Yes ago, my sis, bro and I traveled and rented a small apt that had a mirror at the end of the hallway. One evening, we were walking in, I opened the door and scared myself thinking there was s1 inside. I'm pushing them out and they're pushing me in 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Your way of presenting is so easy to understand. Thank you so much. I just moved into a new apartment and didn't know where to put the mirror since I have started watching videos about feng shui. But now I know.
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 I’m glad to hear that you like the way i present these concepts! 🙏 And Congratulations on your new apartment! 🎉
Thank you for posting videos and ideas. Don’t let the occasional person who doesn’t agree with feng shui philosophy get you down, people like that are everywhere. I did notice your channel introduction page doesn’t explain what school of feng shui you practice. That might be helpful for those who follow a specific school in the way they try to set up their homes or who follow you so they don’t get confused. Have a great day. I appreciate your hard work - video editing is not easy!
Thanks so much for your kind and encouraging words, I really appreciate it! 😊 You definitely sound like a fellow Chinese Metaphysics practitioner who understands that Feng Shui, like religion, veganism, and other life topics, resonates with certain people, and we can’t please everyone. I’m not bothered by differing opinions, and if you’ve seen my replies, you’ll notice Im not really bothered and i handle them with humor (hopefully I’ll keep that up in the future since im still a small creator now 🤣). Actually based on my analytics, negative comments are rare, about 99.5% of feedback has been positive🙏! As for your advice, I’ve actually learned from several schools of Feng Shui, but what I focus on in my videos so far is the 'Forms' aspect, which is something all schools generally agree upon. You can watch my latest video where i mentioned that!😉 When I start discussing topics that involve 'Calculations' or specific 'School Methods,' I’ll would definitely clarify like I’ve done in all my other videos. Thanks again for your support and for taking the time to share your thoughts! I totally appreciate it!🙇♂
thank you for this important information! I thought having a mirror to the left of the front door walking in was a good fortune bringing set up. Have I been wrong this whole time?
Thank you so much! 😊 It’s been an exciting journey, and I’m so grateful for the support from wonderful people like you. Every bit of encouragement helps keep me motivated to create more valuable content. It's not easy but I look forward to sharing more and growing with you guys!♥
Thank you so much for this video! My house has that piercing heart negative formation. 😭 Our finances sounds like your friend’s although our expenses are due to our extended families depending on us and many friends and neighbours asking for help (we might be too generous too). I have curtains on the sliding glass doors though and I usually close the sheer curtain on the part that’s directly in front of the main door during the day (like in your photo) so the chi doesn’t go straight out, and close the opaque curtains fully at night. I also moved our dining table in front of the glass doors to block a bit of chi, but the table and chairs are only blocking a very small part of the glass doors. I’m unable to put a furniture in front of the front door as it’s a really small hallway with bar chairs on the right and a bedroom door to the left. If I keep my curtains closed throughout the day except for the times when we need to exit out to the backyard, though the glass sliding doors, would this help? Although doing that would make our house so hot and stuffy. 🤢
Thanks for reaching out!❤️ I have actually got some comments that are very similar to your question. You might want to check out the comments to get an idea to your questions. The goal is to have the Qi "hover" around the house and gradually flow out, much like how we absorb nutrients from a meal before passing them. It's not about using curtains to stop the qi from leaving your house,it's more about gently diverting it towards the living room and let it gradually exit. This ensures the energy nourishes the space before exiting. PS: The living room should be, or rather, must be, BRIGHT! So if your aim is to stop Qi from leaving and you keep the shades down all the time, that wouldn’t be ideal. Hope that helps!🙏
Thank you for this video! I am also mirror obsessed and have a small entryway, one where the main door has a side long vertical narrow window to the right (called clerestory window) which allows the natural exterior light to come through. Is it ok if I place the mirror across from the entry door, but on a wall that does not face the main door directly, but its located slightly to the right directly facing the small clerestory window? I have some hanging plants outside of that window, so the mirror actually reflects the natural light and those plants and not the main door.
Thank you so much for your comment! 😊 I'm glad you enjoyed the video! It sounds like you’ve created a lovely space with the natural light coming through the clerestory window and those beautiful hanging plants. 🌿 As long as the mirror isn’t directly across from the main door, it’s generally fine. That said, while a bright and positive living room is very important in Feng Shui, we also don’t want it to become too glaring. If the mirror reflects too much light and makes the space overly bright, that could cause discomfort. So, just keep an eye on how the light reflects throughout the day. If you ever want more tailored advice, feel free to reach out for a Feng Shui audit! 🙏
Can you talk about main door colors and the direction too? I don’t know how to tell where my main door is facing too. Is it outside facing in or vice versa
Thanks for your question! Directions in Feng Shui is a huge and important topic, and I definitely plan to cover them in my future videos. It’s more of an ‘advanced’ or ‘technical’ topic that involves using a compass. Right now, as a new UA-camr, I’m focusing on making videos that are interesting and accessible, so they’re not too dry or complex. I’m still learning the ropes of video creation, aiming to make content that people find enjoyable while also building my name in this niche. When you’re just starting out and not yet established, making highly technical content might mean only you, me, and maybe my mum would watch it! Just take a look at my first 2 videos, they are topics i want to talk about, but the views are demoralising. So bear with me as I progress on this journey-I hope you’ll stick around to watch me grow on this platform. But rest assured, the information I’m sharing now is practical and something you can implement right away, without needing a compass or advanced knowledge to decide if you should place a mirror at your front door, that sort of things.🙏
Hi I have another door after going through my garage. Also after going through that door it is connected to my kitchen. Would that affect my fengshui? Cheers
I would recommend that you use the main front door more often (the real one, the symbolic one, the one people look at and immediately know it’s the front door) especially if the garage door is connected to the kitchen. This helps balance the flow of Qi in your home. However, Feng Shui isn’t about being overly restrictive. True, there are things that might not be ideal in Feng Shui, but if one area is weak, we can always improve in another area or focus on improving our efforts and lives. There’s no such thing as 100/100 Feng Shui, just like life, it’s about balance and making the best of what we have. If you’re still concerned or want more tailored advice, feel free to reach out for a Feng Shui audit-I’d be happy to help! Cheers! Hope this helps! 😊🙏
Thankyou. I am a mirror obsessive! UK, Victorian house in The Cotswolds here. Are mirrors to the side of the main entrance and in hallways ok? As long as they are not directly front facing? Thankyou and much appreciated.
Thanks for reaching out! ☺Yes, it’s perfectly fine to have mirrors to the side of the main entrance, especially if they aren’t visible when you first walk in as the door swings open. You can check out the example I shared in the video for more clarity. And unless your hallways look like a dance studio, as I showed in the video, you’re absolutely fine! Hope it helps!🙏

