The Kirklees Council REAL (Realistic Employment for Adults with Learning Disabilities) Employment Agency works closely with local employers to help adults with learning disabilities find jobs and receive free training at work.
A film has been produced to help change the hearts and minds of employers and to increase the take up in employment of adults with a learning disability and showcase the benefits to the employer.

Mike is right, Emo. 'Learning Disability' in UK is the same diagnosis as 'intellectual' disabilities in USA which used to be called mental retardation in USA. In USA the term 'learning disabilities' is what in UK, we call 'Learning Difficulties' such as dyslexia, dyscalculia and so on. Hence the confusion. In UK, for example, it is impossible for Asperger persons which by definition means they have average or above average IQ, to have a 'Learning Disability' diagnosis, too, whereas in USA, some Asperger persons would say they have learning disabilities which are in fact 'Learning Difficulties' in UK. No wonder Americans are confused by UK videos on 'Learning Disability' [intellectual disabilities]. Totally conflicting terminology/definitions. Hope that helps.

The person who indicated a dislike for this video is probably not from UK & has misunderstood. Not knowing that in UK, a diagnosis of Learning Disability refers to Intellectual Disabilities. An IQ or alternatively the GCA measure of under 70.
