For holy fucks sake, you guys are moonwalking all over NZ music. Kora was already awesome but guys, seriously where did you find this dude??? Its like lenny Kravitz, David Gilmour and Bob Marley morphed into 1 human being. The first track off the self titled album got me with that lead intro. Being a guitarist myself, was great to finally hear a real blues rock based Kiwis guitarist. Mixed that in with all the Reggae, Jazz, Groove fusion and it just off the grid. Self titled and III are my favorite, just the right blend of Blues, Pop, Dub. The vocals just take it to that next level that most bands just don't quite hit. Awesome!
Awesome work L.A.B! Wed Love to hear your guys music Live at a Local Waterhole in the Manawatu/Horowhenua Area!!!!! Three albums of Pure Bliss!!!!!! Keep em coming L.A.B!!!!!!!! You guys ROCK!!!!!!
I've listened to my fair share of Kiwi music over my 60 years as a Kiwi. Seen a few live gigs. My first gig was Mi-Sex at Invercargill Civic Theatre on Friday 13 June 1980. Was 16. Loud as gig. Experienced a few Dunedin Sound bands during the '80s...Saw Cold Chisel at Dunedin Town Hall on Saturday 24th September 1983, 2 months shy of my 20th birthday. Saw Icehouse at Dunedin Town Hall on Wednesday 15th August 1984. Saw George Thorogood & The Destroyers at Dunedin Town Hall on Sunday 8th December 1985. Saw Jimmy Barnes at Dunedin Town Hall on Friday 11th July 1986. Saw Crowded House at Dunedin Town Hall on Thursday 9th July 1987. Saw The Angels at Dunedin Town Hall on Tuesday 14th July 1987 [one week after previous gig]. Saw Dire Straits at Lancaster Park Christchurch on Friday 7th March 1985 record crowd 64,000. Traveled to London and worked there in 1988 for 6 months. Saw Pink Floyd at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 6th August '88. Saw The Screaming Blue Messiahs at The Mean Fiddler in Harlesden London on Friday 2nd September '88. Returned to NZ and saw U2 at Lancaster Park Christchurch on Saturday 4th November 1989. Had my near-death motorcycle accident in 1990 aged 26 and lost my entire left leg plus suffered several serious internal injuries. Fortunate to survive. Saw Jeff Healey Band at Regent Theatre in Dunedin on Friday 5th April 1991 - got to meet Jeff Healey backstage post-gig - one of the most humble gentlemen I have ever had the privilege to meet in my life, I told him I was a complete left leg amputee from my near-death motorcycle accident in 1990, he said 'well I'm blind' so I guess I have to believe you and we cracked up laughing. He had the ultimate wit and intellect. Saw Tina Turner at Lancaster Park on Saturday 16th November 1993. Here in Invercargill over the years I have seen Annie Crummer, The Chills, The Clean, The Dance Exponents, The Muttonbirds, The Verlaines, Ted Clarke and The Backdoor Blues Band, and Shona Laing, all at the Newfield Tavern every gig a winner. More recently I saw Jimmy Barnes and Th' Dudes, The Angels, and Dragon with legend Mark Williams on vocals at the Civic Theatre in Inverz. I have NOT seen L.A.B. unfortunately and it is ONE crew I would love to see live. I rate L.A.B. the greatest latest Kiwi band. It is up there with the best New Zealand has ever produced. Thank you L.A.B. I LOVE your music! I get told all the time To leave it at the door If all of the stars align This is what I'm gonna do Oh I'm staying on the high ground I won't ever go down I can take you on a feeling Make you all believe me I can hold off the line Tell me and I'll do And now that the stars align I know what I've gotta do Oh I'm standing on the high ground I won't ever go down I can tell that it's a feeling Now you all believe me Personify, you're everything It's in your eyes, it's the way you sing I can see to be the free I just need the feeling You know I'm right, it's everything It's in your eyes, the way you sing I can see it's heavenly I just want that feeling Personify, you're everything It's in your eyes, it's the way you sing I can see to be the free I just need the feeling You know I'm right, it's everything It's in your eyes, the way you sing I can see it's heavenly I just want that feeling Oh I'm standing on the high ground I won't ever go down I can tell you that it's a feeling Now you all believe me

That’s kiwi musos for you bro they don’t just play, they jam a la the sound and the vibe and I think because of our graphical location and our pre social media medium kiwi musos had small international market so we played for our “ear” but now with UA-cam etc and in our now global audience kiwis like everything we do , and do well proves that we definitely punch above our weight.

I get told all the time
To leave it at the door
If all of the stars align
This is what I'm gonna do
Oh I'm staying on the high ground
I won't ever go down
I can take you on a feeling
Make you all believe me
I can hold off the line
Tell me and I'll do
And now that the stars align
I know what I've gotta do
Oh I'm standing on the high ground
I won't ever go down
I can tell that it's a feeling
Now you all believe me
Personify, you're everything
It's in your eyes, it's the way you sing
I can see to be the free
I just need the feeling
You know I'm right, it's everything
It's in your eyes, the way you sing
I can see it's heavenly
I just want that feeling
Personify, you're everything
It's in your eyes, it's the way you sing
I can see to be the free
I just need the feeling
You know I'm right, it's everything
It's in your eyes, the way you sing
I can see it's heavenly
I just want that feeling
Oh I'm standing on the high ground
I won't ever go down
I can tell you that it's a feeling
Now you all believe me