Hi good day! How we may correct that the top of our rented home (we are at the ground floor) is the comfort room of the above occupants? Please help. Thank you.
Thank you for your question! 😊 That’s a tricky situation, but I’ll do my best to help. In traditional Feng Shui, there’s not much written about toilets above important areas like the ground floor because, in ancient times, this wasn’t an issue There were never toilets built on the second floor!😂 However, modern Feng Shui practitioners do consider it a potential concern due to the symbolism of “bad energy” above key areas like your front door. That said, don’t stress too much-there’s no such thing as 100/100 Feng Shui, and no house is perfect. Unless you’ve noticed significant negative changes to your family’s well-being since living in this home, it’s not something to overly worry about. If the idea still bothers you, each house is unique, and a proper assessment is needed to give more tailored advice. Feel free to reach out for a Feng Shui audit, and I’d be happy to help! 🙏✨ Hope this gives you some peace of mind! 😊
I currently have a window right across the entrance door, and unfortunately I can't block the view with a tall furniture because the room is too small. It is like a large corridor, with also visible kitchen on one side (towards the end though). Are nice curtains and a pot with basil outside the window enough to redirect the Qi? Thank you for the videos, very interesting subject!
Thank you for your kind words! I’m so glad you enjoyed the videos! 😊 Unfortunately, neither curtains nor the basil plant can fully stop the Qi from flowing out. The idea in Feng Shui isn’t necessarily to stop the Qi, but to allow it to "hover" and gradually flow through the space-much like how we absorb nutrients from a meal before letting it pass out. Since your space is small, I’d recommend focusing on keeping the front door area tidy and clutter-free, which can help improve the energy flow. Hope this helps!
@@Allan-Teo Thank you for your answer Allan! Got it, I recently added some bells with tiny elephants (which are particualarly special to me) on my entrance door as well, as you suggested, and love it so much already! Much love and prosperity back at you 💫
Wow, so interesting! So, wE live in a tiny apartment and unfortunately the kitchen is right at the entrance, bit I'm already thinking on how to fix that. What gives me some thought is the fact that across the entrance we have a door which access a balcony, but that is in the adjacent room (so it is in fact in a straigt line, but before you have to go through the whole home, since it has only 2 rooms, kitchen/living area and a bedroom) I don't know how I could place anything tall enough, or without "holes" like shelving as that is kind of the only window we have (besides the one in the bathroom) therefore the house is not so bright already, and blocking that only source of natural light (apart from the kitchen/entrance door, which is mainly glass and allows some light in) feels so wrong :( Of you made it this way reading, thank you!! 😅🙏
Thanks for reaching out! 😊 I’m glad you found the video interesting! It’s a bit hard to visualize the exact layout from your description, so I don’t want to make any assumptions that might not be accurate. But it does seem like your space is very tight. When working with small spaces, minimizing clutter and taking a minimalist approach are key. It’s important to allow Qi to flow freely, but we also want to keep the light coming in as much as possible (for the living room). If you want a more tailored solution specific to your space, feel free to reach out for a Feng Shui audit. I’d love to work with you to create the best flow possible in your home. Hope this helps! 🙏
@@Allan-Teo wow! Thank you for taking the time to reply, I really appreciate that! ♥️ Yes, my description was not Very clear, now that I read it again, but anyway, your advice on decluttering is just spot on! 😁 We are working on that, but when the house is so small storage is always a challenge! Thank you, have a good day!
Regarding having an exterior opening facing the front door, will a drap/shade work? We have a gorgeous backyard with a pond view and my husband loves that. I told him we need to keep the sliding glass door shade half closed so that there’s no direct open/exit from the front door to the backyard. The shade is not transparent (these are cellular shades), is this good enough? TY
Thanks for your question! 😊 Unfortunately, drapes or shades aren’t good enough to fully stop the Qi from flowing directly out. I’d recommend keeping the door closed if it’s directly aligned with the front door, and keep the shades up during the day. What we want is for the Qi not to flow straight out, however to achieve that and we create a living room that is dark, then we would have created another problem. We need the living room to be bright and positive! Furthermore, It seems like the pond view makes your husband happy, so whatever boosts the positive vibe and triggers those happy hormones is good feng shui. Keep it up, so he can see it!🤣 However, these suggestions are based on my assumptions from how you’ve described your living space. It would still be better to have a trusted Feng Shui advisor see it in person for more tailored advice. Hope this helps! 🙏
@@Allan-TeoThank you for your detailed response. The glass sliding door is 15 feet long and I am only drawing the cellular shade on half of the sliding door that aligns with the front door. So the living room is still bright and if he gets up from the sofa and go further towards the kitchen area, he can still see the pond. But if we find a nice looking screen like what you show in the video, maybe we will get one. We live in Florida where there’s not even a lot of Chinese (comparatively speaking), let alone someone good at Fengshui
@@marinawong9662 Thanks for sharing! Absolutely loved this video. ❤ My front door opens to the view straight ahead of sliding glass doors to the backyard so you can guess the rest. Must block the Qi from passing through. Thank you so much! 😊
Thanks for your question! It sounds okay to me since the mirror isn’t directly facing the main door. However I can’t fully visualize the layout from just a description, so I wouldn’t want to give inaccurate or general advice. If you’re concerned, you could arrange a more tailored Feng Shui audit with me, and I can help you assess if there’s any issue. Hope this helps!
Thanks for sharing fengshui ideas. Our condo unit is directly facing the elevator and we are always sick and depress. May I ask for your recommendations on how to correct this?
Thank you for your comment! 😊 It's my pleasure to share some feng shui knowledge on youtube.. having the elevator directly facing the front door can make the Qi unstable. To help, you could place a tall, nice plant near the entrance to act as a shield or mediator for the Qi (but make sure to maintain the plant properly, as an unhealthy plant may have the opposite effect. if you think you can't maintain it often, then don't place the plant). Anyway this acts only to minimise the negative force, not turn the unstable qi into positive Qi...🤣 It’s important to remember that Feng Shui, much like life, isn’t about achieving perfection. There’s absolutely no such thing as 100/100 Feng Shui! Just like in life, there will always be challenges and limitations. Feng Shui is just one piece of the puzzle, and if you’re feeling depressed or sick often, other than that small tip earlier, it’s also important to focus on your health and mental well-being. Try incorporating some physical activity, like going for a run, to boost your mood and energy. And when circumstances allow, consider moving to a different home with better Feng Shui features. If you’re still concerned and would like more tailored advice, I’d recommend arranging a Feng Shui audit for a detailed assessment of your space. 🙏 Hope this helps, and wishing you better health and harmony! 😊
Excellent video. Have the front door straight-shot to back door situation. Hung a 40mm crystal between the two doors. Also subscribed to your channel. Please post more feng shui videos!
Thank you so much for your kind words and for subscribing! 😊 I’m so glad you find the video excellent! 🙏It means the world to me that you're enjoying the content, and I will definitely continue to share more Feng Shui videos! Your support truly motivates me to keep going. 🙇
@@sandieharding6337 - I hung it 8 days ago as soon as this video made me aware of the situation. My main observation is it FEELS like the crystal helps the draining situation I have been experiencing with relations and finances. Try it for yourself. I got my 40mm crystal(s) on Etsy and have used them successfully over the years to “cure” feng shui no-nos.
Allan-Teo, it seems like a full video on various feng-shui cures for the straight-shot front/back door/window is very much needed. In my case, I don’t want to block my beautiful views with a piece of furniture, so I’m trying a crystal to redirect the chi. Please consider posting a video on this subject.
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 I’m really glad the video helped you understand Feng Shui better. It’s always my goal to make these concepts clear and accessible. Wishing you all the best on your Feng Shui journey! 🌟
Thank you for your question! I’m not quite sure I understand-are you asking if you can use frosted window film on the door itself, or are you referring to using it on the window? If you mean on the door, that wouldn’t have the same effect as a screen. If it’s on the window, it sounds like a mirror to me. Let me know if I misunderstood!
@@Allan-Teo Hello, thank you for responding. I appreciate it. I was referring to the windows. Can I apply those frosted window films? If not, can I use curtains as a substitute for the window screen? Thank you
@@charlieben3672 Ahh, I see! If that’s the case, no, frosted window films wouldn’t be the best solution, and i assume you are dealing with the piercing hall negative formation (Feature 4) since you are talking about windows. The reason is that regardless of whether the windows are frosted or not, the Qi will still flow straight out. Additionally, frosted windows can make the living room look dim and dull, which creates another issue in Feng Shui, as we generally want the living room to be bright and inviting. We typically recommend frosted windows only for privacy, so people walking past your home can’t see inside. But in your situation, if you can’t place a screen or partition, I suggest focusing on improving other areas of your life or enhancing different spaces in your home, or keep the entryway neat and clutter-free. Hope that helps!🙏
You're most welcome! Regarding your other question about using curtains instead of screens, I've actually addressed this topic a few times in the comments, so feel free to check those out for more detailed insights. But to give you a brief answer here, the answer is no. The rationale is the same as the frosted window explanation I provided earlier in response to your previous question.
Thank you for your question! 😊 I’m glad you enjoyed the video! In most classical Feng Shui texts, it’s generally not ideal for stairs to face the front door, as it can make the Qi unstable and has some symbolism concerns. That said, there’s no such thing as a 100/100 perfect house. Feng Shui is just one piece of the puzzle in the grand scheme of life. If one area is weaker, we can always improve in other areas of our space or life. If you’re concerned, feel free to reach out for a Feng Shui audit, and I’d be happy to help with tailored advice. Hope that helps! 🙏✨
Unfortunately, the previous owners built a garage that blocks park of the front of the house. So our guests see the garage first. I would think this blocks energy in.
Thanks for your question! 😊 Generally, having a big mirror reflecting the dining and living room is fine, as long as it doesn’t create clutter or more importantly the effect of confusion in the space. However, the impact of the mirror can depend on the overall layout of your home. If you’re concerned or want tailored advice, feel free to reach out for a Feng Shui audit. Hope this helps! 🙏
My small apartment literally have feature 1 and 4. For feature 1 how does it affect female owner? Does translucent partition screen help for 1 and 4? Opaque one might reduce the light flowing through.
If your front door opens directly towards the kitchen and that's the first thing you see, it could impact the energy of the female owner. The kitchen represents the source of nourishment and energy, which is closely tied to the female owner in traditional Feng Shui. You might want to check out my other video on kitchen Feng Shui, where I discuss this in more detail. As for the partitions, yes, a translucent partition is a great solution!👍
The sliding closet door by our front door is a mirror. Should I replace the door? I’m thinking of buying a self adhesive painting to cover the mirror. Is that okay?
If it’s a mirror facing the front door, it’s definitely not ideal. Replacing the door or using one of the suggestions from my video would be the best options. Using a painting to cover the mirror isn’t a bad idea either, as long as it doesn’t make the entrance look unpleasant. Feng Shui is also about symbolism, and one key element of the entrance is that it should evoke feelings of happiness or grandness. Hope that helps! 😊🙏
Yes, you can! 😊 Closing the door to the balcony helps manage the Qi flow and prevents it from escaping too quickly. But remember as you close it, don’t turn your living room into a dark and dull space, keeping it bright and positive is just as important. Hope this helps, and welcome to your Feng Shui journey! 🙏
Well, I’d rather you open the window fully to let fresh air and light come in. You might solve one problem, but you could create another by making the living room dark. A bright and positive living room is essential for good Feng Shui. That being said, every house is unique, and this is more of a general piece of advice. It’s always better to have someone take a proper look. If you’re concerned, a Feng Shui audit can provide tailored advice specific to your space. Feel free to reach out if you’d like assistance! 🙏✨
Haha... I love your sense of humour!😂 I understand where you’re coming from. Feng Shui, like many traditional practices, is something that resonates with some people more than others. We live in a diverse world where everyone has their own beliefs and practices, and that’s what makes it interesting! It’s all about embracing our differences and respecting each other’s choices. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and thank you for being part of the conversation.🙏
me to my bedroom no fenshui nothing bedrm next to the door the bed linin uo with door window in front of my bed.. but its ok its the only way i feel confortable
