Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this topic, it really helped me to understand and finally come to terms with me kinning another highly problematic character 🙈 So for self-therapy I will share it here, but please read to the end before you come for me. I kin Eren Jäger, specifically S4 Eren Jäger. Now, before explaining further I would like to state that I absolutely do not condone murder, or violence in fact, as a solution to a problem or just in general and I think that our society is hugely underdeveloped in that aspect everywhere in this world, doesn't matter if someone is using violence or is just standing by and letting it happen. That being said, I kin Eren because of the generational trauma that he carries. It is proven that trauma can be a cycle that always repeats itself through generations so that children carry their parents trauma, who carried their parents trauma and so forth, until someone decides to put a stop to it and that's what I see Eren as. Do I approve of his methods? Of course not. Are we otherwise likewise? Also no. But I do understand the emotional turmoil of carring that generational trauma, feeling absolutly overwhelmed, helpless and even spiteful because you never got a choice to live your own life and I certainly understand the desperate need to put an end to it all so it does not carry further, even if it will hurt (emotionally) other people's feeling and even though you really love those people.
