With just a few tweaks (even just her family remaining in California instead of moving to an island at the bottom of the world), Reb could have been every bit as big as Lana Del Rey. Maybe she wouldn't have wanted that, at the end of the day.
She is endlessly talented in songwriting and emitting a powerful presence.
I remember her playing in a small church in Hastings, June 2021. There were only about 100 of us in there. Before the last song of the night all of the amps cut out, and it was just her improvising, accompanied by an acoustic guitar and her voice that resonated all the way to the coastline and probably beyond. It approached the transcendent.
