Ha ha, yeah, I should have spend some time reinforcing it too. My new HBX bodies seem to do better. This was an old one. But great it wasn’t a Tamiya body. Thanks a lot for watching and the comment Brent.
Oh No! All that work on the new body, destroyed in seconds! What a pain in the a$$!!! Never mind, it was fun while it lasted, and as Pete said, you got a great video out of the experience! Thoroughly enjoyed watching - all the best my friend! :))
Godaften Mark! Ha ha, yeah, I don’t mind the body (just glad it wasn’t a Tamiya) but the paint and time ... But well, all good now. Break, fix, repeat is the name of our game. At least when one drives so bad like me 😊 But the benefit of filming is great. One always have a little footage of the finished result, before the carnage. Thanks a lot for watching, my good friend.
Ive got the Imex version of this truck it has a different system. No stutter or cogging at all. Its a leopard hobby motor. I think the esc is a power hobby with an Imex sticker on it. You cud try a higher C rating on the battery it may help other than changing electronics or gearing down. Its common in sensorless motors even hi end expensive motors do it often.
Yeah, broke easily. I think the new HBX bodies are of a better quality. But yeah, these old ones brake easily. So thin. Think they could do well with a lot of reinforcement and tape. Thanks a lot for watching, Chris.
Ha ha, yeah, and another good thing I s that it wasn’t a Tamiya body 😅 Uhh, and some day I might have to take a look at what I learned about attaching the GPS to the roof. Some day. So far so good. Thanks a lot for watching, Derek.
Oh man what a bummer. Those bodies must be really brittle to snap like that on the first outing. Great speed though Mikael. All the best and stay safe my friend.
Uhh, yeah, I don’t mind the body breaking, just the paint and all the time just consumed. Oh, well, I learned a lesson: don’t spend too much time on cheap old lexan bodies (unless reinforcing them too). 😅 All good. Thank heaven it wasn’t a new Tamiya body. All the best to you you, Rob. Stay safe my good friend.
Oh Mikael it was all going so well ☹️ That must be crappy lexan if it broke that easily. Your despondent throwing it aside says it all. Anyway to look on the bright side, at least you got a great video out of it. Hope all is well with you and yours. We have a supposed lockdown although it seems to be mostly life as normal except the pubs and non essential shops are closed. Also not allowed to meet with more than one person from outside of your household. Other than that we are allowed out so I got some RC done yesterday. I'm still going to work which is a great shame ☹️ Cheers for now mate 😀
Hi Pete! He he, yeah, everything usually goes well until I screw it up 😅 I was surprised too. I can understand the first body with my bad landings, but the second one was just a little flip. Must be bad quality. It definitely feels thin. All is well here. Ahh, yeah, we too got a lot of new restrictions here. 10 people max including the household. But will be working and working and working a lot in November and December ... maybe until they shut it all down again. It looks like it is heading that direction. Some parts of the country has been shut down already. Then it will be work and work and work from home ... Hope I can bring out the RC’s for a few minutes from time to time. And some editing in the evening. At least we don’t live in the City anymore so fresh air is guaranteed ☺️
Yeah, a little upsetting when I saw it first - but all good now. At least it wasn’t a beautiful Tamiya body 🙂 But yeah, one little flip, and then all that damage. Must have been really really weak ... or maybe it was just a really unlucky flip. Or both 🙂
Hi Jesse! Yeah, felt a little bad when I saw it, after all the work and the expensive paint, but at least I’m happy it wasn’t one of my more expensive bodies. So all good 🙂 Fix, break, repeat. Keep them running 🙂
Cool Mikael all of my hbx bodies are held together with hot glue and dry wall screen lol👍💯
Ha ha, yeah, I should have spend some time reinforcing it too. My new HBX bodies seem to do better. This was an old one. But great it wasn’t a Tamiya body. Thanks a lot for watching and the comment Brent.
Got my ranger to 71 kph with a hobbywing 80A ESC and a 3300kv motor from a maverick
Nice set-up! Fast ranger ☺️
Oh there goes the dog bone oh there goes an a-arm. Lol

@@NordicRC You are always welcome, Mikael. Oh yes, break, fix, repeat, I know it well, mate! :D
Man that's a sweet looking truck!!! New body and good to go💯😁 Man I love the rcs that you put together!!!
Thanks and thanks a lot for watching, Josh!
Does yours make the juddering/clicking when driving off from a standstill?
Yeah, most cheaper brushless systems do that.

Wow bro ... It was a nice run to that flip, I didn't realize the HBX bodies were so thin...smh

You've got to look at the good things about this whole experience. You found the GPS this time 😃👍👍

This looks identical to the hsp brontosaurus pro 94-111 and the redcat volcano epx pro. Can confirm?
Not familiar with those I am afraid. But Redcat and HBX has definitely released the same cars several times over the years so it wouldn't surprise me
Are those on and off-road tires?
Yeah, sort of an all-round tire. Not the best but they do okay 🙂
Super like 🤩👍
Thanks my brother!
Where did you get this RC?
Second hand parts. It’s an old platform, maybe 10 years old.

Bad day with the bodies 👍🏻
Yeah. Seems I now have learned a lesson that these old HBX bodies need some real reinforcement before going out 😅
Super good mate keep it up remind me of my custom 6x6 videos 👌👌👍👍😃
Thanks a lot for watching!
Those trucks have weak plastics like the redcats had or may still have
Yeah, they definitely had. Some of them was actually rebranded. This is an old platform. The newer HBX I have seem of much better quality.
@@NordicRC good to know!
Body looks a little scratched up didn't know a tamiya body could fit on it.
I made a mistake that's not a tamiya body just their decals. Time for a new body and a new GPS.
Yeah, don’t think a Tamiya body would crack like that on it’s first roll over 🙂 Time for a new body yes. GPS still good. But new ones coming in soon 🙂
Wow that body was weak I never seen one crack so bad! must have been upset all that work and the body just blew apart!
Yeah, a little upsetting when I saw it first - but all good now. At least it wasn’t a beautiful Tamiya body 🙂 But yeah, one little flip, and then all that damage. Must have been really really weak ... or maybe it was just a really unlucky flip. Or both 🙂
Sucks the body got that tore up.

😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
🙂😂
Pretty bad body.. crap i would say, even Tamiya decals couldn't save it :D
Yeah, that might be the right word 🙂 Ha ha