Of course, it’s okay! unless you have so many shoes that it creates clutter like the example at 0:45.🤣 Remember, if Feng Shui is supposed to help you not make your life feel overly restrictive. If you can't do this and that, then something is off. It’s about creating balance, not stress. Hope this helps! 🙏
Is it good feng shui if when open the main door, you'll see Buddha altar? Or altar is best to place at different part of the house? Because you didn't mention anything about altar & is very common for Asian house to put altar at the entrance.
Thank you for your question! 😊 If I didn’t mention it in the video, it means it’s not one of the most critical Feng Shui concerns. Feng Shui has nothing to do with religion, although we absolutely cannot deny the power of religion. Generally, I don’t advise placing godly statues directly in line with the door, but it really depends on the situation and what you want to achieve. If you’d like a tailored assessment for your home, feel free to reach out for a Feng Shui audit! I’d be happy to help. Hope that helps! 🙏
My house was built in 1911 and added onto in 1935. There is a front entry hall. The first thing you see is the main staircase. 1st floor is a figure8 with a long hallway to a room at the back of the house giving the 8 a tail from it's side. Makes Feng Shui difficult. I think the chi gets lost somehow.
That’s a great question! You won’t find many answers to this in traditional Feng Shui texts because, in ancient China, toilets weren’t typically built on the second level, so it wasn’t an issue back then. However, in modern Feng Shui, it’s generally seen as less favorable since it symbolizes negative energy hovering above an important area like the front door. But don’t stress too much-no home is perfect, just like no one is! Unless you’ve noticed a significant change in your family’s well-being since moving in, there’s no need for major concern. If it still bothers you, I’d recommend consulting with a Feng Shui advisor or feel free to reach out to me for a Feng Shui audit, and we can take a closer look!
Thanks for your question! 😊 What’s the problem with having a South West facing house in the southern hemisphere? I’m not sure where did you get that idea that Feng Shui is only about directions. You might want to ask whoever suggested to you for their rationale. Feng Shui looks at many factors beyond just directions, like layout, surrounding environment, and how Qi flows through the space. For a more accurate assessment tailored to your home’s specific setup, I’d recommend a Feng Shui audit. This way, we can consider all factors to give you the best guidance. Feel free to reach out by checking out my website in my description if you’d like to explore this in more detail! 🙏
Thank you for this info. When my front door opens into the house, directly straight ahead is a wall (8 steps in front), with an open living room & dining room on the right. On the entry wall, a medium glass-covered picture is hung. Is the glass considered a “mirror”, that needs to be removed? At the back of the living room, we have 3 large picture windows with view of our beautiful garden. When is it okay to open the curtains to reveal the garden? Keep it closed only when guests arrive, after they’ve entered our home? I heard to place a light & plant with rounded leaves in the living room, next to the window, the opposite corner of the entrance for prosperity. True?
Thanks for reaching out!😊 It sounds like you’ve got a lovely setup with the front door leading to a wall 8 steps ahead. it's great cos you can hang something that "makes you smile", like what i mentioned in the video. As long as the glass-covered picture on the wall brings you joy, "makes you smile", trigger your happy hormones when you come home and isn’t overly reflective, I’d say it’s great. Regarding the garden, the living room is a space that MUST be bright and inviting, so I wouldn’t suggest keeping the curtains closed all the time. Letting natural light in from the garden is beneficial. The curtains don’t need to be closed even when guests arrive-let that beautiful view enhance the energy in your home! Regarding the plant and light, there might be a purpose, but it’s unique to each house and not a generic Feng Shui recommendation. I usually suggest placing such items in the wealth corner or if there’s a "lacking sector." You should ask the person who advised you why they made that recommendation, as I’m wasn't there to audit your place. It’s always good to check with your trusted Feng Shui advisor, to check things out before you place "items". Alternatively, you can arrange a Feng Shui audit with me, and we can get everything sorted out. You can find the link in the description. Hope this helps!🙏
@@Allan-Teo I mentioned the back windows bc they can be seen from the entrance, when we walk through the door. Inauspicious to see the outdoors from the entrance, yes? The windows are not directly opposite of entrance but can be easily seen to our garden. Thank you for your advice!
It doesn’t seem like there’s any issue as long as the windows aren’t directly in line with the door. However, since I can’t perfectly visualize it from a description, words alone, it’s always best to consult your trusted Feng Shui advisor if you’re concerned. Alternatively, feel free to arrange a Feng Shui audit with me, and we can take a closer look to get everything sorted out properly. 😊
If your front door faces north, can you paint the interior of the that door yellow or gold? Or do you have to stick with black blue or grey? They say metallic colors but gold is metallic- isn’t it?
Thanks for your comment! 😊 I try to keep the focus on what’s covered in the video so everyone can get clear and relevant information. Just a small tip-Directions do matter, but not in this context. What matters is what you have outside and inside your front door. you can face north south east west, but if you open your door and the first thing you see is a garbage dump, it’s definitely not good Feng Shui! If you're asking about something outside the scope of this video, feel free to reach out for a personalized Feng Shui audit, or keep an eye out for future videos where I might cover that! 🙏
Hi. If the main door swings out and is directly inline with the gate (towards the street) and also directly in line with the lanai door (glass w/ metal grill but only always partially open) towards the backyard, how can we contain the qi? Can putting an acquarium against the lanai door help?
Hi! Thank you for reaching out. As much as I’d love to help, the situation you’ve described is a bit unclear to me, so I don’t want to give advice that might not be accurate. However, if I may 'assume,' it sounds like it could be related to 'external factors,' which I’m actually covering in an upcoming video (hopefully, I can upload it soon). You might want to check out that video to see if your issue is addressed. I don’t want to leave you totally empty-handed, so I can say that placing an aquarium or water feature near the entrance can be a good idea, provided a few things are in place: the sector is correct, the Qi is positive, and your front door space allows for it. You’ll notice that many established hotels, casinos, or large shopping complexes (especially in Asia) have a water fountain at their entrance. Something to ponder.... That said, it’s always a good idea to consult your trusted Feng Shui advisor for more tailored advice. Alternatively, feel free to PM me to arrange a Feng Shui audit so we can take a closer look and get it sorted out properly. Hope that helps!❤
@@Allan-Teo thank you. Didnt expect to hv such a quick response. For better clarity, the street gate, main door and lanai door are aligned in a straight line. No barriers to prevent qi from going out. The acquarium i planned to put by the lanai door (unused but partially open) to contain qi somewhat. Is this a right move?
@@lucci17 No problem at all. I'm sorry, I’m still having a bit of trouble visualizing your layout from the description, and I really don't want to give you an inaccurate answer. 🙏 however, i really can't bear not to give you some advice. if you an ‘unofficial answer,’ or some "ideas" is what you wanted and if I’m allowed to make some assumptions, if the lanai door is between the main door and the metal gate, it’s best to close it off, so that it cuts of the straight line qi. Or like what i said in the video, add a screen or partition or shelf at the front door. I wouldn’t recommend using the aquarium in this case, as we can’t verify whether it would have a positive or negative impact based on the criteria I explained in the previous reply. Do note that this is an 'unofficial answer' since it’s based on how you described the situation and my own imagination. If you’re concerned about the Qi flowing straight out, these are just "ideas" to consider. I apologize that this is the best advice I can offer without making too many assumptions, as I don’t want to dig myself deeper into a hole with unclear information. If you’re looking for a more ‘official’ answer, I suggest consulting your trusted Feng Shui advisor to take a closer look. Alternatively, you can visit my website at www.allanteo.com to arrange for an audit, where we can review your floor plan and work out the best solution together. ❤
Thanks for reaching out! Like I shared in the video, it’s very important to ensure the front door area isn’t cluttered to allow for a smooth flow of energy. Shoes should ideally be stored in a closed cabinet or shoe rack to keep the space looking neat. This helps maintain a welcoming, pleasant environment and prevents the energy from getting "stuck" near the entrance. So for the first part of your question, the answer is in the video: basically, keep it neat and tidy when you enter the door. As for leaving shoes outside the door, unless you have 100 pairs out there, a few is fine. Again, it’s about keeping it neat and tidy. Like I mentioned in the Kitchen Feng Shui video, "If Feng Shui makes you feel overly restrictive, then it’s not used correctly." We need to strike a balance between Feng Shui and practicality. Hope this helps!🙏
Hi Allan. I live in India in small house. My front door is a grill door with meshes opening directly in kitchen with first round table and little far away, view of the sink. Im screwed...no partition or screen could be installed...
Hi Agnes! Thanks for reaching out! Don’t worry, you’re not screwed for sure. 😊 Seeing the sink is totally fine; it's seeing the kitchen that isn’t ideal. Perhaps you can try changing the direction of the door, as I mentioned in the video. But anyway, if it's not causing any major issues-if you feel good and things are going well-then there's no need to be overly worried. If you can’t improve this space, focus on improving other spaces in your home. Remember, Feng Shui is just one small piece of the puzzle in the grand scheme of life. Like I said in my videos, there’s no such thing as 100/100 perfect Feng Shui, just like life isn’t perfect. We just do the best we can.
Yes, thats very good in fact! 😊 The key is to avoid clutter and ensure that the entrance remains clean and welcoming to allow Qi to flow freely. Hope that helps!🙏
I recently moved into a rented apartment. My front door opens into a balcony where we have a whole Wall shoebox. Then we have another door which opens into our living room. So I would like to ask, Shall I renovated the balcony at the entrance or it doesn't matter? Since I consider that main entrance is the one that opens to my living room.
Congratulations on your new apartment, and thank you for reaching out! 🎉 I appreciate your question, but I have to admit that I’m having a bit of trouble visualizing the layout from your description, so I want to make sure I fully understand before giving any advice. Could you clarify a bit more? When you said opens into the balcony, is the balcony inside the house, where it's the first place you see when you enter, or it's an external feature, where it's the first place you see when you step out of your house? If you have two entrances to your home, the classic feng shui advice is to use only 1, use the one that has the Best Qi (which needs to be determined by a feng shui advisor). Normally the direction is good and not facing bad external features (which i will be covering in my upcoming video😊) That should be the MAIN entrance, and the other one we should "refrain" or at least use it very rarely, and also kind of make it clear which is the "main" door. Much like establishing who’s the boss. If my presumption of your description is correct, if the other entrance is to the balcony with a shoe cabinet and it’s not the main entrance, that’s generally fine, i don't see a need to get it renovated. But it’s still important to keep that area tidy and uncluttered. The main entrance, however, should be ESPECIALLY clear and free from clutter. This advice is based on what I’ve gathered from your description, but to ensure everything is just right, it might be best to consult a trusted Feng Shui advisor. If you’d like, feel free to PM me to arrange a Feng Shui audit so we can look into the details and give you peace of mind. 😊Hope that helps!
Thanks for your reply. The first door opens to a balcony where we have a built in shoe cabinet. The other end of the balcony has another door that opens to our living room. I consider the second door as the main entrance to my apartment as I leads to the main living area. So I might not need to renovate the balcony, right? The balcony is clutterfree and clean. I just want good Qi to enter my house.
@@LS-ug3xf Thank you for the clarification! If I’m understanding correctly, it sounds like the door you consider your main entrance might not actually be the primary entry point for Qi. If the first door you pass through is enclosed, that would typically be regarded as the main entrance. However, if the balcony area with the shoe cabinet is enclosed, then that door would be the main entry point. I realize this situation is a bit complex and might be hard to fully resolve through comments alone. If you’d like a more detailed analysis, feel free to PM me through my website (linked in the video description). We can arrange a consultation to go over your layout more thoroughly. Thanks again for reaching out!🙏
😊 If you read most Feng Shui classics, a staircase facing the main door is generally considered unfavorable because it can disrupt the flow of Qi. However, compared to some of the other issues I discussed in the video, it’s not as severe. If you’re still concerned and would like more personalized advice, a Feng Shui audit could provide a more detailed assessment. 🙏 Hope this helps! 😊
My situation is impossible because I have the #5 with a front door leading into a long hallway that goes straight to the back door leading to the deck. there is no way to add furniture to block it. I have lived here for 20 years with my income going out as fast as it comes in with all kinds of unexpected expenses and I live in near poverty. I just don't know what to do and have no way to move.
