The key to success is Don't let tiny seeds fall under the surfaces of soil, especially in loose soil since the seeds are too tiny. I failed once with zero germination and succeed second time after watched your video. Thank you very much.
@@growNglow your video was the fourth one down when looking first information on growing marjoram. All had music and little to no info. Just watching them put seeds in a tray. Trying to grow all the spices we use along with all the vegetables.
Sweet Marjoram is NOT same as Oregano. You seem to be confused. They have distinctly different smell. One question - can you take a stem and plant it and make it grow, rather than from the seed?
Thank you for watching. I think you will find that I made it clear throughout the video that Origanum majorana was related to Origanum vulgare. I have done a video on both. What many call Oregano here in asia is not really oregano at all (like Cuban oregano)
Now I know what I am doing wrong with my merjoram seeds! I have attempted several times with this herb and never see success because I was covering the seeds with soil. Thanks a lot.
How's she goin'? You have a great looking garden Pascal. We worry about not getting enough sun or the growing season being too short. I guess that's not a concern for you in the your area!!! LOL Take care!!
That WAS VERY, very refreshing- to see someone, so different than I, who is living in such a different place- ...making do with what he DOES HAVE, to grow plants and to LEARN more! I'm beginning to think there's some kind of nonsense goin' on here! Scam-artists, they are!)
As marjoram is normally grown in hot countries and is cold intolerant, I do not know why anybody would want to stratify their seeds before sowing. Stratifying would not mimic it's natural propagation. The only seed I can think of that I myself would stratify is lavender.

Hello! A question, if the seeds are very small like marjoram and thyme, is it recommended then not to bury the seeds under the soil and just leave them press on top? Thank you ☺️
@@growNglow tried planting thyme and buried its seeds under the soil. unfortunately i don't think they're germinating. will try putting them on top nxt time. thank you!
The seeds need light, but not full sun, so keep in the shade and do not water too much. Thank you for watching and good luck this time. If they grow, please come back and tell us all
Wow, you're inspirational. Can you suggest me what temperature should I maintain to see a successful germination of Marjoram and Oregano and Thyme seeds ? It's 10°C here in India now.
Hi Darren, I bought online over here. There is an Amazon link in my video description, where you can buy large packs (up to 1lb). Thank you for watching

You grown a lot - I already grabbed some if I lived close..
Hey there Janet. Sorry I missed you comment. Yes sure. I expect to see you both here next summer.
What brand of seeds did you buy? Thanks in advance
The ones I used were Condor, but that should not have a bearing on whether they grow or not
