The button directly below the motor start button is "setting mode". Once pressed, this will run your clamp, ejector, carriage at a low speed, low pressure during mold changes and set-up.
Get a torque wrench and stop using the subjective cheater bar method.
With no mold safety strap holding the parting line together, and using that side loaded hoisting method, you are asking for a mold to slide apart in mid-air.

Snake River Stickbow happened in my shop where we had a few older molds with no straps and one fell apart 10 feet in the air coming out of the press lucky that it fell back into the press and no one was hurt. I always knew that was going to happen used to hate moving those molds so much. Safety is so important with this job

Just tried this with our 58,000lb tool and the whole tool fell to the ground.. 3000 ton machine, everyone came rushing over and asked why I didn't hook the crane up before taking the clamps off of the moving platen. I was like 10000% sure this would work

one tip, just get the machine moved back those two feet, and make the lift SAFE!!- bet your school's public liabillity insurance would NOT cover this!!! Also why don't you bolt or strap the mould halves together?, make dead sure the two don't split mid-lift!!

I love watching amateurs work these machines. They're so dangerous. Move the dam machine back. and put a metal strap across the mold halves when pulling.

you never mentioned any mold straps to keep fixed and moveable sides together before opening the moveable platon which is dangerous, this is a must considering the weight, also setting the tonnage on mold to make sure moving of mold does not slip....

    1. No safety.
    2. No locking bars on fix&moving side of mould.
    3. It is not necessary to move the nozzle all the way back just breaking the contact is enough.
    4. Just add a pulley system somewhere back to apply thrust when taking out mould and save a manpower.
You are 3 guys just removing mould from 200ton machine* in 5 minutes !!
I can done both loading and unloading without any help on 275 T feramattic or 250 T toshiba in less than 20 minutes.

Mohit Bhardwaj it is necessary to move Barrel back because you could damage nozzle tip, plus your Barrel will be ready for purging when setting the next mold because the barrel will be in place all the way back you do not want the barrel that close when purging

you have to take the nozzle back all the way so it makes the switch to let machine know the nozzle is back