Thank you for sharing your situation! I noticed you mentioned the #5 feature, but in my video, #5 is actually something we want to see in the house, so I’m not sure what you’re referring to. If you're talking about something different, feel free to clarify so I can provide better advice. 😊 Now, about the idea of 'impossible'-that’s a mindset that great philosophers like Confucius would say is not correct. We do our best, we try our best, and what we can't control like the results, we leave to the will of the universe or God. But we must absolutely try. There's always a way out to solve a problem; it’s just a matter of whether we’re willing to find it or say it’s not possible. Even with Feng Shui, I understand that sometimes it’s hard to execute certain cures, and that’s totally okay! If this space has some issue, we can make it up in some other spaces to improve the overall feng shui. We can also improve in other areas of our lives. Remember Feng Shui is just one piece of the puzzle in the grand scheme of things-it’s not everything. If people had said everything was impossible, we wouldn’t have electric cars, space exploration, or even AI! Life will be stagnated..... So, don’t give up hope; there are always ways to improve the energy in your life. 🙏
@@Allan-Teo I have the situation where my front door is opposite my back door and there is no way to put a partition between to block as you recommend in your video.
Work on other areas in your house Feng Shui or improve in other areas of your life where you’ve recognized there is a problem. Perhaps try to stop using words like 'impossible' and 'no way' as they limit your potential. Hope it helps!🙏
Hi Allan, I have glass sliding doors as my front door. I love the light and visibility outside but is this good and if not what can I do? I'm struggling financially.
Thank you for your question! 😊 I appreciate you sharing the details, but I have to admit, it’s a bit hard for me to visualize your layout from just the description. I wouldn’t want to give you inaccurate advice based on assumptions. However, it sounds like you have a bright and positive living room, which is good feng shui! it makes the family/owner having a more positive and bright outlook towards life! For a more accurate assessment, it’s always best to consult with a trusted Feng Shui advisor who can see your space in person. Alternatively, I offer Feng Shui audits that can provide tailored insights specific to your situation. Feel free to reach out if you're interested! Hope this helps! 🙏
So if therz a window or 2 in front u mention keep a showcase in front of it? That looks odd. What if we keep the curtains covering them? Long curtains? Thanks
When you walk to my porch you see window. Look to the right you enter through the door. Into the living room. Should I change the door to where the window is facing the street?
Thanks for reaching out! I can’t perfectly visualize it from a description, words alone, it’s always best to consult your trusted Feng Shui advisor if you’re concerned. Alternatively, feel free to arrange a Feng Shui audit with me, and we can take a closer look to get everything sorted out properly. 😉
Thanks for your kind words!🙏 A well-looked after fish tank, that makes you smile when you come home as the 1st thing you see, is definitely one of the best item for front door feng shui! Well done!👏
I presume that when you say front door, you are referring to the proper front door and not the door I actually use when I drive into the garage in my house and open the door between the garage and the interior of my house. Straight across from my proper front door as you enter the house, is a glass door with a beautiful ocean view. There are also many windows near the front door as well. Putting a screen in front of the opposing door would look weird. That said, the wall between the two opposing doors has a decorative item (a Thai Spirit house) which sticks out a bit from the wall. Will that Spirit House help to keep the Chi from escaping the other side?
We actually take both doors into consideration in Feng Shui, the one that symbolically represents the front door and the one you use most frequently. It’s kind of like in a company, there’s the ceremonial 'boss,' but the real power sometimes lies with someone else. The person who can give you a real pay raise might not be the 'boss,' but rather the one working behind the scenes. For your situation, I’d recommend keeping both doors as clutter-free as possible. From what you’ve described, your 'front door' has a beautiful and exceptional setup-especially with that ocean view! Water in front of the house is considered highly auspicious in Feng Shui. Just think about casinos, high-end shopping malls, and five-star hotels-why do they all have fountains at their entrances? Think casinos, high end shopping malls, 5stars hotel, why do they have a fountain at their entrance? They have so much money to burn and they are so free to get people to do frequent maintenance? Could it be Feng Shui? I would actually encourage you to use the front door more often to 'tap' into that good energy. 😊 As for the Spirit House, even though I follow a religion, Feng Shui itself isn’t connected to religion, spirituality, or magic, so I wouldn’t think that spirit house can stop Qi from moving in its natural course. That said, these items MIGHT have a certain energy but only if they’ve been properly consecrated , been through some Proper Rituals, but often, even the owner might not know. So, I wouldn’t stress over it. As long as everything is well and fine with you so far, thats the most important thing! Hope it helps!🙏
Thank you for your comment! ❤️ It’s great to hear that you believe in Feng Shui! 😊 I’m not sure who told you it’s an issue-you might want to ask them for their reasoning. From what I know, generally, having the gate inline with the front door isn’t a problem. That said, every house is unique, and the overall layout matters. If it’s a concern, feel free to reach out for a Feng Shui audit, and I’d be happy to help assess your space. Hope that helps! 🙏
Thank you for your question! 😊 Keeping the curtains closed across from your front door can help to some extent, but it might not be enough to fully manage the flow of Qi. Plus, keeping the curtains closed all the time could make the space feel dim, which isn’t ideal for good Feng Shui. It’s important to maintain a balance-ensure the space stays bright and welcoming while managing energy flow. If you’re concerned and want tailored advice, feel free to reach out for a Feng Shui audit. Hope this helps! 🙏✨
my front door opens directly to the living room and the opening direct to the desk I work, I'm having problem working from the desk, but I can't move it from there cause is part of the interior provided with the appartment. What can I do?
Thank you for your question! 😊 I appreciate you sharing the details, but I have to admit, it’s a bit hard for me to visualize your layout from just the description. I wouldn’t want to give you inaccurate advice based on assumptions. However, if I may suggest, working in the living room is not the most ideal, unless you live alone. You might want to work in one of your rooms, so that you can focus better. For a more accurate assessment, it’s always best to consult with a trusted Feng Shui advisor who can see your space in person. ❤Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 I’m really happy to hear that the video helped you get a clear understanding of Feng Shui. It’s words like yours that reassure me I’m on the right path and keep me motivated to continue sharing this knowledge with the world. I’m excited to keep this journey going with you and look forward to bringing even more insights your way! 🙏
Sounds like a pleasant sight to me! An organized, neat, and tidy bookshelf at the entrance can be a great Feng Shui element, as it represents learning and knowledge. Just make sure it’s well-maintained to keep the energy positive and welcoming! Thanks for asking!
My front door is on the south side of the building, however my house is built north of the road. Is the door on the correct side of the building for Qi flow? I feel like the road would be on the Career and Life Path side of the house.
Thanks for commenting. I try to keep the focus on what’s covered in the video so everyone can get clear and relevant information. I didn’t cover directions in this video, as the focus was on other Feng Shui aspects. If you’re genuinely interested in how the Qi flow might affect your home, I recommend scheduling a Feng Shui audit for more personalized and accurate advice or keep an eye out for future videos where I might touch on that! 🙏
Is it generally not advisable to put a statue of a horse in the South sector? Due to horse-horse punishment? Someone told me it was okay but I'm still hesitant. So is it actually ok?
Thank you for the question, it’s a good one! 😊 However, let’s keep the discussion focused on what’s mentioned in the video. This question dives into the heavenly branches in Feng Shui, which I might cover in future videos. For now, I’d rather not confuse viewers or give the impression that anyone can ask anything beyond the scope of this video. If you’d like a more tailored solution specific to your space, feel free to reach out for a Feng Shui audit by visiting my website via the link in the description. I’d love to work with you to create the best flow possible in your home. Hope this helps! 🙏
Thanks for your question! 😊 Curtains aren't strong enough to completely stop Qi from flowing straight out. Furthermore, it’s crucial to maintain a bright and inviting atmosphere in the living room. If your goal is to keep Qi from leaving, simply keeping the curtains down all the time isn’t ideal, as it can lead to a dim and less welcoming environment. Hope this helps! 🙏
I can't fully visualize it based on your description, but based on that, having a pool visible from the front door sounds super nice to me. A very beautiful and auspicious setup in Feng Shui! In Feng Shui, having "water" in front of the house (front door) is an auspicious set up. Think casinos, high end shopping malls, 5stars hotel, why do they have a fountain at their entrance? They have so much money to burn and they are so free to get people to do frequent maintenance? Could it be Feng Shui?
But is it considered negative chi because the positive energy flows right out through the back patio door and directly into the pool? Like example feature #4 from your video. Set up is similar to your friend's where the front door opens to the windows but in my case it opens to back patio doors over looking pool. So I'm curious if this is negative chi or does the pool help. Thank you!
This isn’t negative Qi, like I mentioned in the video and in earlier replies. It’s more like the positive Qi flowing straight out, kind of like how your body can’t hold onto all the nutrients from the good nutritious food you eat. Most of it just passes through, which is what seems to be happening here. If I’m understanding your description correctly (and bear in mind, it’s tricky since I can’t see the space, just based on words), the Qi is flowing out quickly rather than staying inside to nourish the space. In Chinese philosophy, we often compare these things to life-just like how you eat good food, but your body only takes in a bit of the nutrients and most pass through. The same applies here; the positive energy is going straight out without staying to benefit the space. If you need more help or want someone to take a closer look in person, feel free to reach out to your trusted Feng Shui advisor, or if you like, PM me to arrange a Feng Shui audit. I’m able to audit for anyone, anywhere in the world, so distance is no issue! 😊
Interesting I just stumbled into your video without searching. I’ve been wondering about this because my front door opens into living room with view of island then my oven…front door open, island and on other side of island is oven…is it ok? Thanks and SUBSCRIBED!
Aww, thank you so much for subscribing! 😊 I guess it's the law of attraction at work, since you've been thinking about this, my video appeared just in time! 😄 As for your question, it can be a bit difficult to visualize everything based on a comment, but from what you've described, it sounds like your front door opens into a living room with an open-concept kitchen, and the first thing you see is the island. While it's not ideal for the kitchen and living room to share the same space in Feng Shui, having the island in view when you enter is perfectly fine. If the island blocks the view of your stove or oven, that's even better! That said, it's always best to consult your trusted Feng Shui advisor for a more detailed look, since I'm giving advice based on your description. Alternatively, I'd be happy to arrange a Feng Shui audit to help you get everything sorted out.☺ Thanks once again for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel! ❤
Thanks for your question! 😊 I have to admit, it's a bit difficult for me to visualize the exact layout based on the description. The flow of Qi can vary depending on the specifics of your space, so without a clearer picture, I wouldn't want to give you the wrong advice.🙏 However, if I “assumed” (unofficial advice, since I didn’t see the place), when you open the front door and there’s a passageway (L-shaped) before you see your living room and then the alfresco, it should be fine. Just make sure that the entrance isn’t cluttered. Sometimes, people design narrow passageways with built-in shoe cabinets and other storage, which can create a cramped feel-something we definitely want to avoid in Feng Shui. Clutter would only worsen that situation. If, on the other hand, you open the front door and immediately see the alfresco, which I assume is an open-air dining area, it’s similar to the example I mentioned in the video about a balcony. In Feng Shui, this setup isn’t advisable, as the Qi would flow straight out. It might be best to consult a trusted Feng Shui advisor who can take a closer look and provide more accurate guidance. If you'd like, I’m available for a Feng Shui audit to help you get everything sorted out. ❤
Thank you. Your first guess was right, the moment I open my entry door, I walk through an L hallway leading to an open plan living room on the left and kitchen in the right then leading to the door to the alfresco. My home has a rectangle floor plan so I was a bit worried so I have to ask.
that’s a tricky question! 🤣 But I shall answer it anyway! You won’t find many answers to this in books or online because, in ancient China, toilets were never built on the second level, so this is never an issue. So, you won’t find guidance on this in Traditional Feng Shui Classics. However, modern Feng Shui practitioners do consider it a taboo, and it makes sense, as there’s a symbolism of bad energy hovering above such an important area like the main door. But don’t worry too much; there is no 100/100 Feng Shui, no house is perfect, just like no one is perfect in life! Unless your family’s well-being has noticeably worsened since living in this house, there’s no need for major concern. If the idea bothers you very much, remember that each house is unique, just like each person. A proper assessment is still needed to make a better judgment. It might be wise to consult your trusted Feng Shui advisor, or feel free to PM me to schedule a Feng Shui audit to get it sorted out! 😉 Hope this helps!
