- 🔥 HOT UPDATE 🔥: Remember Jim and Jeff Thiel, the identical twins from Capri Italian, a restaurant in Eagle Rock, California that Gordon Ramsay visited on the 4th Season of Kitchen Nightmares? We take a look at the changes made during the episode and then what happened AFTER Kitchen Nightmares.

100% agree. These two by far seemed the most genuine of the owners in Kitchen Nightmares. Even when they get angry it's from frustration, not over inflated ego. They're just... incredibly childish and needed help. And when they got it, they followed it.
It's not impressive, it's dumb luck. They're lazy, infantile, and irresponsible. Their business failed even after Ramsay because they weren't willing to put in the hard work. It looks like they ate more pizza than they sold.

Fun fact the twins have had movie/tv career they or at least one of them was in inspector gadget, black scorpion, the pretender etc. lol

Easy. They’re gross. Did you see them stick their hands into food and lick their fingers?? How dirty their place was?? Lazy and can’t cook. Their food was disgusting. I don’t go into a restaurant to eat because the owners are nice. I go for the good food. These two could mess up a frozen pizza. Just looking at the restaurant I wouldn’t let my dog eat there after the relaunch.

I hope these guys are still doing well. Many of the owners and staff that we get to see at other restaurants on this show aren't exactly people you want to cheer for, but these guys were cool. You could tell they cared, they were just really burnt out.
These guys were commercial actors right? I know I saw them in a couple of commercials.

Especially with the POS hypocritical totalitarian Democrats in California. Gavin Newsome told everybody they had to stay home and restaurants had to close down, except for his favorite restaurants like The French Laundry.
They actually sold to health reasons so I genuinely think they would've lost the place because of covid
it appears they already had lost everything. Its success was fake, the place was only busy when it was announced that Ramsey was going to be there.

A pizza with everything , chicken wings and a meatball sub and prob sodas and 37 dollars is steep ? The pizza alone with everything is like 35 dollars 😂
Yeah for SoCal that’s good af, there are okay large pizzas going for $30, wings are like $20 and a sub is $15.
Update: Jim has a photo up of him and Jeff on his Facebook page from January 2024. It appears he is on oxygen, but they both look happy, and I was so glad to see that Jim was still with us. ❤

I did doordash for an order from their place once. The Soda they served for the delivery was in a red solo cup with tape on the lid. They were literally sitting at the table and the place was empty

@@beautifulmidnight That pizza wasn't anywhere near large, there were only 4 wings albeit large ones, and Large chain brands like Dominos offer similar sandwiches for 6 bucks.
@@joepermenter7228dominos is abysmal. Barely any cheese or sauce on the pies. You get what you pay for. Dominos sucks except for those pasta bowls. Even those are just mid.
Wings are least $12, pizza probably $25 and a sandwich is a solid $17. He got out wicked cheap.
Remember the inflation rate going up? Stuff used to be a bit cheaper ^^'
Yeah, I've worked briefly and worked at a "I've eaten in one so i can run one" restaurant. It opened one month and closed the next!

Anice inn and suites from hotel impossible got a massive update recently that would be great for your hypothetical future video about it. Some urban explorers went to the property and found that it has been completely sealed off with chain link fence and abandoned with everything still behind all the beds, tvs, furniture, etc. it’s like everyone just left the property and never came back. It was quite eerie to see on video.

It was renamed to I-Drive Grand Resort & Suites after Hotel Impossible. It was a dump and was condemned and closed by the City of Orlando in 2020. It's now a hangout for homeless and drug users. It's dangerous and a public nuisance It's a huge property land-wise, and the old-style motel buildings are beyond repair. Eventually, someone will buy it and bulldoze it.
You can see why they weren't getting the business - they didn't adapt or change with the times. They kept Gordon's theme and food for over a decade. They kept the same décor, everything. No changing with the times. They should have kept updating their food for the times, and do some refurbishment/renovations to make it look new and vibrant at least once in the last ten years. See how the new owner converted it? That is where the twins failed.
These guys are up there with Mixing Bowl for me as far as owners I'm rooting for
To work 20 years on something and end up financially worse than when you started must be crushing.

The twins seem like lovely guys if slight manchildren, it's a shame that they had the financial struggles post selling the retirement and perhaps they should have called it a day a year or two earlier in order to save a little more of their money.
Daaamn I had completely forgotten about that ad. I saw them do the “taxes” ad and then saw them on KN and was like: “I’ve seen these dudes before”. That’s crazy! I hope they are doing well!

I worked here for like 3 days ! The twins were pretty cool noted I didn’t know they were famous until after I quit . They had a table all the way in the back with a pile of papers and a laptop ! I guess that was their office ? That’s where I had my interview and turned in my application. It’s a hipster spot now I would have rather they still be there instead
This place is now a busy bar/dinner spot tons of people nightly the new owner definitely flipped it to be something great serving great Italian food. Definitely worth checking out now.
Gordon paid for that “Award” so it makes for more dramatic TV.
At first I these two guys where going to fail. But after one of the bros started to cry, and he knew that they could do better. I was thinking "There is some hope for these two brothers", and MAN did they turn it around.

Dang. I looked into this a while ago, and this always seemed to be the restaurant that was doing the best post-show. It's a shame that that's no longer the case.

I went to eat there right before Covid hit, food was really good and got to meet one of the twins

Am I the only one who found these two obnoxious? Everyone else seems to love these guys, but to me they were just immature and weak. They threw toddler tantrums any time they were challenged by Ramsey the slightest bit, and are lazier than a drunken sloth.
The twins are an example of staying positive even in the hard times.
restaurant impossible is the counter part of this, with robert irvine and he does things differently , could be great if you could add it to the list, then lastest newer show is Motel Rescue, which again i took offense to, on their 1st or 2nd episode, where she rehab a danish motel. you should the hotel impossible episode, where he visits the woodstock area, you jaw will drop when you watch that episode, beats Hotel Hell by a mile on that episode

I always wondered if they weren't a but developmentally delayed. The way they were so very childlike. I think Gordon figured it out too. He seemed to take it easier in them.
These guys are a spitting image of an old boss I had when I was a school bus mechanic decades ago ….Jack. A genuine great guy but he was only a splash meaner than these two.

Now it would be funny if they could manage table switches. So threw the night one is working the front the other the kitchen. In 2 diferent shirts. So front guy goes to the back the other grabs a tray and hits the front. And do this multiple times during the same night. But only if they can keep the flow and quality going

They REALLY want the world to forget that they were once actors. They were recurring characters on Teen Angel, which was made possible by Al Jean and Mike Reiss who both worked on The Simpsons. The twins were also in the 1999 Inspector Gadget
