I decided to make this for my mother in law!! Instead of coffee stained paper I decided to use the number 8 in your shades of color....also an excellent alternative!! Achieves that same warm look of the coffee stained paper ❤️❤️
So since the kids are going to be out of school for a while I'm thinking that I will have my 8 year old grand daughter over and we'll be making these!!!! Super simple and yet beautiful.... I have a lot of papers (I actually have more than the Michaels store here 😲😲😲).... lol time for me to use up some.....
I am so excited about this project, literally, I cannot sit still. I will need to watch this playlist a few times before I even start the Basically Amazing playlist, just to get myself settled down. Thank you, Jennifer! I truly appreciate all your hours of hard work to bring these beautiful designs to all of us. Thank you!
OMG! I love love love love love this book the best (So far), but I think I say that about each one I believe, LOL.. I am going to start (hopefully finish) this this weekend.
I love the softness of this album and the old time feel. Thank you for the many inspirations you give us with one template bundle. These templates are so worth the money, and with your video instructions, are AWESOME!!!!
Thank you for this wonderful template, your amazing creativity and the tons of tutorial that will keep me busy in this time of social distancing and gradual shutdown, here in the U.K. I love that I can get these digital papers in UK Etsy but I haven’t been able get the new Prima papers with reasonable shipping costs so will use an old range that I’ve managed to get hold of, when I finally get to the B album as I’ve only just finished 2 x D albums, 2 of which were going to a special needs school for their school leavers to keep memories of their school years, following a request from another Facebook group. I’ve shared one of them to your Facebook group but forgot to take pics of the second one lol. 🥰😘
Thinking of you all in the UK. We are social distancing here as well. Lots of time for creativity! Love the idea of a memory book for those leaving the school. Beautiful!
Superfast album; just what I need in light of the current health issue across the world. I bet there will be a lot of used up supplies of the next several weeks now that we can't add to our stash lol.
Jen got a question.... the score tool/pen looking tool to score in this video.... we have used it in a few but i see you switched back to the ball tool /ek tool. Can i ask why you choose to switch back. I have mine. But just wanted to see your thought about the score tools. Thanks!!
The point had wore down and instead of sharping it right then I just grabbed the scoring tool. I like them both but I think I prefer the Ek Tools one more.
This might be a stupid question but I’m new to making journals, what is the difference between the fabric-tac and art glitter glue and why are using them at different times? Thanks in advance 😉
hi Stephanie - Not a stupid question at all! They're made of different base products. art-glitter glue is water based, and thinner, but 'grabs' faster, that thinner quality allows for very small amounts to be put onto the page - you often see people using it with a metal tipped bottle, it allows for a very thin stream of glue to be applied. Fabri-tac (and it's cousin in the beacon range, '3-in-1' which many swear is the same stuff!) have alcohol at their base. they tend to be thicker, and dry a little more slowly, so you have time to wiggle something into place. Arguably, Fabritac is also stronger. It works to connect all kinds of material - fabric - to paper, hence the name, very well, although it will also work well to bond paper products/paper too. That's why you'll often see people applying glue like Fabritac into the spine where it needs to 'hold' a lot of weight, but glitter glue when it's just a picture being glued to a page. :) Hope that helps!
liz van Wessem thank you for explaining! I totally get it now, I had the Fabric-Tac and thought oh no, I need more glue. But after reading I don’t so, thanks for saving me the dough hehe
You're welcome, Stephanie! always happy to save someone some money - very needed at the moment! When you get a chance though (i.e. spare cash!), do get some. Many swear by it and say they'll never go back to other glues. Other's hate it. YMMV!
liz van Wessem Lol, it’s like everything else, people love something and others say no way! But I have been eyeing the art glitter glue for a while but didn’t buy it cause I had the Fabric-Tac. Also, I can buy the Fabric-Tac locally and not have to wait for it to be delivered, instant gratification at its finest haha. Buuutttt, I feel like I might place a amazon order because of the rave reviews of this glue haha. So, when gluing in the spine, stick with the Fabric-Tac but when gluing pictures and such stick with the art glitter glue, is that what I’m hearing you say 😁
@@wonderwonder30 well using the art glitter glue for pictures is more the extreme end of it - trying to illustrate the point about strength, really. I mean, you can use fabritac to glue pictures in if you want! Art glitter glue is useful when you want to glue something small. So if you've got something fussy cut, or a really intricate die cut piece, then art glitter glue will definietly help that. There are also 2 kinds of art glitter glue - one of them dries clear, which is useful if you're working with vellum or something else similarly see through. You can also, ultimately, use a solid glue stick like UHU Glue or pritt stick to stick pictures in if you want. Art glitter glue is stronger than UHU glue, or PVA glue, just not as strong as fabritac. make sense?
No worries, you are not lost. That is a background design. Which background did you get? Just use that one or maybe a just a piece of loose leaf lines paper will work also.
hola Jen!! como siempre, encantador tu trabajo, sin embargo, quería sugerir si puedes incluir subtítulos en español, para así comprender mejor, ya que manejo bien el inglés... Gracias y un abrazo desde Chile 😘

So glad to hear that!
Love it ❤️❤️ Think I will make many.. Still have so much different papers from Amity Bloom, and love her style mixed with you’re 😁
Yes, that will be so pretty!
If I want an 12 page album would I increase the spine size? I’m trying to figure out how I want to do my baby album. Thx

We can think of it as the perfect time to use your stash and craft away!
OMG THIS IS SO GREAT
Thank you very much!
Jen those printed sheets are so bright and pretty. Did you print them on your big inkjet printer?
I think I did but I am not super sure.
Thank you
Hi Jen, can you tell me what you are using to make your large letters on the photo cards.
They are Tim Holtz rubber stamps! www.amazon.com/Stampers-Holtz-Cling-Rubber-8-5-Inch/dp/B00BBKNLMM *affiliate link*

Thanks, Marsha! I printed on cardstock

Ok I'm lost. Page 54A to mat the small journal page. Mine doesn't have lines. What am I missing?

This is really F U N ! ! !
Vicki, I think so too!
OMG the inking takes forever when you do all the pages at once. Lol but I found my walnut stain and I might be wearing some.
Walnut stain is a great choice!

Oh goodness, I would if I could speak Spanish at all, but I do not. I am so sorry.
Please please stop using your candle to prop up a book made from extremely flamable products - you're giving me heart failure
I promise I’m being careful!