Thank you so much for the kind words! 🙏 I’m really glad to hear that you enjoy the videos and find them helpful. As for your question, whether it's good or bad depends on many factors. The location of the fireplace matters, the level of clutter around it matters, and most importantly, how the fireplace makes you feel. Is the fireplace specially designed so that when you see it upon entering, it brings you joy? If, as you walk in the door, the sight of the fireplace melts away your tiredness and all the negative feel you had collected at work, then this is definitely a good setup in Feng Shui!😊 If you're concerned or want more personalized advice, feel free to reach out for a Feng Shui audit, and we can figure out the best solution for your space! 🙏
Thanks for your question! 😊 Vastu and Feng Shui come from different cultural traditions and beliefs. It's like how different religions have varying practices. They each have their own principles. My advice is to follow the one that resonates with you the most and aligns with your beliefs. Hope that helps!🙏
What about mirror in the dining room? My house is open layout. You open the front door you can see the dining room & living room & dry kitchen. Dining room has large mirror. How to fix this?
Hi, thanks for reaching out! 😊 I just want to clarify, are you asking specifically about the mirror in the dining room or about the view of the dining room from the front door? As long as the mirror isn’t the first thing you see when you enter, it should be fine. It's also generally okay if the dining room is visible when you enter the house (hopefully your dining table isn’t too close to the entrance). What we want to avoid is having the kitchen, particularly the stove, as the first thing you see. Or the mirror, like super close to the entrance. You might want to check out my other video on kitchen Feng Shui for more details on that. I realize it’s not always easy to visualize layouts from descriptions alone, so I do my best to make "assumptions" based on the information given. However, it’s always best to consult with a trusted Feng Shui advisor who can see your space and provide tailored advice. Alternatively, if you'd like, you can always reach out to me 😉using the link in the description, and I’d be happy to help you sort it out for your peace of mind. 😊🙏
Thanks for reaching out!😊 Honestly, curtains might not be strong enough to fully prevent Qi from escaping through the front door and out the balcony. As for a crystal lamp, while it carries good symbolism in Feng Shui, it does not hold or slow the Qi down. My advice would be to keep a glass divider or door to the balcony closed if you have one. Otherwise, it’s okay to live with the setup. If your wealth luck has been fine, then there’s no need to be overly concerned. We improve it through some other areas in our life! Remember Feng Shui is just one piece of the puzzle in the grand scheme of life. Remember, there’s no such thing as 100/100 Feng Shui, just like there’s no perfect life or partner !😂
By the way, the living room should be, or rather, must be, BRIGHT! So if your aim is to stop Qi from leaving and you keep the curtains down all the time, that wouldn’t be ideal. ❌
@@JayZee8 sorry, what is the concern? I didn’t mention anything about dining table and salt lamp and windows taboo in this video. If some other feng shui experts told you that, you need to ask them why?
Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm glad you found the video informative! 🙏 Yes, you can definitely use a glass door as you’ve described. Just be mindful to avoid glass that allow people to peek into your home or those that are highly reflective (looks like mirror). This helps maintain both privacy and a good flow of energy in Feng Shui.😊
@@chrysanthierizou8140 Hi there! I hope I’ve understood your question correctly, since you asked in Greek🇬🇷. If you’re considering replacing your windows or balcony doors with mirror-like glass, it's not recommended. In Feng Shui, reflective glass can push energy (Qi) away from the space, potentially disrupting the flow of positive energy into the room. If my understanding of your question is correct, then yes, I wouldn’t recommend using mirror-like glass. In my latest video ua-cam.com/video/b8UKv4qQJAQ/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared , I also talked about mirrored buildings and structures. While they might look nice from the outside, from a Feng Shui perspective, casting reflections onto others isn’t nice to them. Let’s be considerate of our surroundings and neighbors! I hope this helps!😊
What if there's no other way to block the kitchen because the door, when opened is right next to the kitchen? If we place a blocker then there's no entry way because it'll block the entire small space to walk.
Thank you for sharing more about your space! I completely understand your concern, and it’s important to recognize that sometimes in life, we face limitations we simply can’t fully solve-like asking a 90-year-old to run a 100-meter sprint. Your home might have certain limitations that make it hard to apply Feng Shui principles perfectly, and that's okay. Feng Shui is just one small piece of the bigger puzzle, and if your health, energy, and well-being are generally good, then there’s no need to worry too much. The best advice I can offer in this situation is to focus on minimizing clutter. Keeping your kitchen and entryway tidy will help the Qi flow as smoothly as possible, even in a small space. It’s not about achieving 100% Feng Shui perfection, but rather doing what you can with the space you have. Remember, a clutter-free environment already goes a long way towards maintaining good energy!😊
After watching your video, I have just realised my house has all the things that are bad in feng sui. When you open the front door, you see a very big mirror right in front of you. Next to the mirror is a toitlet on the left and next to the toilet is a bedroom.. you can see my back door straight from the front door (arrow thru the heart) ... bad bad... no wonder i cant keep money... better to buy another house with better layout
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 😊 Every house has its challenges, there’s no such thing as a 100/100 Feng Shui house. Just like in life, there’s no 100/100 man or woman; there are always challenges and flaws. The key is to make the best of what you have and improve the flow of energy wherever possible. But that’s a great mindset! aiming for something better in the future and keeping these things in mind moving forward. If you’re concerned and want tailored advice for your home, feel free to reach out for a Feng Shui audit. I’d be happy to help you optimize your space. Hope this helps! 🙏✨
That's a good question! 😊 There are many views on this, but generally, I tell people that the main entrance is the one you use most frequently. The one that you use more than the other. Hope that helps!
@ Thanks for your insight, so one of the YT videos says that in Fengsui the main entrance is the opening that’s facing the main road where people are passing by?
@@dinojohnson305 Good question again... Like I said in my earlier reply, there are many views on the main entrance debate. I won’t comment on whether it’s right or wrong to consider the main entrance as the opening facing the main road, like some other masters said. Instead, I’ll share my rationale for why I believe the main entrance is the one you use most often. There are many reasons, but I’ll keep it brief since this is just a comment and I don’t want to dive too deep. The most important rationale is that Qi is perhaps the most critical factor in a Feng Shui analysis, and the main entryway for it is the main entrance. If you’ve seen my videos, you know that Qi isn’t just air or light but a mix of complex energies. Without going too deep, the most important Qi that enters your home is Human Qi. (Think of an abandoned/haunted house vs one full of children and laughter) Life itself brings energy. That’s why I say the main door is the one you use the most often, as you bring the most vital energy to your home: LIFE. Every house is unique and If you need further help on your house feng shui or if you’d like more tailored advice for your place, feel free to pm me using the link to my website to arrange for an audit.🙏
Do you necessarily have to put a piece of solid material in front of the window if your front door is facing the window? Can you just use roll down shades and a thick curtain?
Thanks for reaching out! 😊 The goal is to have the Qi "hover" around the house and gradually flow out, much like how we absorb nutrients from a meal before passing them. With roll-down shades and thick curtains, it’s less about keeping the Qi inside and more about gently diverting it towards the living room. This ensures the energy nourishes the space before exiting. PS: The living room should be, or rather, must be, BRIGHT! So if your aim is to stop Qi from leaving and you keep the shades down all the time, that wouldn’t be ideal. 🌿
I understand where you’re coming from. Feng Shui, like many traditional practices, is something that resonates with some people more than others. We live in a diverse world where everyone has their own beliefs and practices, and that’s what makes it interesting! It’s all about embracing our differences and respecting each other’s choices. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts, and thank you for being part of the conversation.
I’ve also read to have house numbers outside hanging either straight across, or straight down. That angling house numbers will drain wealth. Also a water feature places to LEFT of front door, will encourage cheating spouse!
😆Thanks for engaging in the comments! I haven’t discussed angled house numbers or placing a water feature next to the front door in this video. Feng Shui is filled with countless taboos, and different practitioners often have their own take on specific points like these. I would recommend asking the person who suggested this why they believe it, as there are always different interpretations.🙏
I have no idea where that came from. You’d need to ask the person who wrote it! When you're unsure, it’s always a good idea to read from a few more sources to gauge what’s correct and what isn’t, since there’s an overwhelming amount of information out there-some right, some wrong, and some just different perspectives. Alternatively, you could always follow one Feng Shui expert that you trust and know gives accurate advice. 😉
Thanks for reaching out and engaging with this video! ❤️ I’m not entirely sure what you’re asking, and I don’t want to make any assumptions-could you clarify what you mean by ‘every room is wrong’? I didn’t discuss any specific ‘sector’ issues in this video. If an ‘expert’ told you that your house layout is wrong, it’s important to ask them for their rationale. I can’t make a judgment without conducting a proper audit myself. However, if you’ve been studying Feng Shui on your own and noticed some issues with your house, there are a couple of things to consider. 1. Feng Shui is just one piece of the puzzle, (as i have mentioned in my other videos). Your birth date, the country you were born in, and the choices you’ve made in life also play a significant role. 2. you might have misunderstood certain concepts, so it might be wise to consult a trusted Feng Shui advisor. If you’d like, you can also PM me to look into your Feng Shui, and we can work together to ensure everything is in harmony for your peace of mind.🤗
@@Allan-Teo Thank you for your answer. Stvar je v tem, da vstopim skozi vhodna vrata in nasproti vhodnih vrat je kuhinja in iz kuhinje je balkon, kopalnica pa je na levi strani od vhodnih vrat.
@@Lia-oh9dg It does seem like the current setup isn’t very ideal from a Feng Shui perspective. What you can do is like what i suggested in the video, adjust the door opening so that it opens in the opposite direction, so that the toilet isn't the first thing you see when you enter. Likewise as advised in the video, for the kitchen, using a screen or partition or a shelf can help prevent Qi from flowing directly from the front door into the kitchen, let it get into the hall/living room and gradually get to the kitchen. Remember, Feng Shui is just one small part of the bigger picture in Life. In Chinese metaphysics, we also consider the relationship between heaven, earth, and man. If things are generally going well for you, there’s no need to stress about making changes. If you notice that your family’s overall well-being isn’t as good as it could be, it might be worth consulting a trusted Feng Shui advisor. Hi Allan! I live in Bangkok. As Thai people, if we own a house, we usually have a front gate, which in my case, is close to the front door. My front door is a large wooden door. Is that something I should be worried about? Also, I park my motorbike between the gate and the door. Should I move it and park it somewhere else?
Hi there! Sawadee Krap! 🙏 Thanks for reaching out with your question. It doesn’t sound like there’s any major issue here! A wooden door is perfectly fine in Feng Shui. 😊The main thing to consider is the space between the front door and the metal gate. Ideally, we want this space to be as spacious as possible, which is why the advice is often to keep the front door area free of clutter. With that in mind, it’s best if the motorbike isn’t parked between the gate and the door, as it could restrict the flow of Qi. If possible, find another spot for it to keep the entrance area open and welcoming. 🌟Hope that answers your question!🙏
That's a great question!👍 If you're using your backdoor exclusively, it essentially functions as your front door in Feng Shui terms! In Feng Shui, the front door is considered the "mouth of Qi," where energy enters your home. So, whichever door you use regularly will serve that purpose. Just ensure that the area around your backdoor (now your front door) follows the tips I have shared in this video! By applying those principles, you’ll allow positive energy to flow smoothly, making the space feel welcoming and harmonious, just as you would with any main entrance. Hope that helps!🙏
I’ve actually covered some examples of where mirrors can be used in the video, so feel free to check it out! 😊 As long as mirrors aren’t placed directly facing the front door or creating too much reflection, they’re generally okay. You can refer to the video for more details-I put a lot of effort into explaining the best practices!

