something about Karen, she's the type of actress that just keeps you hanging on her every word.....something about her personality that keeps you on the edge, wondering what she'll do or say next. This is why in almost every movie she was in, she stole the show. She will be missed.

'The Day Of the Locust' one of my very favorite movies of all time, for it's rather complex look at society during the first depression -

Enjoy listening to Karen Black so much; especially memories of DAY OF THE LOCUST. Now I am picturing Ray Bolger as her father in the film; I can picture that. Coco Peru looks fabulous here. Just a note: at 4:55 with the laughter and Karen Black saying, "That isn't funny." The comment WASN'T funny. So often an audience feels the need to laugh at everything said; I wonder if they are even really listening? Too bad if they weren't here, because it is a great interview. Thank you for posting.

5 votes short my ass. Karen should of had the Oscar for 5 Easy Pieces. Not only was she ripped off on that but for Day of the Locust AND Great Gatsby. In 1971, she SHOULD have won for Easy Pieces, She would of beaten Tatum O Neal easily for Gatsby. But in 75 Carol Kane deserved the Oscar for Hester Street. But Karen definitely deserved the nomination

I love Karen and Coco! One of the best interviews ever and so funny! The only fault I can find is that Coco doesn't set up a story well. She assumes we already know all of Karen's movies even the obscure ones. I just wish that Coco would have mentioned what movie they were discussing and what year it came out and what it was about or what character was playing. I had to go onto www.imdb.com to find out the names of some of the movies.
