Fun stat: Squeex has never missed a single lakitu skip while playing on a steering wheel. Come to think of it, perhaps no one has ever missed lakitu skip on a steering wheel.
Watched this on Twitch and it was not only pretty entertaining, I was also surprised how well you did certain stars. Some people were saying that this is barely a challenge, but left and right being controlled through the wheel, and having no intensity control for the up/down movement (from what I understand) does sound pretty challenging to me
I will always treasure in my heart the memory of Squeex beating SM64 with a steering wheel. There are people out there that don't believe in him and his abilities, but we, squeeners, choose to believe in him. Making some of the tricks first try with the wheel proves the haters wrong. I thought Bowser 3 was literally impossible, then I thought it would take some time but he nailed it the first time he got to the third throw, once again proving how much of a good player he is. Really well done Squeex, beautiful editing by DesignN64. I love to be a part of this community. Eternally grateful of you Squeex 💛
There are actually some relatively fast and easy strats for defeating Bowser without throws, check out a blindfolded speedrun to see them. There isn't a way of getting out of the last throw, though