I have a mirror at the end of my hallway and I have scared myself a few times 😅
I’m glad you got a laugh out of it! Thanks for sharing the laugh and for watching the video!
♥
😂😂😂😂
Yes ago, my sis, bro and I traveled and rented a small apt that had a mirror at the end of the hallway. One evening, we were walking in, I opened the door and scared myself thinking there was s1 inside. I'm pushing them out and they're pushing me in 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I have a big one on the dresser in my bedroom and have scared myself to death looking at it first thing in the morning ! 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
😂😂😂😂😂
Your way of presenting is so easy to understand. Thank you so much. I just moved into a new apartment and didn't know where to put the mirror since I have started watching videos about feng shui. But now I know.
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 I’m glad to hear that you like the way i present these concepts! 🙏 And Congratulations on your new apartment! 🎉
It's bad luck when you open your door and see your gossiper neighbour 😂
😂 Haha, that’s definitely not the best Feng Shui! But don’t worry, we can work on the energy flow to keep that kind of "Qi" out of your space! 😉
😂😂
Who cares! 😂
I totally appreciate it!🙇♂
Great information but all of the sound effects, echoing and editing is very distracting and off putting. Can’t watch
thank you for this important information! I thought having a mirror to the left of the front door walking in was a good fortune bringing set up. Have I been wrong this whole time?
Your channel is growing - good for you!
As long as the mirror isn’t directly across from the main door, it’s generally fine.
Omgee this is true!!! I have a huge mirror when entering front door and I have been mentally drain and on edge constantly overthinking effin’ A
Thank you for sharing your experience! 😊

