On point! I am a revert that converted from Mormonism (LDS). I wish you had discussed the Book of Mormon with them. That is full of contradictions and crazy verses. It explicitly says to "worship" Jesus in the Book of Mormon. Mormons also believe Jesus is the creator, that God delighted that duty to him. I am so fortunate to have found Islam and be a Muslim now. Muslims put non muslims to slavery. Muslim were free men, it was forbidden to turn them slave unlike others. Theres islamic text stating a black worth less on the market than a white. Rape was allowed on slave, you could castrate male and make females pregnants. Lot of polytheist/animist cultur were erased by islam and it was a religion of conquest as much as chritianism, that's why they fighted toward territory controls. Also theres no rule on slavery in the bible, while Allah is very clear you have the RIGHT to possess human beings.

Just like Christians do not know the exact birth date of Jesus, neither the age of Mary (12-15 maybe) when she conceived Jesus. Age is not important. What is important is whether you are a truly worshipping One God or simply a pagan.

There is no original sin. Adam and Eve prayed for forgiveness and God forgave them.
Qur'an 2:37. Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

If a mormon "prophet" appeals to revelation and says something, that later mormons say was in fact not revelation (that the mark of kane is dark skin) then that delegitimises the prophethood of that person (and plausibly the concept of prophethood in mormonism) because if they can claim revelation about non revelation then that could be the case for other parts of their message.

I'm a Muslim and have nothing to do with Mormonism, but the sheikh clearly went for the low hanging fruit on this one. He knew the kids wouldn't be educated enough to respond. There were several opportunities for pretty good rebuttals and equivalents to draw when the sheikh was making his argument. I don't know, maybe his approach is right, but I feel like we should be a bit more respectful to the kids instead of going for shock value.

@@Komrade0 Dawah should not be abrasive. Did our prophet salallahu alayhi wa salam walk up to people and ask them intentionally shocking/unnerving questions to shake their faith? No, alhamdulillah, our deen is perfect and everything can be explained. The truth withstands falsehood and we don't need petty tactics to prove we are right.
@@JamalAdam455 This is another good point as well. If someone comes to you and teaches you beneficial knowledge in a disrespectful manner, you're much less likely to appreciate the knowledge or act on it. Perhaps even disregard it due to the source.
