...
You are confusing those mistaken delusions you have of me with what I actually feel about your crackpot words/ opinions which is in fact "Hysterical Mirth" combined with a wee bit of "Sympathy/ Pity" for someone (that someone being YOU of course) who clearly isn't quite the full shilling... ;-)
No one asked you for an "Apology"!!!, no one needs an "Apology" from you !!! in fact you ARE AN "APOLOGY" of a human being with your bizarre hypocritical "WORSHIP" of Bolan and your sad moronic deluded self imposed ignorance that you somehow (incorrectly of course) think anyone mentioning the name a a band/ group in a reply to you must be in your demented mind "Worshipping" them ...
Now off you go, take yer meds and kneel down in front of the Bolan poster on your wall and drift off back to Lalaland from whence you came... there's a good little raving loony tune... ;-)
I first heard this song when I was 8 years old. I started crying. I just wanted to be loved and have someone to talk.
😢
This is a masterpiece , one of the greatest pop songs ever ! noddys vocal is stunning on this.
the Passion , Power, Emotion he put in to this song, both Live and in studio is chilling , you can tell this song has a deep meaning to him, I've always listen this song when I've had a super Crappy day or have lost someone dear...
Queen.
Great greetings to all of us who still love the best music in the world, a hug from the end of the world to everyone
Slade never got the notoriety and success they deserved.
One of their very best.
A timeless classic. One of the greatest piano power ballads of all time!
Noddy had the best rock voice in the business. One of the greatest bands of the 70s for sure
Hey I'm over 60 and still love this music 🎶
Noddy certainly had a great voice, but why did he sell-out by giving pathetic lip-syncing appearances, as is shown in this video, and plenty of others too?
@@True_Christian
It’s either that or no tv-time at all.
Is it really so hard to understand?
What a great song. Slade rocks!
This song just needs the right show or movie moment to bring it into the spotlight. Hidden gem.
How could anybody not LOVE this song ?? !!!!
This song needs to be played on Radio stations across the globe especially during this pandemic outbreak
Yep totally agree sir ✌️
Earth is not a "globe."
Die schönste Zeit mit den besten Songs, die 80er!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sadly...Slade was hugely underrated here in North America. They were a great band...far ahead of their day. I've bought several of their releases over the years - my favorite probably Rogues Gallery. Still play it occasionally cruisin' around in the car.
The word you are looking for is underappreciated. Americans didn't appreciate Slade's music the way the rest of the world did.
There is the best voice in rock the one and only Noddy holder and slade keep on rocking
*SLADE ... British classic rock music, an old, stylish but never rusty and never rotten !!!!* :o)
Tack !!😃🤗❤️🇸🇪
To jest arcydzieło muzyczne lat 80 tych. SLADE rules !!!!!!✌️💪👑
Lovely song from Slade, with a lot of meaning.
A beautiful anthem. I remember hearing this song when it first came out back when I was a little boy. It got me choked up then and it still does to this day. Incredible lyrics, great melody, and what a message for hope and brotherhood. May God bless you all.
Thank you Noddy for your great voice 🙏
Great Song forever!!!!!!!❤
Great message for those troubled at any time 🙏
I always wanted to play with SLADE. They are great band - Ritchie Blackmore...
slade were without doubt, the best live group, of the 70,s, early 80,s no one comes close, should have done live aid, would have stole the show,
Can you just imagine them at Live Aid ! They would have blown the place apart with there 3 songs, open up with COFTN, then straight into 'Coz I Luv you' to get the crowd singing, and finish off with a blistering version of Mama weer all crazee now..........Good night !!

What a thought. That would have been amazing.
I believe in woman, my oh my
I believe in lovin', my oh my
Don't a woman need a man?
Try and catch one if you can
I believe in woman, my oh my
We all need someone to talk to, my oh my
We all need someone to talk to, my oh my
You need a shoulder to cry on
Call me, I'll be standing by
We all need someone to talk to, my oh my
We all need a lotta lovin', my oh my
Yeah, and whole lotta lovin', my oh my
I can lend a helping hand
If you ain't got nothing planned
We all need some lovin', my oh my
Oh, yeah
Oh
Yeah
So let's all swing together, my oh my
We can all swing together, my oh my
You've got troubles of your own
No need to face them all alone
We can all swing together, my oh my
So let's all pull together, my oh my
Yeah, let's all pull together, my oh my
We can ride the stormy weather
If we all get out and try
So let's all pull together, my oh my
Yeah, let's all pull together, my oh my
What a singer Noddy is. Nobody today comes close.
No... He's in a league of his own ..!!! 👍❤
Saudades. Sonzaço !!!!!!!!! Sonzaço !!!!!!!!!
Lets all pull together ❤....long gone arm yourself for whats coming my english comrades
Erm... what exactly do you think is coming ? and why do you think the English are your "comrades" ?
PS:And what has any of that got to do with this song ??? 🧐
The jihadi hordes
Having seen them live in early 70s, these guys were good, very good. They still make me smile.
Like all great music that stands the test of time then it's quite simply is its sound that makes it be appreciated throughout a lifetime or from generation to generation...
You don't have to understand the lyrics, the tempo can be slow and leisurely or fast and furious, it can be quiet or loud and thumping or even just an instrumental with no lyrics...