@@Allan-Teo Thank you for helping. God bless.👍🥰🙏
What gives me some thought is the fact that across the entrance we have a door which access a balcony, but that is in the adjacent room (so it is in fact in a straigt line, but before you have to go through the whole home, since it has only 2 rooms, kitchen/living area and a bedroom)
I don't know how I could place anything tall enough, or without "holes" like shelving as that is kind of the only window we have (besides the one in the bathroom) therefore the house is not so bright already, and blocking that only source of natural light (apart from the kitchen/entrance door, which is mainly glass and allows some light in) feels so wrong :(
Of you made it this way reading, thank you!!
Yes, my description was not Very clear, now that I read it again, but anyway, your advice on decluttering is just spot on!
Keep it up, so he can see it!🤣
However, these suggestions are based on my assumptions from how you’ve described your living space.

Hi! I have a full length mirror on my wall across my main door but not directly facing the main door. Is that okay?
Anyway this acts only to minimise the negative force, not turn the unstable qi into positive Qi...🤣
It’s important to remember that Feng Shui, much like life, isn’t about achieving perfection.

Allan-Teo, it seems like a full video on various feng-shui cures for the straight-shot front/back door/window is very much needed. Can I put those frosted window film as alternative for the screen? Thank you
Thank you for your question!
@@Allan-Teo Thank you again, but my other question is not addressed: Could I use curtains instead of screens? Thank you kindly.
Thank you for the video, it’s well explained! Would like to ask if it’s a taboo for stairs facing the front door?
Thank you for your question! 😊 I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
In most classical Feng Shui texts, it’s generally not ideal for stairs to face the front door, as it can make the Qi unstable and has some symbolism concerns. That said, there’s no such thing as a 100/100 perfect house. Feng Shui is just one piece of the puzzle in the grand scheme of life. If one area is weaker, we can always improve in other areas of our space or life. If you’re concerned, feel free to reach out for a Feng Shui audit, and I’d be happy to help with tailored advice. Unfortunately, the previous owners built a garage that blocks park of the front of the house. So our guests see the garage first. I would think this blocks energy in.
Is it okay to put a big mirror reflecting the dining and living room?
this confirms alot of personal feelings i have had about such places. thank you for the tips
You’re welcome 😊
We have the same layout as #4. Can we just close the door to the balcony? Clearly I am new to this, lol.
My front door opens to the window of the living room. Can it help by opening the window halfway and using the curtains to act as a kind of barrier?
Well, I’d rather you open the window fully to let fresh air and light come in. You might solve one problem, but you could create another by making the living room dark. A bright and positive living room is essential for good Feng Shui.
That being said, every house is unique, and this is more of a general piece of advice. It’s always better to have someone take a proper look. If you’re concerned, a Feng Shui audit can provide tailored advice specific to your space. Feel free to reach out if you’d like assistance! 🙏✨

