I have over 10 machines because I do a lot of different types of stitching and all machines are different. Not one of my manuals has anything about bobbin size in it. I had to play guess work and figure it out for myself. So frustrating. But...once you figure it out it makes things so much easier. I had problem after problem with everything from skipped stitches to breaking threads only to find out I was using the wrong bobbin. Once I figured all of them out I keep a box of the correct bobbin with the machine it's suited for. Life is so much better but it took me a long time to figure it out. Size definitely matters.