The only thing that matters with any great piece of music or a song is that it is enjoyable to your ears and that it brings you pleasure and that is what makes the greatest must stand the test of time... 😉
I had this cassette..way back in the day to play on my radio shack deck and booster eq playing through pioneer 6x9s..it was almost religious
fantastic! my second slade single after we'll bring the house down and a triumphant return to (nearly) the top. my third was run runaway ;-)
Great stage design, too! Very forward-looking.
Rock ballad number one of all time world
Lovely song from a legendary band.
I've always adored them and will always do. The spelling of some songs "Coz I luv you", "Look wot you dun", "Mama weer all crazee now"...makes them even more real, dk...anyway this song is legend!
Bravo, love this.
Best of The Best!
Super, super the song's Slade! Slade forever, we want Slade yesterday, today, tomorrow!
Slade - my favorite band from 1971 and onwards.
Jimmy Lea - a composer legend -
Noddy Holder - lyricist and glorious frontman with a very distinctive voice -
Dave Hill - strong guitarist, with his very own sound
Don Powell - steady and skilled drummer
I still get the goosebumps!
Great thanks to MadFranko for this upload!!
You're welcome mate, glad you enjoyed it... :-)
noddy holder the voice off rock.keep on rocking m8.
The great band AC/DC wanted the great Noddy to be lead singer....no higher tribute is needed!
Hey Dad. What was Friday night like when you were 16? I play this. It was a glorious time ❤️
This is a GREAT! video of a GREAT SONG by a GREAT BAND!!! thanks...
You're welcome Roger, glad you enjoyed it and you are of course 100% correct... :-)
Great, timeless song from the wonderful 70’s❤️
Nice one Frank and the boys from Slade. Seem like a nice bunch to hang with. Never a truer word spoken 'We all need someone to talk to.' Best to all👍👍
Great singer great band. Noddy used to take led zeppelin to gigs in his dad's ice cream van for gigs. Bet u didn't know that. Look it up
Brilliant band best of the 70s
You just lost that bet in that case.... plus it was his Dads window cleaning van and not an ice cream van... so what did I win in this wee bet that you just lost ??? ;-)
I loved this band since I was a kid and remember my brother and his mates all skinheads at the time going crazy over them wonderful times will never get back thanks for posting and bringing back great memories for me
You're welcome mate glad it brought back some memories for you which coincidentally kinda match my own...
I was about 6 at the time when Slade where in their Skinhead era but all around where these "big" teenage Skinheads forever talking about Slade and gathered outside the close where Jesse Morgan lived 2 stories up in the old tenement buildings where we lived in Glasgow, he used to have his record player speaker sitting outside balanced on the window ledge blaring out Slade and all the other great music of the era... :-)
Can still see (and hear) that clear as day all these decades later, great times that I wouldn't swap for the world... :-)
Another great Slade song.😁
ALL Slade songs are great... ;-)
A song rolling Christmas, New Year and Hogmanay melancholy together. It makes you feel like folding yourself into the arms of the one you love and melt away.
Thanks for posting.
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it... :-)
Amazing!👍👍👍

22/23 Song of 2023
Isso sim que é música.
Nice The supercool
been strumming this on the guitar all day. and where do i find the best video on youtube. right here of course!
Only ever played the keyboards/ piano myself, always wanted to be able to play the guitar (especially acoustic) but alas my big "piano fingers" made that impossible, hence choosing the keyboard instead... 😊
I like them for long time
I forgot about this song 👍
great videos that your doing thanks keep em coming 👍
Cheers and you're welcome Malcolm, glad you're enjoying the videos round here... 😃
classic slade.
Thanks so much for posting!
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it... :-)
If Rod Stewart and Freddie Mercury's genes were spliced together, you get Noddy.
Top thanks!
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it... :-)
temasoooooooooooooooooo viva los 80
My funeral song...
A maior banda que já existiu
VOCALISTA SENSACIONAL....
Bom Demais ... show man !!!
Thanks for this , Frank.
My memories are of earlier Slade, about a decade before. I had no idea why this band I really liked seemed to have vanished. (Don Powell's accident? But he didn't write the killer songs.) But the old disappearing act seemed to happen a bit with musicians then. Less so with the crap ones , sadly.
So on seeing this, I was at first trivially astonished and then impressed by Noddy's fabulous tasteful eighties curls, amazed and then impressed by Dave's glossy bob and well-tailored facial hair.
Then, I didn't mind the song at all , despite the tastefully correct spelling. At first it seemed maybe a bit AOR but also so much better than about 99% of that genre. Melodic, and without cringeworthy lyrics whining about some terrible Jezebel who done some man wrawng and deserved what was coming to her: that wasn't really Slade's style, as I recall. And Noddy's powerful voice leaves those reedy whingers for dead.
A song I like more and more.
You're welcome mate, glad you enjoyed this one... :-)
This was towards the end when Noddy finally no longer wanted to perform and really their last comeback as the original line up...
They went from being a Skinhead band originally in the 60's to the kings of glam rock in the early 70's (their best era in my opinion) to finally in the late 70's / early 80's being more of a sorta middle of the road rock band. All their incarnations worked for me to be honest but once Noddy left and his unique gritty vocals where gone then for me so was Slade too...
I'm just glad we still have all the great songs and videos we can look back on and listen too from an era when most of the people who wrote and made the music actually had talent & skills and weren't the bland talentless manufactured wonders that has been nuch of the music industry from the mid to late 80's onwards... :-)