I understand where you’re coming from. Feng Shui, like many traditional practices, is something that resonates with some people more than others. We live in a diverse world where everyone has their own beliefs and practices, and that’s what makes it interesting! It’s all about embracing our differences and respecting each other’s choices. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and thank you for being part of the conversation.🙏

No yup are not
Would keeping shoes outside and next to the front door be okay? Thank you
Of course, it’s okay! unless you have so many shoes that it creates clutter like the example at 0:45.🤣 Remember, if Feng Shui is supposed to help you not make your life feel overly restrictive. If you can't do this and that, then something is off. It’s about creating balance, not stress. Hope this helps! 🙏
@ thank you. I love your videos
Thank you so much! 😊 I really appreciate your support and kind words!
I have a 2 storey house and what about if i have the toilet bowl above the entrance of the house?
What if house is South West in southern hemisphere?? Pls advice any suggestions pls

@@Allan-Teo Thank you.
What if as you open the front door you can see a window, but it leads to a garden. Is it positive ir still negative?
If your front door faces north, can you paint the interior of the that door yellow or gold? Or do you have to stick with black blue or grey? They say metallic colors but gold is metallic- isn’t it?
Thanks for your comment! 😊 I try to keep the focus on what’s covered in the video so everyone can get clear and relevant information.
Just a small tip-Directions do matter, but not in this context. What matters is what you have outside and inside your front door. you can face north south east west, but if you open your door and the first thing you see is a garbage dump, it’s definitely not good Feng Shui!

however, i really can't bear not to give you some advice. if you an ‘unofficial answer,’ or some "ideas" is what you wanted and if I’m allowed to make some assumptions, if the lanai door is between the main door and the metal gate, it’s best to close it off, so that it cuts of the straight line qi.
@@Allan-Teo thank you. Much obliged.
How about once you open the door and you see shoes (closed door), bags holder and dinning table?
Can we still leave shoes outside the door?
Mostly with those first thing you see is the kitchen. Problem when you put a screen it will make the area tight.
In Chinese Fung sui, kitchen basically means stoves

Thanks again for reaching out!🙏
what about a stairs when you enter the main door? is it bad

I have a window straight ahead from the front door in the living room. Can I just put blinds or window curtains?
Hi there! I’ve already answered this question in other comments, so feel free to check them out for more details. 😊 Thanks for understanding!
Now, about the idea of 'impossible'-that’s a mindset that great philosophers like Confucius would say is not correct.

Nice production Sir. 1st thing entering front door my place, Fish Tank that I keep spotless.
Thanks for your kind words!🙏
A well-looked after fish tank, that makes you smile when you come home as the 1st thing you see, is definitely one of the best item for front door feng shui!
As for the Spirit House, even though I follow a religion, Feng Shui itself isn’t connected to religion, spirituality, or magic, so I wouldn’t think that spirit house can stop Qi from moving in its natural course.

@Allan-Teo I thought you were just going to snob my comment. ;) Thank you for replying.
How about if the front door opens to the sliding patio doors and pool?

As for your question, it can be a bit difficult to visualize everything based on a comment, but from what you've described, it sounds like your front door opens into a living room with an open-concept kitchen, and the first thing you see is the island. While it's not ideal for the kitchen and living room to share the same space in Feng Shui, having the island in view when you enter is perfectly fine. If the island blocks the view of your stove or oven, that's even better!

My front door goes to an L hallway where the end is the door to the alfresco. Is it good or bad?
Thanks for your question! 😊 I have to admit, it's a bit difficult for me to visualize the exact layout based on the description. The flow of Qi can vary depending on the specifics of your space, so without a clearer picture, I wouldn't want to give you the wrong advice.🙏
However, if I “assumed” (unofficial advice, since I didn’t see the place), when you open the front door and there’s a passageway (L-shaped) before you see your living room and then the alfresco, it should be fine.
Keeping the curtain or windows closed for the open balcony is enough to fix it as well?
Hi there! I’ve already answered this question in other comments, so feel free to check them out for more details. 😊 Thanks for understanding!🙏
Hi..what if the maindoor is below the 2nd floor toilet?
that’s a tricky question!

Hi, thanks for reaching out! 😊 I just want to clarify, are you asking specifically about the mirror in the dining room or about the view of the dining room from the front door? As long as the mirror isn’t the first thing you see when you enter, it should be fine. It's also generally okay if the dining room is visible when you enter the house (hopefully your dining table isn’t too close to the entrance). What we want to avoid is having the kitchen, particularly the stove, as the first thing you see. Or the mirror, like super close to the entrance. How do curtains affect Chi escaping from front door out the balcony door? A crystal lamp or anything other than a bulky bookshelf?
Thanks for reaching out!😊
Honestly, curtains might not be strong enough to fully prevent Qi from escaping through the front door and out the balcony. As for a crystal lamp, while it carries good symbolism in Feng Shui, it does not hold or slow the Qi down.
My advice would be to keep a glass divider or door to the balcony closed if you have one. Otherwise, it’s okay to live with the setup.

What about a west facing front door. I was told its not good and can not be fixed.
awesome…Thank you❤
Do these bells and door knockers have to be actively used to achieve this?
Hi, thanks for the question! 😊 If I didn’t recommend it in my video, it means I don’t resonate with those things that much. Hope that helps! 🙏✨
Good presentation, all the best for future ❤
Thank you so much for the kind words! ❤ all the best to you too!

Which is considered your main entrance if you have two entrances/doors

What about HDBs / condos when they face another row of houses?
This video focuses on what's inside your house. For what's outside, check out my other video 👉 ua-cam.com/video/b8UKv4qQJAQ/v-deo.html
Thank You !
Most Welcome! ❤️
@@Allan-Teo okay I see. Thank you 👍 my living room always usually stays bright 🌄 I'm facing the East so I got the morning sunrise.
But most of the condos & hotels their kitchen and comfort room will be seen when you enter the front door
Thank you❤
My pleasure!❤️
Nice sharing
I read that a framed mirror hung inside the front door will bring the qi into the home… ?
I have no idea where that came from. You’d need to ask the person who wrote it! When you're unsure, it’s always a good idea to read from a few more sources to gauge what’s correct and what isn’t, since there’s an overwhelming amount of information out there-some right, some wrong, and some just different perspectives.
Alternatively, you could always follow one Feng Shui expert that you trust and know gives accurate advice. 😉
What if you live in apartment, where almost every room is wrong placed and you are stuck there?
Thanks for reaching out and engaging with this video! ❤️
I’m not entirely sure what you’re asking, and I don’t want to make any assumptions-could you clarify what you mean by ‘every room is wrong’?
Sell it!!!
If you’d like, you can also PM me to look into your Feng Shui (i can audit anywhere in the world), and we can work together to ensure everything is in harmony for your peace of mind.😊
What about those of us thst only use our backdoor ?
That's a great question!👍
If you're using your backdoor exclusively, it essentially functions as your front door in Feng Shui terms!
Where can mirrors be used?
I’ve actually covered some examples of where mirrors can be used in the video, so feel free to check it out! 😊 As long as mirrors aren’t placed directly facing the front door or creating too much reflection, they’re generally okay. You can refer to the video for more details-I put a lot of effort into explaining the best practices!
Keep up the work!
Thank you!🙏
