  • Today, Marvin Musick from Medicare School breaks down the 7 Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans that are rarely discussed, covering what they include and how they are different from one another. He provides a detailed overview of Plans A, B, K, L, N, G, and F, explaining the gaps each plan covers in Original Medicare Parts A and B.
Musick gives clarity to key points like standardized coverage across carriers, premium variations, household discounts, and the best time to enroll without medical underwriting. He also addresses foreign travel coverage and compares the costs of these lesser-known Medigap plans.
Whether you're turning 65 or re-evaluating your supplemental coverage, this video offers the help you need to confidently choose the best Medigap plan for your situation and needs.

People don't understand that the prices of things are never going back down. This inflation is deeper than we think. Those buying groceries are well aware that the real inflation is much over 10%. The increments don't match our income, yet certain investors still earn over $365,000 in stocks and assets. Wish I could accomplish that.

Financial planning is like navigation. If you know where you are and where you want to go, navigation isn't such a great problem. It's when you don't know the two points that it's difficult

Money is not meant to control people rather it is meant to be put to work producing more money for you. You cannot build wealth without putting money in its rightful place.

Very possible! especially at this moment. Profits can be made in many different ways, but such intricate transactions should only be handled by seasoned market professionals.

Having an investment advisor is the best way to go about the stock market right now. I was going solo, but it wasn't working. I've been in touch with an advisor for a while now, and just last year, I made over 80% capital growth minus dividends.

Very helpful. I've been on Medicare for 4 years and still don't completely understand it. Last year I went through underwriting and passed, and changed from a plan with 5/6 gaps covered and no foreign travel coverage and no listing (in the company's paperwork) for ambulance coverage (and no one who could tell me what it was) to a new plan with 5/6 gaps covered, foreign travel coverage, and ambulance coverage actually listed as a covered item. So I wonder what Medicare requirements are for ambulance coverage.
I haven't found any company in my state (MN) that explains their coverage so clearly as these videos. The company/plan that I'm with now has never used the Medicare letters (F, N, etc) to explain anything and uses really inconsistent terminology (in my opinion) throughout the documents they do send out. It must be that customer confusion works to the company's advantage, although I don't know why they wouldn't want everyone buying their most expensive plans. I still don't know which letter applies to my plan, but it seems to be a good plan and so far covers what I expect it to cover.
Anyway, thank you for a great video.

@@perindne MOOP is an acronym that stands for maximum out-of-pocket costs. It is the annual limit on out-of-pocket expenses for medical services that are covered by a health plan. MOOPs include the portion of the bill the client owes for deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments. After reaching the MOOP, the plan pays 100% of the costs for covered services

Note that Medicare Part A and B are different from Supplement Plan A/B/C/.../G/N etc. I know it's confusing to use the same letters for both Medicare "Part" and Medigap/Supplement "Plan". You'd think they'd at least make one uppercase and the other lowercase or something.

New York supplement plans are expensive because they are guaranteed issue in that state. If someone on Advantage gets sick, they can switch to plan G without underwriting, which then drives up costs for the supplement plan. In most states you can't do that.
