just got my DM3 with Dante and came back to this video to refresh my memory and why I bought it, thanks for your explanations, they are the best, nice and easy to follow.

This is a 16 channel mixer with a killer screen and user interface.
Think of it as the O1V96 replacement. It has way better reverbs than the tf series.
My wish list would include one card slot instead of dante on the standard model.

I bought a DM3 4 days ago and that one was obviously a demo model and some presets are not as they should be…. How can I do a ‘total recall’ of the mixer?

Can you play backing stereo track from a computer over USB while also using effects on the instruments? It sounded like you had to chose one or the other, but I’m hoping I’m wrong.

no! qsc has terrible effets. And I hope if this one could run spx it would be a killer feature...
What about the tm16 or tm 32? Those are great as well
@@nikolasvanegten3065 i also have 32 as well for big event. The reason I switch from tf1 to tm8 coz the compact size. But now dm3 much smaller then tf although still not compact enough as tm8/16 but sometimes i need the faders
Fyi i use digital console just like dave weckl does, put on my left side of my drums and do mixing for my band

why is it so limited? It is only good for a small band of 3-4 people. Why not include a more robust mixing engine that you can expand with dante equipped interfaces while maintaining the sub-compact form factor? if the core was as capable as the TF series, I'd jump on this immediately as I typically mix a couple vocals, two guitars, and playback, but sometimes we invite more band members and then this mixer is not enough.
For real. I mix at work on a PM and just want a board for side projects. This is closer to what I want than a TF, but is severely limited. They need to make a DM5 at around the $6000 mark for me to want to get it.
Then get something else, man. There's always a whinger. If it's not for you then don't get it. Simple.

It sound like if you sacrifice Fx, you can have 2 more inputs from Dante.
I havent checked yet. But I would guess it would be around 800-1000 euro with these specs.

And why do you have to have a computer to record all the channels.
You can offer band to record their gig with all seperated channels.
And as the TASCAMS have done for years. A stand alone unit. Record and mix all)-in-one would be ideal.
This looks way more though out than the rivage. You spend $1600 and get an amazing little console. You spend $100k with Yamaha you get a subpar outdated console with some never silk channels. What a rip off. This thing looks incredible tho

ohhh Yamaha again made TF, tf was awful and you do it again, of the same money in X32 M32 I have up to 32inputs, 16outputs, 8fx, it console ok for maybe conference or couple mics, and why you can't do normal power plug? if you want to kill m32 don't be greed
