Awesome, I've been using Blaster Surface Shield which also works great and can also just spray on the rust to slow the growth. If using it, carry a can of brake cleaner to clean the nozzle here and there. Good video, and rust protection is definitely a must for our E's
Alex you are a wealth of information for us Element owners! So glad I found your channel. I have an '09 I am trying to keep looking good, I am a fellow upstate NY resident and I had Crown rust proofing done last fall, but this looks easy enough and much cheaper than what I paid them to do it. Thank for all the info!
THIS IS SO HELPFUL, THANK YOU!! Am thinking to buy one for sale near me for around $6,000 2006 but disclosed frame is rusted and needs work from that. Now if I see it’s the area you warned about I’ll pass not take the chance on back collapsing on me. Thanks again!!
You do such an awesome job? I love fluid film myself and have a major set up in my garage with a lift to put it on. But there's a thing called osmo, and what it does is. You should have treated your frame with that first. It's a neutralizer for rushed in converter. Look into it, it has to be 50° or warmer to put it on. But you put that on then you do the fluid film. I am glad I could help you with that ship. Please look into it.❤❤❤
Thanks for the video! I like seeing all of the underside of the element.

Will this stop rust that has already formed from spreading? Great video broski =)
Yes the oil is supposed to penetrate through the rust and reach the bare steel preventing rust from spreading
@@AlexKolipinski going to try that on the khaki soon

Good stuff alex! I just posted a video on my channel covering this major issue with the E's!
love your your videos, Thank you 😮
Maybe i missed this in the video, but how often do you need to do this? Assuming you live where it snows every year.
Every year before winter. You can do the hard to reach places (behind the rocker panel trim, in the rocker holes) every 2-3 years
I live in Sayre and I have a 2003 and 2008.
Can a body shop repair the area by the rear driver wheel that is the common failure point? Need some guidance on a recently purchased E. Thanks!
How often do you have to do this
Do you have probkems finding parts or is the element comperable to the crv or pilot?
Hey i’m in New Paltz NY do you ever do meet ups for The Element??
will it go away after a carwash??
Its recommended to avoid washing the underside of your car after applying rustprooofing
