Recording or streaming? or both? Unfortunately there is no app for streaming the switch stuff like there is for xbox or ps4 so you'll need a capture card. but I can walk through hooking it all up if that will help.
@@ChowlbPlays I was thinking of finding a budget way of hooking it to my laptop hoping there must be some way. Otherwise the built in has 30 second clips that can be patched
David Ford of course you can chat with your mic. My point was that you can’t View the chat on your screen like you do with the PS4. You need another device to read the chat. Your mic works as your broadcast mic to twitch so the chat can hear you.
David Ford I just realized you may be talking about my mic not being available. I don’t have one plugged into my Xbox. I use an external mic on my pc for streaming and chatting. Sorry for the confusion. I meant to say that but again probably didn’t say it right
I have heard mixed reviews on that working. I’ve heard some dslr cameras will work in a USB mode, but I’ve also heard canon requires proprietary software for that to work. I’m not 💯 since I don’t have a canon to try it with.
Rayveen you’re correct. It was on mixer. And it used to be on twitch when the Xbox used the old “snap” sidebars. But when snap went away I think the twitch chat went with it.
Rayveen laptop or phone will work perfect. And at least that way you still have the full screen to game on without the chat taking up space on the side.
yeah webcam/gameplay/audio sync issues are a real pain on any platform. the one saving grace about a PC is that with OBS you have total control over all of that stuff. you can add delays to everything to match it up perfectly. i feel your pain my friend!
My problem on streaming twitch from my Xbox is on my friends POV their isn’t a Opt in button for their audio . Their a opt in button if I stream on mixer , I’ve tried everything and I can’t find a way to stream and display my teams audio with mine . My viewers only hear me and I feel forced to buy a capture card/pc ..
Jimmy Thompson this is a tricky subject with a lot of mixed feedback. One of the many reasons, as you stated, people lean towards a pc capture card. Make sure you have the party chat enabled on the twitch stream in the streaming settings of the twitch app. Also once in the party make sure you have your chat enabled. And see if that helps any. And the party chat volume is up. Might be worth checking your audio output is set to tv and headset. I’ve never had any friends to test this with so I’m shooting in the dark here.
I bought a elgato HD60s and I have a pc but I’m trying to console stream my Xbox but I have no voice on my elgato so on Monday hopefully that chat link will allow my stream to hear me and my party .
Thanks for the tutorial
Thank you for the comment!!
Bro thanks sooooo much this will help me a lot, ur a bloody legend mate!
My pleasure!! It's awesome to wake up to someone commenting on multiple videos, thank you for checking them all out!
ChowlbPlays no problem
Would be interested in seeing a workaround to better record Switch gameplay 👀

Jacob Dexter Coffey not really budget. You need a capture card. It doesn’t have to be an elgato but they’re all not what I consider ‘budget friendly’
@@ChowlbPlays see, that was my concern. So I'll snag one eventually and try and get some of that sweet switch screen grabs up and running
You should check your settings because yes you can talk to the people in chat with your microphone.

Apologies if it seemed that’s what I was saying. Trying to make sure I convey all the information sometimes I get it jumbled.

@@ChowlbPlays no problem just helping out.
David Ford I really appreciate the fact checking! Hope I didn’t come off as rude! And thank you so much for watching!
Quick question I have a canon eso m200 can I hook that to my Xbox to stream. This is driving me crazy.

Anyone if you can broadcast using your Kinect?
WetღWillehy yes you should be able to. You should be able to use both the microphone and the camera from the Kinect for broadcasting.
Do you know how I see my chat on the Xbox screen so I can read chat
I don’t think that’s an option like on the ps4. But you can always pull your channel up on your phone or a laptop to see the chat.
ChowlbPlays thank you it was a option on mixer and seem like I can’t get it on Twitch
Rayveen you’re correct. It was on mixer. And it used to be on twitch when the Xbox used the old “snap” sidebars. But when snap went away I think the twitch chat went with it.
ChowlbPlays wow that’s unfortunate I guess i will just pull chat up with my laptop👍🏼

Gotta get a pc lol I hate the fact there is a big lag between what is going on and the camera lol hate the latency

@@ChowlbPlays still appreciate the feedback I did buy a capture card and hopefully the legato chat link when it comes in resolves my problem
Jimmy Thompson the chat link will 100% solve the problem. It sends a direct copy of whatever you’re hearing to the pc. What capture card did you get?
